"As a national holiday, Juneteenth, immersed as it is in both the canon of old history and the ongoing struggle for civil rights, would be the only one that celebrates liberty in America as it actually is: delayed.
The enslaved people who experienced the rapture of emancipation on this day 152 years ago likely couldn’t have predicted the exact path the country has taken since. But they knew in the marrow of their bones and the scars on their backs that their victory had come at the greatest possible cost. They knew the impossible ardor that would be required to pick up the pieces of their broken families and leave their descendants with a better life, and they continued to celebrate Juneteenth even as it became clear that America would not so easily yield them its embrace. Their hearts rejoiced in victory, with a joy that could not be stolen."

We should never forget or be ashamed of our struggle, for it is the driving force behind our quest for equality in the pursuit of happiness and it's a long way from over. I love you and I'm keeping my hope alive! Grace and peace!

Happy Resurrection Day!
Today we celebrate a glorious day in the history of humanity. On this day, about 2,000 years ago, the man Jesus rose from the dead with all the power of Heaven and earth in His hand! God kept His word and raised Him (Jesus) from the dead. Whether you believe that or not is absolutely your choice. But let the record show, the tomb they laid Him in after taking Him off the cross was empty upon their return, on this day about 2,000 years ago... He had RISEN just as He said (Luke 24:6-8). Praise God!
Good morning! What a day this was over 2,000 years ago. Jesus of Nazareth had been beaten all night long, beyond recognition and then early in the morning forced to carry a huge stake, a cross according to tradition, to the top of a hill named Golgotha, the place of the skull (aka Calvary) and there he was crucified (nailed feet and hands) to the stake he carried up.
About this time over 2,000 years ago this man Jesus was hanging on that stake (Cross), situated between two criminals (a murderer and a theif), to pay the price for not only their offenses, but also for the offense of humanity, perpetually. Jesus ransomed us from the curse of sin; sickness, poverty and spiritual death. When He died, they confessed, "Truly this was the Son of God (Matthew 27:54)." Jesus saved us!
Today and every day, I thank Him for what He did way back then and I responded to His great display of love, by openly accepting His sacrifice as a gift of salvation and making Him Lord over my life. I am saved!
Beloved, the opportunity for accepting salvation as a personal gift is still available to anyone who desires to make Jesus the Lord over their life, free from the bondage of sin. Jesus' blood is still applied and He still saves. Salvation is readily available simply for the asking. Come to Jesus!
Have a safe and amazing day! For today, is the day of reckoning! The Blood of Jesus paid for it ALL! I love you❤! Grace and peace!

Mark Your Calendars and Plan Your Trip to Raleigh-Durham, N.C. for the 8th Annual Complete Woman/Whole Man Experience 2020!!! Event Information Coming Soon! I'll See You At The Gathering!!!
Good morning and Happy Friday!! You know me, it's a long post, but everything had to be said.
There is an old saying, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade." Meaning, take what was meant to cause you to squint and squirm and make it palatable and enjoyable. Nothing like a fresh glass of lemonade, but I digress. I would say, the dilemma we are now facing (self-quarantine) presents us with an opportunity for turning lemons into lemonade. We have been directed to stay home socially and practically, as well as, give attention to better hygiene practices (specifically in the public) and health care. While many complain about these lemons, I'd like to help you make some lemonade, if you don't mind.
Staying home affords us an opportunity to reacquaint ourselves with our families (including the church folk and pastors). Have some fun with your spouse, kids and puppies. If you live alone as I do, spend the time calling others you know live alone to visit with them or tackle that project you never had time to get to. And as a Believer, if not going to church will affect your spirituality, you have a much greater problem than not getting to the church house, because according to Jesus, the church is in you... Yes, the Word of God encourages us to gather together, but know this, it does not command us to do so, as many would teach. If that were so, the "church" would have been in direct violation of God's commandment for about 200 years. The church was held in small groups, in individual homes during that time period. Now is an opportunity to spend more time in fellowship with the Lord by reading the Bible and praying.
This self-quarantine predicament can and will teach us better survival skills, if in the event (God forbid) there comes a need to be closed in because of impending danger from war or invasion. Take this time to put an emergency plan together and strategies for survival with your family... We live in a world that lacks patience and discipline, let this event be a prompter to show our need to develop or re-develop these qualities.
