My Brothers and Sisters of the Haine's ward, this week we are studying from the beginning of the New Testament, Starting with Matthew 1 and Luke 1. If you are like me, you might have read these chapters only just a few weeks ago as we celebrated Christmas, as some of these chapters highlight the Nativity. This time reading through these chapters however had me reflecting on how God's will is manifest, and how difficult it can be to submit our will to his. If you haven't already, I invite all of you to participate in the study activity by making a chart in a study journal and write down your thoughts on what you can learn from Mary and Elizabeth's experience. I for one learned just how willing Mary was to accept God's plan for her, and when we too have become favored in the Lord, we also have no reason to fear. I hope you all have as spiritual experience studying this material as I have, hope to see you all on Sunday.
Thank you
Brother Jordan Barton
The missionaries in our zone are having a free car wash tomorrow morning at the Eubank Building. Does someone have buckets we can borrow?
Hello, Everyone,

Darcy Reese is in need of several volunteers to help her move some belongings into a storage unit this Friday, September 15th, starting at 5:30 pm. If you have a truck and/or trailer that would be helpful as well. Also, please note that she does have some heavy / larger items that need to be moved, such as an organ and piano. She also has several larger pieces of furniture, and if you have some tools to help disassemble some of that furniture, that would help as well (I didn't get specifics, though I'm thinking screw drivers and a ratchet set may come in handy).

The storage unit is off of Eubank and Central (across the street from Home Depot and Costco). She also needs help unloading her items into the storage unit. If you could help with that it would be appreciated as well.

We have a new family moving into the ward and could use some volunteers to assist in unloading their belongings. I've been told that hand trucks and/or furniture dolly's, etc, if you have them, will help this move go smoother.

Time: 2:00 pm

* Note: I forgot to clarify if this was a NE or SE address. However, using google maps, it appears that there is only a house at 733 Wellesley NE and not one at the SE location.
Hello, Everyone,

Gospel Principles
We will hear from Brother Palmer as he leads us in a discussion about service. The lesson is found in the Gospel Principles book, chapter 28. I would like to challenge each of us to be prepared to share a testimony of service by finding at least one act of service to perform between now and the lesson next Sunday.

Gospel Doctrine
Brother Dooley will be teaching us about the Mantle of Elijah, from Chapter 28 in the Gospel Doctrine Manual. I would like to extend the challenge to each of us to read and study the lesson, as well as 2 Kings, Chapters 2, 5, and 6 to think about how you each have a testimony of the the Prophets we have in these latter days.

Thank you,
The Haines Ward Sunday School Presidency
