"Look to the Cross"
March 22, 2020

For today! Feel free to ask questions as well.

[03/21/20]   There will be a Live Q&A at 1PM this afternoon, March 21 2020.

[03/21/20]   In light of recommendations from President Trump, the CDC, the Missouri Baptist Convention, and anticipating a request from the Governor's Office to limit groups to 10 or less, church services for tomorrow March 22, 2020 are canceled. We will re-evaluate the evolving situation to determine the future of our regular services beyond that time. Obviously, this is not an easy decision to make, and it comes after many conversations with leaders in our church and with other pastors in our area and beyond.

This decision is based on scripture, Romans 13:1 "Let every person be subject to the governing authorities. For there is no authority except from God, and those that exist have been instituted by God." As well as Matthew 22:36-38, "Teacher, which is the great commandment in the Law? And he said to him, You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. This is the great and first commandment. And a second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself."

We are not being asked by the Governor's office, Federal Government or CDC not to preach the Gospel or deny our Faith. In fact, religious gatherings have been given an exemption to meet in groups larger than 10 at this time. We’ve been asked to consider the health of our congregations and our communities first and foremost. It is for this reason that we will suspend tomorrow’s service.

It is important to remember we are more than a gathering, we are the Body of Christ. A Body that transcends a space, especially at a time like the present. And the Church has a resource in Prayer that can and will Glorify God at this time. “You are the light of the world. A city set on a hill cannot be hidden. Nor do people light a lamp and put it under a basket, but on a stand, and it gives light to all in the house. In the same way, let your light shine before others, so that they may see your good works and give glory to your Father who is in heaven.” Matthew 5:14-16

We believe wholeheartedly that God is in control. Take this time to draw closer to God through prayer and Bible Study. This is not a time of fear but faith.

Services tomorrow will be Live Streamed on the churches page at 11:00 AM.

[03/15/20]   Watch us here at 10:45 this morning!
