“Few things are more frustrating than driving with a passenger who refuses to stay on their side. “Slow down!” “Watch out!” “You drive like an old lady!” My response is normally, "Do you want to drive?!?” As a teen, I knew the queen of driving from the passenger side—my mother. And although it was frustrating, she had good reason to keep a hawk’s eye on my steering. I had just gotten my license and had already been in two accidents! I might have thought I was “the man” on the road, but I wasn’t. Though I found my mother’s constant lack of trust in my ability to keep her safe disrespectful, I really had no basis to demand her confidence. I hadn’t proven myself trustworthy.
This is not so with God.
If God were driving, not only would it be unnecessary to doubt His ability to keep you safe, but it would be offensive to think He'd do anything otherwise! Who are you to worry about your safety when the one who is driving is flawless? Greater is His presence with us than anything that could harm us. He is so strong that He can use harm itself for our good.
One of the most powerful displays of this is the attitude of David towards Goliath. David clearly recognized that Goliath was not worthy of his fear. While all of Israel had begun to see Goliath like a god, David knew that his height didn't make him any more than a man —one that bleeds and dies like everyone else. It only made sense for David to look at Goliath like "Who is this dwarf of a man that defies the armies of the living God?" God wants that kind of confidence from us. Though circumstances may be too hard for us, they are never too hard for God! But when we forget the strength of God, in the face of our problems, our problems become gods and God (in our minds) is reduced to the weakness of mere men. No wonder we don't call on Him. We doubt He can help!
But He can. He who comforts us will always take care of us. Remember Him today! He who creates worlds. He who deserves our trust.”
Isaiah 51:12-13 NLT
“I, yes I, am the one who comforts you. So why are you afraid of mere humans, who wither like the grass and disappear? Yet you have forgotten the Lord, your Creator, the one who stretched out the sky like a canopy and laid the foundations of the earth. Will you remain in constant dread of human oppressors? Will you continue to fear the anger of your enemies? Where is their fury and anger now? It is gone!”
I Will Never Disappoint You
Let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.
You live in a world that is constantly changing. Nothing—and no one—ever stays the same. The weather changes, you grow taller, your friendships change, your relationship with your parents changes, people move away, interests change . . . and on and on.
Not only does this world change, but it is a world filled with sin. The people around you are going to make mistakes. Your feelings will get hurt. You are going to mess up. If you count on this world—or the people in it—to make you happy and give you peace, sooner or later you will be disappointed.
True, never-ending Peace can come only from Me. Ask Me to fill your heart with My Love and Peace. I will never disappoint you.

Don’t Worship Your Worries
He is safe because he trusts the Lord.
—Psalm 112:7 ICB
Worship your worries? That sounds crazy, doesn’t it? But whatever you think about the most becomes your god, your idol, the thing you worship. When your worries take on a life of their own and take over your thoughts, you are worshiping your worries.
I want you to break free from your worries. How? By trusting Me. By thinking about Me. By worshiping only Me. No one else knows what goes on inside your mind—not your friends, not your teachers, not even your parents. But I know your every thought, so be careful concerning what you choose to think about. I am constantly searching your thoughts for a sign of your trust in Me. When I find that your thoughts are about Me, I rejoice! Choose to think about Me more and more; this will keep you close to Me.
Psalm 139:23–24 nasb

Revive Our Hearts
God-with-us is our good, our confidence, our peace, our salvation. We may not be able to slow life down to a snail’s pace; we may not be able to circumvent exhaustion or avoid pain—but we absolutely can keep a quiet heart when we live in keen awareness of God’s presence.
Let me give you an example of how I’m learning to do this on a daily basis.
I typically wake in the morning with my mind racing through all the messages I haven’t returned, the work deadlines ahead, the places we need to be today, the people we’ll be connecting with. Then there’s the inevitable, Do I have snacks for my son’s school event? What gift am I going to take to the shower? Did I fill out the paperwork for my next doctor’s appointment?
Just as my stomach begins to tie itself into a nice little knot, I stop and remind myself that God is with me. I say to Him, “God, thank You for being with me and giving me everything I need in order to do what YOU want me to do today.”
Then I thank Him for a few simple things: the time with sweet friends yesterday, my husband’s amazing forgiveness, the anticipation of my morning cup of coffee.
Finally, I bring a Scripture to mind. This isn’t the deeper Bible study I’ll get to later today, but it’s still meaningful truth that directs my heart to God.
And now? Now I can sense Him with me and the weight of today no longer rests on my shoulders—it’s on His, where it belongs. Inevitably, I’ll need to revisit this practice (prayer, gratitude, truth) many times throughout my day. But that in itself is a beautiful thing, is it not? We never stop needing Him. And the more we go to Him, the greater our peace and joy will be.

When we stand before the Throne, we are granted divine clarity over who we are and what we were created to do.
We are sons and daughters & we were created to love and be loved by our Father.

Step into this day with your head held high, chin up, and shoulders back. You are a child of God! His Word says that we are a chosen people, a royal priesthood, a holy nation, God's special possession — that we may DECLARE the praises of Him who called us out of darkness into His wonderful light. (1 Peter 2:9)

We are quick to tell God about our mountains, and we should be. But have you ever thought to tell your mountains about your God?
“Jesus said deny yourself, pick up your cross, and follow HIM. Him.
You don't need to sing like that sister.
You don't need to pray like that brother.
You don't need to write like her.
You don't need to worship like him.
You don't need to speak like that pastor.
You don't need to shout like that minister.
He made you YOU.
Talented in your own right.
And created to worship and be like HIM.
Doesn't matter what everyone else is doing you just keep being holy for He is holy. You keep walking upright and unwaveringly. You keep living righteously and trusting Him at His Word. You keep studying to show yourself approved. You keep having faith that pleases Him. You keep being perfected in His love. You keep delightfully meditating on His Word day and night and entering into His presence with thanksgiving. You keep forsaking sin. You keep going to God in repentance when you stumble. You keep boldly teaching the gospel and walking in love and in spirit and in truth. Being an ambassador of Christ and working out your own salvation with fear/reverence and trembling.
And there is nothing wrong with being inspired by others, but make sure it is the Lord that is staying on the throne of your life. The apple of your eye. That the Word of God is your mirror. The Bible says in 2 Corinthians, "Not that we dare to classify or compare ourselves with some of those who are commending themselves. But when they measure themselves by one another and compare themselves with one another, they are without understanding."
Friend, we aren't called to be like other Christians; we are called to be like Christ.”

“Yahweh is so easy to love.
He is constantly pursuing us. He is relentless in passion. He is overflowing in peace and joy. He has set us as the object of His affection. We are so grateful for a God that gives us never-ending reasons to love Him back!”

“Church is not an event, a place, or an organization; it is a family on mission together.”
- Neil Cole
“Yahweh knew from the moment He made us that we would only come if we were invited. His sacrifice, His love, His Word, and His grace are all prime examples of that invitation!
However, there is a lie that many believe, and it’s that the Father is indifferent about your coming. Friends, take it from us, He is passionate about your coming - He is waiting for you! Draw near! Don’t wait! “
