AZ-One is a nonprofit that attempts to answer the question: What can unified followers of Jesus do AS ONE to grow God’s kingdom in the Albert Lea area?
We are business owners. We are pastors from different denominations. We are ordinary people. We are community.
In the book of Revelations, Jesus addressed the churches by city. There was no doubt many small congregations of believers in each of the large cities Jesus addressed, but they were collectively accountable for building the kingdom of God in their region. Is there any reason to believe that Jesus doesn’t still view His Church geographically? If so, shouldn’t the unified body of Christ find way to work together? AZ-One is a local nonprofit that attempts to answer the question: What can unified followers of Jesus do AS ONE to grow God’s kingdom in the Albert Lea area? After praying over this question with a group of businessmen and pastors, we came up with four primary initiatives:
•Service projects in the communities.
•Short-term mission trips.
•Leadership training. Our goal is to build platforms that provide high-impact opportunities for Christians to passionately serve according to their giftedness, so that the power of Christ’s resurrection will be evident to everyone in our region.

[08/07/19] Faith is a way to receive God’s gift. Faith doesn’t save us. God saves us. God does all the work. Faith simply receives what God has done. Faith trusts in Jesus. It’s not faith that saves us, it’s the object of our faith – God – working in and through Jesus Christ. (Rich Nathan)

9 words that can change your perspective!
The Nine Words: You may know that my wife took a fall about a week ago and shattered her femur. The result is surgery and hospitalization. At first, I was in shock. This was not in our plans. Our house is for sale. We are in lots of transition. This is an interruption - an unwelcome complication. Robin has been through many surgeries since her car accident nineteen years ago but usually we get to prepare for them and plan around them. Not this time.
It was well after midnight last Wednesday when the Nine Words came to mind. I was pacing the floor, waiting for her to come back to her hospital room after her surgery. Suddenly, my awareness shifted to the Nine Words and I began to ponder them again and again: "How is God at work in all of this?" Instead of meditating on the frustration, the waiting, the "you're not in control" feelings and the dread, the Nine Words started moving my thoughts in a different direction. Out of myself. Into The Master's hands.
May I commend these Nine Words to you today? You, too, may well feel "interrupted" by some X-factors you didn't see coming. Or life may just feel stuck, complicated, or dreadful. See if you can pause the thoughts and feelings that are clamoring for your attention long enough to lift your head and ask The Lord: "How might You be at work in all of this?" Ask Him again. And again. If you do, you might find yourself navigating things with more hope, expectation, and wonder than you imagined possible.
