Can anyone use these 12 1/2 size skorts? I forgot to bring them to the uniform exchange. Charlotte has outgrown them.
Thought this would be helpful as we look at beginning the new school year.
Thank you to all of you for being such caring and amazing educators!!
Join us this Saturday for a Spaghetti Supper and bake sale. All proceeds support our school, come hungry! Meal ticket includes a make your own ice cream sundae bar. Kids under 3 are free. Why cook, when we can do it for you.
Thank you, St. Theodore students, for joining us for A Christmas Story this morning! We hope you enjoyed the show.
Free size 3 white/navy Oxfords for any girl that would wear them. I bought them for Charlotte this summer for school and she wore them for the 1st day of school and they are already too small! Thank goodness I thought ahead and bought a size 4 too! If your daughter would wear them, let me know and I’ll send them to school with Charlotte. They’ve only been worn Tuesday!
I know the uniform exchange is tomorrow, but does anyone have jumpers size 8.5 or skirts/skorts size 7.5 to sell? Charlotte will be starting Kindergarten and I’m looking for a total of 5 to purchase. Thanks!
Hello everyone! I am in search of small jumpers for Lillian. If any one has any size 5 jumpers that your little ones are not wearing anymore I would like to buy them from you. Let me know thanks!

Art class number one is in the books! This week was all about reviewing color theory, the rainbow and Roy G. Biv as a trick to remember how the colors of the rainbow fit together. Kindergarten and first grade created beautiful rainbows complete with raindrops. Second and third graders showed their sweet tooth with rainbow icing topping a cupcake. Oil pastels and watercolors were highlighted with white oil pastels to give the frosting depth and sheen. Fourth and fifth graders have rainbows in both their central design feature and then reviewed contrasting colors in another rainbow around the background.

Today’s lesson was all about printmaking. Each class used a different technique. I apologize for not having more photos of the kids, I got all caught up in the process and forgot to take pictures! Fourth and fifth graders created a printing plate from thin meat tray foam and printed 4 times on a larger square paper to make a design with radial symmetry. The kindergartners and first graders created the ice cream cones with cones and ice cream scoops. They also printed their shapes from foam plates they cut out. It was fun to listen because when they were “inking” their ice cream scoop plates they talked not in terms of color, but rather in terms of flavor! To finish their creations they added a watercolor wash to the background. Second and third graders printed directly from a paint and aluminum foil covered cardboard square into which they drew using a Q-tip. They learned new art terms and phrases such as monoprint, printing plate, radial symmetry, inking their print plate, (even though we used tempera paint), brayer and pulling a print. It was messy... they loved it!

So... two weeks ago in art class we created Mother’s Day gifts, hence the delay in this post! We didn’t want to spoil the surprise! All classes created ceramic coasters, complete with cork backs, which they decorated with Sharpie markers. Then the fun began when they added alcohol to the surface which dissolved the markers and allowed the colors to blend and mix! A coat of clear acrylic spray gave them extra shine and durability.

Yesterday I had one of those warm fuzzy teacher moments, watching our young artists confidently create. This was a mixed media project and they pulled skills learned throughout the year to compose nothing less than Masterpieces! This project started two classes ago when they created painted paper sheets, which are full sheets of paper painted randomly with Tempra paint, in this case a green sheet and a colored sheet. Last class they drew and cut out flowers, stems and leaves from those sheets and composed their flowers. This week we added details, any choice and combinations of colored pencils, markers, crayons and oil pastels. The last step was adding watercolor washes. Parents.... I hope you are saving, framing and displaying selected pieces, these kids got talent!
