Our prayers go out to Bishop Hutchinson --
Bishop William Hutchinson suffered a cerebral aneurysm while preaching in Atlanta yesterday morning, Sunday, November 23, 2014. Prayerfully the doctor was able to repair it through a cerebral angiogram yesterday and hopefully the bishop will need no further surgery. To aid in the healing, he is heavily sedated as he recovers. There appears to be NO physical damage at this time. Both Hutchinson sons, John and Mark, are with Kay in Atlanta. The plans at this time are for Bishop Hutchinson to be in the hospital for the next two weeks. Please keep praying for Bishop Hutchinson, Kay and their family. They feel your prayers.
Cards can be sent to their son, John, for Bishop Hutchinson at:

The New Mexico Methodist Foundation mourns the passing of Rev. Leonard Gillingham who passed away on Friday September 26. Rev. Sanford Coon offered the following words: "I so respected Leonard and all the time I was ED/Pres I was grateful for his years of service in the Conference and on the Foundation Board, his tenure as the interim ED between Bill Hutchinson and me, and his generous care as I was considering and applying for the position. I do feel a real sadness in his loss from our midst!"
Rev Gillingham was a long-time pastor in the New Mexico Annual Conference, having served various churches since 1960. He was also the district superintendent for the Clovis District from 1982-1986. He began as a part-time local pastor in 1950 with the Oklahoma Conference.
Services will be held Tuesday Sept. 30 at 4pm CT at First UMC in Weatherford, OK.
St. John's in Albuquerque will have a very informal Gathering of Remembrance at 3pm MT coinciding with the service in Weatherford. Everyone is welcome and invited to bring something for the alter, a story, poem, etc. to share.
Please be in prayer for Leonard's wife, Martha, and all their family and friends.

Those we love don't go away, they walk beside us every day, unseen, unheard, but always near. Still loved, still missed and very dear.
Big news today! After extensive discussions and a year of preparation, the foundation lead by John Rivas, President, is joining forces with the Texas Methodist Foundation to become one foundation. Great news for the congregations and generous folks we serve. Life is good. We invite you to view a short video of the presidents of the New Mexico Conference and Texas Methodist Foundations discussing this event.
