What an honor to receive this review from one of my favorite authors, Susan Peek. "It's a sign of the godless times we live in when Catholic authors feel compelled to write novels about abortion in order to reach teens with the dual message of God's infinite mercy and the sacredness of life. The widespread tragedy of unwed pregnancies and the selfishness and misinformation that urges young mothers to kill their own babies are certainly not the things that Catholics in bygone eras would choose to write about in a novel, especially one intended to be read by teens. But we no longer live in those times and authors like T.M. Gaouette are to be lauded for using their talents to deliver such an urgent message to Christian youth. Bad choices can have dire consequences, and pre-martial sex, so common these days, is not a joke. The Blessed Virgin Mary warned that the time would come when there would be almost no virgins left upon earth. Surely those times are upon us and Catholics can't bury their heads in the sand and ignore what is happening to, yes, in some cases even their own kids. Even "good" Catholic teens can fall, for we are weak and the devil is strong. "For Eden's Sake" is a safe way for older teens and new adults to encounter this topic, and the author handles it with delicacy that never crosses the line. Despite the heartbreaking plot line of this novel and the grave message it delivers, the author has written it in such a way that it's incredibly enjoyable to read and difficult to put down. The characters are realistic and relatable, the pacing is swift, with no boring parts, and the plot has enough suspense to keep you turning the pages . . . not to mention a couple surprising twists at the end that I didn't see coming! I read it over the space of a few evenings (admittedly, quite late into the nights), and thoroughly enjoyed it. There were scenes that made me laugh (especially the ones with Isaac's best friend) and plenty of scenes that brought tears to my eyes. Several times the story made me pause to pray. This is a powerful and riveting book that has the potential to do much good! Highly recommended."
At 4 weeks (1st Month): • Your baby's brain and spinal cord have begun to form. • The heart begins to form. • Arm and leg buds appear. • Your baby is now an embryo and one-fifth of an inch long. At 8 weeks (2nd Month): • All major organs and external body structures have begun to form. • Your baby's heart beats with a regular rhythm. • The arms and legs grow longer, and fingers and toes have begun to form. • The sex organs begin to form. • The eyes have moved forward on the face and eyelids have formed. • The umbilical cord is clearly visible. • At the end of 8 weeks, your baby is a fetus and looks more like a human. Your baby is nearly 1 inch long and weighs less than 1/8 of an ounce. At 12 weeks (3rd Month): • The nerves and muscles begin to work together. Your baby can make a fist. • Eyelids close to protect the developing eyes. They will not open again until the 28th week. • Head growth has slowed, and your baby is much longer. Now, at about 3 inches long, your baby weighs almost an ounce. At 16 weeks (4th Month): • The external sex organs show if your baby is a boy or girl. A woman who has an ultrasound in the second trimester or later might be able to find out the baby's sex. • Muscle tissue and bone continue to form, creating a more complete skeleton. • Skin begins to form. You can nearly see through it. • Meconium develops in your baby's intestinal tract. This will be your baby's first bowel movement. • Your baby makes sucking motions with the mouth (sucking reflex). • Your baby reaches a length of about 4 to 5 inches and weighs almost 3 ounces. At 20 weeks (5th Month): • Your baby is more active. You might feel slight fluttering. • Your baby is covered by fine, downy hair called lanugo and a waxy coating called vernix. This protects the forming skin underneath. • Eyebrows, eyelashes, fingernails, and toenails have formed. Your baby can even scratch itself. • Your baby can hear and swallow. • Now halfway through your pregnancy, your baby is about 6 inches long and weighs about 9 ounces. At 24 weeks (6th Month): • Bone marrow begins to make blood cells. • Taste buds form on your baby's tongue. • Footprints and fingerprints have formed. • Real hair begins to grow on your baby's head. • The lungs are formed, but do not work. • The hand and startle reflex develop. • Your baby sleeps and wakes regularly. • If your baby is a boy, his testicles begin to move from the abdomen into the scrotum. If your baby is a girl, her uterus and ovaries are in place, and a lifetime supply of eggs have formed in the ovaries. • Your baby stores fat and has gained quite a bit of weight. Now at about 12 inches long, your baby weighs about 1½ pounds. At 32 weeks (7th Month): • Your baby's bones are fully formed, but still soft. • Your baby's kicks and jabs are forceful. • The eyes can open and close and sense changes in light. • Lungs are not fully formed, but practice "breathing" movements occur. • Your baby's body begins to store vital minerals, such as iron and calcium. • Lanugo begins to fall off. • Your baby is gaining weight quickly, about one-half pound a week. Now, your baby is about 15 to 17 inches long and weighs about 3 to 3 3⁄4 pounds At 36 weeks (8th Month): • The protective waxy coating called vernix gets thicker. • Body fat increases. Your baby is getting bigger and bigger and has less space to move around. Movements are less forceful, but you will feel stretches and wiggles. • Your baby is about 16 to 19 inches long and weighs about 6 to 6½ pounds. Weeks 37-40 (up to delivery): • By the end of 37 weeks, your baby is considered full term. Your baby's organs are ready to function on their own. • As you near your due date, your baby may turn into a head-down position for birth. Most babies "present" head down. • At birth, your baby may weigh somewhere between 6 pounds 2 ounces and 9 pounds 2 ounces and be 19 to 21 inches long. Most full-term babies fall within these ranges. But healthy babies come in many different sizes.
