Archbishop Wester, I am a parishioner at Our Lady of Mount Carmel (Estancia Valley Catholic Parish). I wanted to send a letter to tell you of the blessing that Father Simon Carian brought to our church. Father Jason Pettigrew was assigned to our parish last year and the parish absolutely loved him. We as a parish thought, we now have a cowboy priest that relates to the rural area of the Estancia Valley. We as a parish were saddened when he received his transfer letter to Clayton, NM. Little did we know that it was a blessing in disguise. The transfer of Father Jason made way for this young looking man to arrive at our parish. Father Simon is a breath of fresh air to the Catholic Church. Father Simon’s passion for Christ is readily apparent and contagious. Father Simon makes a 2500 year old book relevant to events happening today and relates it to present day family issues. Father Simon is very direct in his teachings and does not candy coat things. Right is right and wrong is wrong no matter who the person or faction is that it affects. Father Simon is dynamic and engages his congregation during his homily. The biggest thing that I observed was Father Simon’s awakening of the youth in our parish. Father Simon celebrated his final mass at OLMC yesterday. The church was filled to capacity for his final mass. The church had more people in attendance for Father Simon’s final mass than it did for Christmas or Easter (which is sad). Wherever Father Simon is placed, he will light a fire in that parish. Archbishop Wester, I understand that you are in a difficult position attempting to cover all the parishes with a shortage of priests. I am sad to see Father Simon depart our parish so soon. Father Simon will do great things with his passion for Christ and wanting to spread the word. I am praying that this again will be a blessing in disguise.
Happy Birthday, Archbishop Wester!
This book is different in the sense it goes through each chapter in Revelation starting from chapter one of Revelation to Chapter 22 and the second difference is it has Gentiles and Jews here during the great Tribulation according to Scripture. Below is a preview of the book The apostle Paul tells us in 2 Corinthians 5: 8 (KJV): "We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.” This passage explains that when we are absent from the body, in case of death we are then taken to the presence of the Lord and, according to the book of Luke, angels will carry us to the presence of the Lord. Luke 16:22 (KJV): “And it came to pass, that the beggar died, and was carried by the angels into Abraham's bosom: the rich man also died and was buried.” We see the angels carrying Lazarus into the bosom of Abraham who was in Paradise, and we know that when Jesus died he took Paradise to heaven. Luke 23: 42-43 (KJV): “And he said unto Jesus, Lord, remember me when thou come into thy kingdom. And Jesus said unto him, Verily I say unto thee, today shalt thou be with me in paradise. Then how do the dead in Christ rise first if they are already in the presence of the Lord? The rapture is the reunion of the spirit with our bodies, but many people’s body who already died are in graves here on earth. So, in the rapture, those who are still alive will see dead bodies raising from the grave. 1 Thessalonians 4: 16-17 “For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air: and so shall we ever be with the Lord.” When Jesus will come, those who are already dead will enter into new bodies after the Holy Spirit raises them up.” 1 Corinthians 15: 52 (KJV): “In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” This scenario will appear like the modern version of a TV show "The zombie apocalypse," but it will convert to Christ many unbelievers as they will witness something supernatural. Revelation 11:11 “And after three days and a half the Spirit of life from God entered into them, and they stood upon their feet; and great fear fell upon them which saw them.” The Holy Spirit will raise the bodies from the grave as He did in Romans 8:11 (KJV): “But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwelleth in you, he that raised up Christ Jesus from the dead shall give life also to your mortal bodies through his Spirit that dwelleth in you.” So fear will fall on anyone seeing the dead bodies raising from the graves joining with the spirits who descended from Jesus as He returns, but those frighten people will give glory to God and become saved. Revelation 11:13 (KJV): “And the same hour was there a great earthquake, and the tenth part of the city fell, and in the earthquake were slain of men seven thousand: and the remnant were affrighted and gave glory to the God of heaven.” The frighten ones will reign in the thousand-year reign. Zechariah 14:2-4 and Revelation 16:14-16 is the battle of Armageddon and after the battle. Zechariah 14:16 (KJV): “And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left of all the nations which came against Jerusalem shall even go up from year to year to worship the King, the LORD of hosts, and to keep the feast of tabernacles.” We know that eventually not all of them will stay true to the Lord and will follow Satan, as we show scriptures in our book of the events. Those who will turn their back on God will be tormented with Satan in the Lake of Fire with the rest of the dead. The description of the end time scenario of our book is different from the traditional movies and popular interpretations of the rapture. Commonly, movies that took inspiration from popular doctrines portrayed the rapture by omitting the divine sequence of the prophecy - when scriptures are overlooked - and display a scenario of missing people all of sudden, leaving desolate images after that. So, let the Word of God speaks as it proceeded out of His mouth and as He revealed it to us in a divine and perfect order. Comparing scriptures with scriptures, as taught in 1 Corinthians 2:13, we can be assured that it is God's spirit guiding us in the interpretation of the prophecy to stay firm within the Word that God provided for us. as a recent ex Roman Catholic I would like to congratulate ABp Wester on saying Mass and giving the Holy Body of Christ to the most evil woman in NM, Michelle Lujan Grisham. HB 51 will clear the Senate and be signed by this woman. ABp Wester, you let her use the Church for Satan's agenda. The blood of babies will be on your hands. Me....I will find a church that truly follows Jesus.
Wester declares bankruptcy. Can someone please explain to me that the church has not made a single one of these accusers prove it in court. Please? I don't believe half of them.

