Read Across America Day began in 1997. The National Education Association pushed to have a special day to encourage reading across the United States, particularly in school-aged children. The first Read Across America Day was held on March 2, 1998, the same day as Dr. Seuss's Birthday. Today the mission of Read Across America is to promote reading fun and diverse books all year long. To see the recommended list of books for each month, visit:
www.nea.org/professional-excellence/student-engagement/read-across-america/2020-2021-calendar

The first week of March, we have celebrated Dr. Seuss's birthday and enjoyed reading some of his books. The rest of the month, we will read a variety of folktales: tall tales, fairy tales, fables, myths, and legends.

Thank you for your support with the online Scholastic Book Fair!

Bishop Robert Barron

Bishop Barron gives an amazing description of God’s role in our achievements. It is a must watch.

Friends, in this new video, I reflect on a recent remark made by Governor Cuomo in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, one that was characterized by a misunderstanding of God that is all too common, even among believers.

In the beginning* was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.a He was in the beginning with God.
All things came to be through him, and without him nothing came to be. What came to be through him was life, and this life was the light of the human race; the light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.

John 1: 1 - 5

He is Risen, Indeed He is!

Christ light is in the world. In the world where there is darkness, our family shares the light of Christ.