Will the long-expired proposed 1972 Equal Rights Amendment end up as the U.S. Constitution's 28th Amendment?
Hi, After watching the incomprehensible celebrations of death, that took place in the halls of our government this past year, I was moved to write this song/video. Hoping this may nudge someone in the direction of life. Please feel free to share this with any you think would benefit. So, we’re spending billions on searching for life in the cosmos. Money well spent, I think. We’ll be appropriately excited if we find a microbe, living or dead. But, if we found anything resembling THIS we would know we had experienced a miracle of discovery. For all purposes, practical or otherwise, this is the true definition, the picture, the crux of the kind of life we’re really looking for. THIS! is the freakin wonder of the universe! Small wonder that it’s the way that the living god revealed himself to all of the other life in the universe 😉
TELL THEM ABOUT Norma roe vs wade. TRUTH WILL SET YOU THEM FREE. THE BIGGEST MISTAKE OF HER LIFE WAS legalizing abortion! Norma Leah Nelson McCorvey also changed her sexual orientation from gay to straight .. HER CONVERSION TO CHRIST WAS THE KEY (September 22, 1947 – February 18, 2017), better known by the legal pseudonym "Jane Roe", was the plaintiff in the landmark American lawsuit Roe v. Wade in 1973.[2] The U.S. Supreme Court ruled that individual state laws banning abortion are unconstitutional. Later, McCorvey's views on abortion changed substantially; she became a Roman Catholic activist in the pro-life movement.[3] McCorvey stated that her involvement in Roe was "the biggest mistake of [her] life."[4]At a signing of I Am Roe, McCorvey was befriended by evangelical minister and National Director of Operation Rescue Flip Benham[24] and later baptized on August 8, 1995, by Benham, in a Dallas, Texas, backyard swimming pool, an event that was filmed for national television. Two days later she announced that she had quit her job at the abortion clinic she was working at and had become an advocate of Operation Rescue's campaign to make abortion illegal.[25] McCorvey's second book, Won by Love, was published in 1998. She explained her change on the stance of abortion with the following comments: I was sitting in O.R.'s offices when I noticed a fetal development poster. The progression was so obvious, the eyes were so sweet. It hurt my heart, just looking at them. I ran outside and finally, it dawned on me. 'Norma', I said to myself, 'They're right'. I had worked with pregnant women for years. I had been through three pregnancies and deliveries myself. I should have known. Yet something in that poster made me lose my breath. I kept seeing the picture of that tiny, 10-week-old embryo, and I said to myself, that's a baby! It's as if blinders just fell off my eyes and I suddenly understood the truth—that's a baby! I felt crushed under the truth of this realization. I had to face up to the awful reality. Abortion wasn't about 'products of conception'. It wasn't about 'missed periods'. It was about children being killed in their mother's wombs. All those years I was wrong. Signing that affidavit, I was wrong. Working in an abortion clinic, I was wrong. No more of this first trimester, second trimester, third trimester stuff. Abortion—at any point—was wrong. It was so clear. Painfully clear.[3] Shortly thereafter, McCorvey released a statement that affirmed her reception into the Catholic Church, and she was Confirmed as a full member.[26][not in citation given][27] Later in life, McCorvey stated that she was no longer a lesbian.[28] On August 17, 1998, she was received into the Roman Catholic church by Father Frank Pavone, the International Director of Priests for Life and Father Edward Robinson in Dallas.

BREAKING NEWS: Although abortion providers in Texas were granted a Temporary Restraining Order yesterday, allowing them to continue to provide abortions against Gov. Greg Abbott's executive order, the 5th Circuit Court of appeals has just halted that TRO and upheld Gov. Abbott's executive order, stopping unnecessary medical procedures in Texas, which includes abortion. For now, elective abortions should not be happening in Texas.