And finally, lets not lose sight of the need to be humane in the midst of calamity, we have to live here in planet earth together and there is a great need for us to be more considerate and loving towards each other. We must value life and more importantly, we must do what it takes to sustain life, everyone's life. The life of others needs to become important to all of us again.
In closing, let me submit! In the words of a very old song, "No man is an island, no man stands alone... So I will defend, each man as my brother, each man as my friend!" We need each other and we need to care about each other. Don't let this pandemic divide us even more, let's sweeten the situation by using what we have available to us to unify ourselves! Please don't miss this great opportunity to become a better society! Thanks for indulging a Sista!😍 I love you! Grace and peace!
Happy New Year from our hearts to yours! May you always be in faith!
Our Value was Precious to God and He considered us Worth His Son-we are somebody to Him! Praise the Lord for the new born King, Jesus Christ. Merry Christmas from the CWE/WME!
The Feeding of the Five Thousand
"When the apostles returned, they told Jesus everything they had done. Then he took them with him and they withdrew privately to a town called Bethsaida. But when the crowds found out, they followed him. He welcomed them, spoke to them about the kingdom of God, and cured those who needed healing. Now the day began to draw to a close, so the twelve came and said to Jesus, “Send the crowd away, so they can go into the surrounding villages and countryside and find lodging and food, because we are in an isolated place.” But he said to them, “You give them something to eat.” They replied, “We have no more than five loaves and two fish—unless we go and buy food for all these people.” (Now about five thousand men were there.) Then he said to his disciples, “Have them sit down in groups of about fifty each.” So they did as Jesus directed, and the people all sat down.
Then he took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven he gave thanks and broke them. He gave them to the disciples to set before the crowd. They all ate and were satisfied, and what was left over was picked up—twelve baskets of broken pieces." ~Luke 9:10-17 New English Translation (NET Bible)"
Notice! Jesus didn't feed the 5,000 plus hungry crowd, the disciples did. But they did it by giving what they had to Jesus, He blessed it, broke it and gave it back to them, to meet the needs of the people.
What's the take away, one may ask? First, to every called out one, Jesus expect us to feed the people with the heart of a servant. Second, "what" we have available to us is not as critical as "who" we have available to us-- Jesus! "Who" we have available to us will make the "what" work! Finally, when the Lord says, "feed them" He expects to see that assignment carried out. Give what you have to Him, so He can bless it and break it. A blessed and broken limitation, can become an extraordinary miracle, don't let logic get in the way and stop you... Do the work, feed them! I love you! Peace and grace!
See you at the Gathering!
This!!! The essence, purpose and mission of the Complete Woman Experience... Sisters, blessing Sister!
My sisters, it's time to be there for your sister, it's time to stop uncovering your sister's ignorance and mistakes. Instead, teach her, show her the better with a loving and caring heart. Take and keep you mouth off of her for sport. STOP IT! Instead, bless her and pray for her. It's time to help our sisters to get free and stay free. Say, I love you... Don't bind her, tell her that she is, "Released"!
Every woman and man needs to hear this word! So many of us struggles with insecurities!
[03/29/19] On Wednesday night, March 20, 2019 my husband, Bishop Gerald S. Coney, Sr. crossed over into Glory! We will miss him. He served God with all he knew to do and he served Him without reservation. He was the best husband he knew to be, he was a good father to his daughter and sons and he loved his family. He was a good provider, a hard working man and he had so much wisdom. He's healed now, in the presence of our Lord! And we praise the Lord that he suffers no more. Rest well Gerald, we'll see you later. His Homegoing Service will be held on Friday, April 12th @2p. The location is: Inglewood Cemetery Mortuary 3801 Manchester Blvd., Inglewood, CA 90305
Good morning or afternoon! God is yet, good! Today, I'd like to share my take away from my time with the Lord.
I was thinking of all the FB posts I've read and thought to myself, "Hmmm... why is there so much need for deliverance for those who belong to the Kingdom of God?" I understand from the teachings of Jesus and the Apostle that everything that pertains to life, godliness, and the blessing of good success are available to those who belong to the Kingdom of God and that we have authority over the evil works of the enemy (Matthew 6:33; Luke 10:19; 2 Peter 1:3; Ephesians 1:3; Joshua 1:8). If the Word of God is true, and it is, why are we always seeking deliverance defensively, more than we are declaring victories in battles? Now, stay with me, you know I’m going somewhere with this – the sting will subside in a minute. One might answer, ‘Pat, there is an Adversary in this world, who is seeking “whom he may devour” (1 Peter 5:8), that’s why?’ But check this out! The operative word in this passage is, “may” which suggest, he (the Adversary) will/can or will not/cannot devour… So what, one may ask, is the governing factor in the matter?