What Do We Do With This Great Love?
Francis's own song defined love for him. It was to live and be in God’s most holy will. And Francis has learned from Christ’s own words in the Gospels what God’s will is for those who love him. They are to feed the hungry, give drink to those who thirst, welcome the stranger, clothe the naked, visit the sick and those in prison. And they are to do all that for love of his love who did the same for us when he walked among us. He remembered when he was hungry and thirsty, and a stranger, and naked, sick and in prison. And there were those who gave him food and water, and welcomed him and the brothers when they were on the road, and those who visited him when he was sick, and wanted to visit him in prison and could not. Love is of the heart, Francis thought, but loving is about acting and living out God’s will revealed in Jesus Christ and in those who love him. How simple it all was if you loved the Lord. And it was good, and now he had done what was his to do. He prayed the brothers would do now what was theirs to do.

Saints Cyril and Methodius
February 14. Often missionaries face the difficulties of language and culture. Saints Cyril and Methodius were no exceptions. But they faced the difficulties by writing the foreign language in a new alphabet and translating the liturgy for the local people.

Gospel of the Day (Mark 7,31-37)

Jesus left the district of Tyre and went by way of Sidon to the Sea of Galilee, into the district of the Decapolis.
And people brought to him a deaf man who had a speech impediment and begged him to lay his hand on him.
He took him off by himself away from the crowd. He put his finger into the man's ears and, spitting, touched his tongue;
then he looked up to heaven and groaned, and said to him, "Ephphatha!" (that is, "Be opened!")
And (immediately) the man's ears were opened, his speech impediment was removed, and he spoke plainly.
He ordered them not to tell anyone. But the more he ordered them not to, the more they proclaimed it.
They were exceedingly astonished and they said, "He has done all things well. He makes the deaf hear and (the) mute speak."

Seeking Perfect Joy
The spirituality of St. Francis is not so much about the heroic deed as it is about the heroic love with which even the smallest deed is done. That is very clear from the quintessential story of Perfect Joy. It is not what Francis and Leo endure from the abusive brother that counts. It is, as Francis says to Leo, when we bear such abuse and suffering, “remembering the sufferings of Christ, the Blessed One, and how He taught us to bear all things for love of Him, then write down, Brother Leo, ‘This is perfect joy.’” Francis loved Christ and wanted to die into his love who is the incarnation of how far God will go in his love for us. He wants to be one with the Beloved, even in his rejection and suffering and unjust death at the hands of those for whom he came to reveal the goodness and love of God.

Gospel of the Day (Mark 7,24-30)

Jesus went to the district of Tyre. He entered a house and wanted no one to know about it, but he could not escape notice.
Soon a woman whose daughter had an unclean spirit heard about him. She came and fell at his feet.
The woman was a Greek, a Syrophoenician by birth, and she begged him to drive the demon out of her daughter.
He said to her, "Let the children be fed first. For it is not right to take the food of the children and throw it to the dogs."
She replied and said to him, "Lord, even the dogs under the table eat the children's scraps."
Then he said to her, "For saying this, you may go. The demon has gone out of your daughter."
When the woman went home, she found the child lying in bed and the demon gone.

Pope says there is no quick fix for priest shortage in Amazon region

The members of the Synod of Bishops for the Amazon in October asked Pope Francis to open the way for the priestly ordination of married permanent deacons so that Catholics in the region could go to Mass and receive the sacraments regularly.

In response, Pope Francis wrote in his new document that the priest shortage must be seen as an opportunity for the Catholic Church to “awaken new life in communities.”
