A center that builds the community by providing services and programs for all ages to enjoy. Wright Center usage is focused on providing services and programs which build community.
While the Center is owned and supported by the Akron First UMC, its programming and meeting space is used to meet the needs of the entire community, in particular those who may not have access to support services and training. Current programs at the Wright Center include:
Opportunities for youth (Boy Scouts, youth sports programs, special events geared to youth). Reading help for at-risk element

***All residents must wear a face mask. Only one representative per family is allowed to walk up the front ramp, be 6 feet apart, as per COVID-19 guidelines for safety. Each family representative is asked the number of children for the family, and then Pick Up and Go ! No signatures or paperwork to fill out is needed.
** We need help from community volunteers with the distribution. PPE will be provided. Also welcome are donations of PPE and hand sanitizer. If you, or an organization, business, or church, are interested in helping in any way, please contact Judy Moore at [email protected] or call 716-536-1261.

Geocaching event on November 9th! "The Film Festival itself is an event for local Geocachers to get together and watch homemade films that other Geocachers have submitted to Geocaching.com. They pick the best 10 or so to show at events. For a two week period every November local cachers host Film Festivals in their hometowns all over the world. My wife and I host the WNY edition every year."
