Last week Our Savior Lutheran Church Alamogordo, New Mexico celebrated their 60th Anniversary! We had a wonderful service and a delicious pot luck! We also enjoyed some fantastic fellowship and great stories from the past 60 years. Our Savior has had a big impact on our community and continues to support local projects every week and month all year long. #goodnewsalamogordo #WeAreLutheran #GiveAlamogordo #adventuresforlife
In honor of sharing Martin Luther's Dream, not just the holiday, but every day! Ties of love and hope abound!
Prayer Vigil TONIGHT! In response to yet another mass shooting, we gather around the Pascal Candle and Font. Tonight at 6:30pm in the Sanctuary. This takes the place of our Bible Study. Bring Bibles, laments, and prayers. Please, invite friends. If you cannot be at church, please be in prayer with us at the same time. And then, may our prayers change our hearts and motivate our hands, and voices. Peace, Kristi

Our Mission is to Proclaim the Gospel of Christ, to Worship through Word and Sacrament, and to Nurture all People to the Christian Faith.

Today, we commemorate Mary, the Mother of Our Lord.

Almighty God, in choosing the virgin Mary to be the mother of your Son, you made known your gracious regard for the poor, the lowly, and the despised. Grant us grace to receive your word in humility, and so to be made one with your Son, Jesus Christ our Savior and Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and forever.

โ€œLast week, we lost a hero,โ€ writes Jim Winkler of the National Council of Churches. โ€œThe son of sharecroppers, a Civil Rights icon, and a moral compass for America, John Lewis encouraged a whole new generation of us to get into โ€˜good trouble.โ€™ This Thursday, July 30, Lewis will be laid to rest. During the funeral, in partnership with the Lewis family and office, houses of worship across the country will ring their bells at 11 a.m. [Eastern Time] for 80 seconds, one second for each year of Lewis's life.โ€

Faithful God, most merciful judge, you care for your children with firmness and compassion. By your Spirit nurture us who live in your kingdom, that we may be rooted in the way of your Son, Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord.

O God, you have called your servants to ventures of which we cannot see the ending, by paths as yet untrodden, through perils unknown. Give us faith to go out with good courage, not knowing where we go, but only that your hand is leading us and your love supporting us; through Jesus Christ our Lord. Amen. (ELW, p. 317)

Creator God, we marvel in awe of the expansiveness of your creation. Your margins of diversity are boundless, and for that, we thank you. Each of our beloved LGBTQIA+, brown, and black siblings are beautifully and wonderfully made, all in Your image.