Here is what I believe. God’s Word, promises to make us great, give us prosperity and deliver us from evil (Genesis 12:1-3), in that order (go study that out for yourself, it’ll bless you). But somehow the Kingdom has been reduced to more deliverance activity (which is the last part of the promise) than operating in the greatness that we are to be (which is the first part of the promise). One thing that is critical to interpreting Scripture is to notice the order of biblical lists. In this matter, somehow we have reversed the order of the blessing here, from greatness, prosperity and deliverance to deliverance, prosperity then greatness; and I believe it is because we are not following God’s instructions, which is to consider Him and His Word first (Matthew 6:33; Joshua 1:8 respectively).
In the days of old, Kings would not go to war before they inquired of the Lord on how they should go. Moses was criticized for always being in the mountains, talking with God. David always “inquired of the Lord, first…” Jesus continuously went into the mountains to pray, declaring that He only did and said what He heard the Father say and saw the Father do (John 5:19, 8:26-30); these men were always victorious. Their quests for success and victory came as a result of their offensive strategies (given to them by the Lord) and the Lord delivered them from various predicaments because He watched over His Word (plans) to do them (Jeremiah 1:12) through His obedient servants; as they went forth to do His Will, by faith.
That’s my point and our take away! We must be mindful to seek God’s plan first; instead of always coming to Him after we’ve done our thing or desire – only to find ourselves in a dreadful predicament and now need deliverance, defensively. Please don’t misunderstand me, I am grateful for God’s power and willingness to deliver us defensively and I encourage you to be grateful for it also, for it pleases the Lord to do such for us – and frankly, we’d be doomed without it. However, an offensive deliverance is a far greater testimony for it signifies willful obedience and humility. Beloved, at some point every Believer should mature to the place where getting bailed out of his or her dilemmas, as a defensive measure is no longer common place. But that he or she seeks God's plan first; to go forth in the Will of God and if deliverance becomes necessary, it comes as an offensive measure.
God’s plans for us, comes to us blessed and He promises throughout Scripture; “to be with us”, “to go before us”, “has delivered (past tense) and will (present and future tense) deliver the enemy into our hands and give us the victory” and so forth... Imagine fighting back, knowing the victory is yours because you are in/doing the Lord’s Will? The blessing is, His very presence is with us – manifesting Itself in divine favor (The victorious power of Holy Ghost, readily at hand)! Good God Almighty, how powerful is that?!
The Scriptures declare; “There is a way that seems right to a man, But its end is the way of death/destruction (Proverbs 14:12, 16:25 NKJV)” And an even greater consideration is; “In the way of righteousness is life, And in its pathway there is no death/destruction (Proverbs 12:28 NKJV).”
It's a great day for success Beloved! Go to the Lord first and then go forth, for Him! I love you! Peace and grace!
A Controlled, Consuming Fire
I’m a “country girl”. We lived with my grandfather and grandmother, Mr. R.C. and Mrs. Jessie McDaniel on a farm in a little rural town called Haughton, about 30 minutes outside of Shreveport, La. I often reminisce about my time on my grandparents farm and this morning I thought of a time my grandfather, Mr. Koot (many called him), wanted to clear away a greenbelt (undeveloped, wild, or agricultural pieces of land) that had become too massive for him to accomplish the task with the tools he used to maintain the lawn and cultivated fields on the other parts of the property.
Well, this particular day I was out in the yard just playing around and I noticed smoke coming from the greenbelt, then I saw flames of fire. Frantically, I ran into the house to tell my grandmother about the apparent fire and she casually said, “Paw Paw is clearing the land over there…” Stay with me now, I’m going somewhere with this.
You see, farmers had a practice of clearing away greenbelts with what is called a “controlled fire”. Foresters, farmers and firefighters use controlled fires to manage various natural elements and predicaments. But I digress. You see my grandfather, wanted to make this piece of land “useful” so he intentionally set a fire with boundaries and limitations built into the process that would safeguard the areas he wanted untouched and that the fire would only burn away what needed to be eliminated. Jesus!
