I'm here!
Wonderful little church. Love it there. Good preaching straight from the Bible.
Rob here. Just wanted to let my church family at Omega know we are getting settled into our church and area. We have not gotten lost nor have we gone down a one way road the wrong way. Praise the Lord! The first Sunday I preached (24th of Dec) for an hour (never done that before) and I guess they forgave me because I got to preach again. We had our first communion service at the church this morning. It was a blessing. Love all of you and hope to see you when we come back to the area perhaps in April.
Rob here. Thanks again for being such a blessing to us these last seven months. Thanks also for the wonderful meal we had together Sunday. It was a great encouragement. Blessings
Did you video Sundays service with Tom Stroud ??

[04/18/21]   Life certainly comes with changes.... and those changes produce challenges.
I’ve often said that “ If we be not challenged- we be not changed.”
Change and Challenge go hand in hand.
Through these changing, challenging times.... Jesus offers words of
Comfort
Challenge
and Commitment.

Join us this morning at the Omega Church at 10:30 or at The Old Cross Road at 6:00 pm as we look at this empowering message from John 14:1-14.
Hope to see you there. 🙂

Easter Egg Hunt!

[04/02/21]   This week has been bitter sweet. Losing Mama Julie was tough.... actually it comes in waves still.
But spending this time with my Dad has been great.
There is a friendship between us that is awesome. It’s a strong bond that can’t be broken. There have been times in our lives that we have laughed and really enjoyed ourselves. And as I reflect on our friendship ... I realize that there have been times that we’ve hurt and cried together too.
Although it was a sad week- the relationship that Dad and I have has been very comforting and healing. And that brings a joy in the midst of this sadness.

It made me think of this Holy Week.
On Palm Sunday there was rejoicing- praising- and celebrating. It was a great day full of joy and happiness as prophesy was fulfilled.
A short week later their joy turned to sadness as the one they were celebrating was crucified. Good Friday the day Jesus was crucified.

It made me think of life as we know it.
Some days are full of joy- other days are full of sadness.
The difference is night and day. But come Sunday.... their sadness was turned to joy again when Jesus rose from the dead.

I used to really believe that not every tunnel has a light at its end- I used to really believe that not every dark cloud has a silver lining. I used to believe that sometimes life is just a dark cloud or a dark tunnel and the only thing you can do is just fight your way out until you get through.

I have learned and know for a certainty that our lives are in the hands of a loving - living Savior. He’s faithful to us.

Through the joy and pain in life- he is there. Fulfilling his promises, and keeping his word to us. He is faithful.
He told his disciples that it was expedient for them ( for us ) that he was crucified because if he wouldn’t have died.... we would never have been saved... and we wouldn’t have the Holy Ghost.

Because he arose.... ( through the Holy Ghost )he is able to be with us throughout all of life’s ups and downs... the joy’s and sadnesses.

I have come to know and believe that Jesus IS the light in a dark tunnel. He IS the silver lining in a dark cloud.

He gives life and gives it more abundantly.

So as we celebrate Easter this year. Look around at your family and friends. Think about how much Jesus loves you and about the length he went to in order to secure the relationship he has with you.

Take some time today to thank him for salvation. And celebrate the pure joy of this holiday that we celebrate.
God bless you all.

[03/07/21]   I was told recently in a private message that I am a relic and that my ministry and preaching was irrelevant for today’s time and needs.🤷🏼‍♂️

My answer: I am not a relic- I am a remnant.🙂
There is a difference.
Long Live the Gospel!

[03/07/21]   I am totally blessed and awed at what the Lord is doing at Omega Church. The Holy Spirit is welcomed in that place and it is showing!

[03/06/21]   Thinking about a conversation I had with someone late last night on my phone.
It seems to me that we are all in a battle in one form or another. Life certainly has its struggles. But it’s also full of blessings too. I guess what you focus on determines how you are. Focus on the battle and be stressed all the time- or focus on the blessings and be contented.
Here’s what I really came on here to say though.

The battles change up on us a lot. We win one battle and find victory- before you know it there’s a whole new battle to fight. It never ends. That’s because the devil doesn’t want you to focus on the blessings so he’s always in your face with a new battle.

The battles may change- but the strategy for the war never does. Our military men and women have been trained to fight every enemy and every battle in the same way. Their battle plans never change. The battle might change... the geology of each battle might be different. But the battle is just another battle to be fought with the tried and true path to victory.

Our strategy should never change.
You want more victories?
1- focus on the things that bring joy into your life.
2- remember to thank God each day for blessing you.
3- don’t just fill your mind with news and gossip but read the Bible.... listen to a message .... and do your best to apply what you read and hear.
4- be a friend to someone
5- seek to help and heal another person.
6- realize when you see another person as they are struggling that it has been you before and in the blink of your eye it could be you again.
7- and no matter what.... if you lose the battle today get up and win tomorrow.

Paul said...
2 Timothy 4:7 KJV
[7] I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith:

Be victorious friends. Never stop fighting. Never give up.
Battles are hard... but life is great.
My prayers are with all of you today. Embrace the day and be blessed.
God bless you all.

[02/06/21]   I am starting to get calls - asking if we are cancelling services for tomorrow at the Omega Church and The Old Cross Road Church die to the forecasted extreme cold temps.
At this point we are planning to have services.
It’s kind of premature to make such a call on Saturday afternoon. As always- if we decide to close a service you will be notified through the designated channels with plenty of notice.
God bless you all.

[01/31/21]   With the heavy snow and big drifts from the storm last night... and more snow predicted to fall through out the day today....
The Morning service at Omega Church has been canceled.
We are also canceling services for this evening at The Old Cross Road Baptist Church as well.
Stay in... stay warm... stay safe.
I will do a live broadcast at 10:30 this morning.
We’ll see y’all next week.
God bless you all.
