A word from Nate at EPCC about their cancellation for summer 2020.
Due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the board and staff at El Porvenir have decided to suspend all summer camp operations through August 1st 2020. While we are sad...
🌎 Now the darkness fades
Into new beginnings
As we lift our eyes to a hope beyond
All creation waits
With an expectation
To declare the reign of the Lord our God
We will not be moved
When the earth gives way
For the risen One has overcome
And for every fear
There's an empty grave
For the risen One has overcome

Our world faces the challenges with the spread of Coronavirus (COVID-19). As Christians, we are driven by trust in God, and not fear. Your leaders have been watching, discussing, and praying about our response to the spread of this virus. Early in the week we planned to make a safe worship experience. While our first response was to continue with Sunday worship, in light of the guidance of health officials we want to participate in stopping the virus.
This means we will not hold public worship this Sunday, March 15th. Instead, we decided to have Church Where We Are rather than hold a gathering at our church building. We invite you to hold church right where you are located by connecting with another family for prayer. Host a conference phone call with 2-3 people typically near you in church. Find a way to virtually gather with your weekly First Group. We have posted a video to our YouTube chanel from our Senior Minister, Brady Bryce, that will provide some ideas about how to gather where you are this week for church.
We are making plans about ways to connect in future weeks for worship, teaching, fellowship because our desire is to grow as disciples of Jesus. We want to hear from you. Share what you do tomorrow with fellow Christians. Share your ideas of how we can together pursue God during this season. Email: [email protected]
For now, 1) Seek God in prayer, 2) wash your hands more than 30 seconds with warm water and soap, 3) cover coughs/sneezes with arm/shoulder/tissue (not hand), 4) avoid touching your face, eyes, mouth, and avoid public places/gatherings of 100 plus.
This situation presents us an opportunity. We bear witness to God by our practice, allowing God to be our strength. When fear and anger and blame are present, then we are relying upon our own strength rather than God’s strength. So, let’s find our security in God even in the chaos around us and even when faced with our suffering or death. From this place of confidence in God, we can live and worship with wise action.

In light of today's report of COVID-19 cases in New Mexico, we want to let you know that we are taking steps to ensure a safe worship space for all those attending our weekly services.
We will be changing the way we pass out communion to prevent multiple people handling the trays, cups, and bread. We are also changing our children's snacks to single-serving packages. As always, our Clubhouse and Preschool workers will continue to practice proper hand hygiene and ensure the kids are washing their hands as well. We encourage you to do the same.
Remember, if you are not feeling well, please stay home. Send us a prayer request so we can lift you up before the Lord.
May God bless you as you continue to bring Jesus to a community in need.
That’s some holy power straight from the King! 👑

There is an abundance of freedom when we live without fear. The evil one wants us to live being fearful of the future and filled with self-doubt.
Be mindful of letting God into your thoughts so he can smash those fears! There is no place for evil here 💥