For the sake of time I’ll fast-forward: the Bible refers to God as a “consuming fire” (Deuteronomy 4:24, 9:3; Hebrews 12:29) – one of the symbols we use for the Holy Ghost, the 3rd person of the Godhead is “fire” (Matthew 3:11; Luke 3:16; Acts 2:1-4). Peter speaks of a faith that is tried with fire is more precious than gold… (1 Peter 1:7). There are many references to fire in the Bible and it could take all day for me to develop an exhaustive list. But my point is, fire is a viable force that is oftentimes used to bring about the better, or the “right!”
Therefore, may I submit that there are times in our lives when the hard places seem too “hot” to handle and we want to run and sound the alarm – there is fire! But as I meditated on this, I remembered that Scripture teaches, Jesus was “led” into the wilderness by the Holy Spirit, watch this, “TO BE tempted of the devil…” (Luke 4:1-13). The Lord did not deliver the 3 Hebrew boys: Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego (which was their pagan names and for another teaching) being thrown into the “fiery” furnace, which out of spite and fury, had been turned up 7 times hotter. No they went into the furnace honoring God and God alone (Daniel 3:1-27). The Bible declares that upon 3 occasions, the Apostle Paul sought the Lord’s help for deliverance from a painful matter and the Lord’s reply was that Paul would endure the pounding and the abuse… (2 Corinthians 12:79). Notwithstanding, God’s assurance to the Apostle Paul, the 3 Hebrews boys and Jesus was that He was with them and “controlling” the effects of the fierce elements and dynamics of the predicament with specific boundaries and limitations. Glory to God!
Now what I am about to say next is not popular amongst many faith teachers, but I have been on this Christian journey most of my life and I’ve learned a few precious things. Like the Apostle Paul I declare, “I bear in my body the marks of Jesus” and I have come to “know” this to be true; I have a lot of bumps, bruises and disappointments to support my convictions. Beloved, Scripture reveals that sometimes it IS God’s will that WE GO THROUGH, TO COME THROUGH! All of the letters to the Churches found in the New Testament writings of the Bible are about encouragement to endure persecution, hardship and contention. Jesus said, “…the gates of Hell would not “prevail” against His Church (Matthew 16:18). Notice what He did not say, he did not say they wouldn’t “come” against His Church. The prophet Isaiah never declared that weapons wouldn’t be “formed” against God’s people, he said that it would not “prosper” (Isaiah 44:17) – huge difference there. But be encouraged my Friends knowing this; if you are in it, you can take it! The truth is, some things have to be purged out of us or cleared away by a “consuming fire” in order that God may bring about or bring us to, the “better or right” place for His use and for His Glory (2 Corinthians 4:6-18)! But here is the take away, the consuming fire is a “controlled fire” with specific boundaries and limitations integrated within the process!” God is in control! So there is no need to be alarmed or to panic. In the midst of the flames, trust the Lord!
In closing, Pastor James (as a dear Matriarch friend of mine would call him) teaches us in the 1st chapter of his writings (The Book of James); when, not if, but when we come into different types of testings and trials, we should consider it a joyous thing! Note that it is not the test or trial that we rejoice over; it is the “reason” for the test that we should rejoice. For it signifies that we are being perfected for a purpose (v. 3-4) – even if the trial comes because of unconfessed sin, the Lord yet desires to shine in and through us – He must purge us of the sin first, that His glory may find a place in us and be revealed! This, Beloved is of His perfect and perfecting will (James 1:12-18) Praise God! Glory is coming, after the consuming fire is finished. And that my Friend is honorable and praiseworthy! Count it all joy! Hallelujah!
So, when you come to your hard places and you will. Do what the Pastor teaches us, seek God’s wisdom on how to manage the situation and stand firm in what He reveals (James 1:2-8).
"Dear brothers and sisters, when troubles of any kind come your way, consider it an opportunity for great joy. For you know that when your faith is tested, your endurance has a chance to grow. So let it grow, for when your endurance is fully developed, you will be perfect and complete, needing nothing. If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind. Such people should not expect to receive anything from the Lord. Their loyalty is divided between God and the world, and they are unstable in everything they do." James 2:2-8 NLT (New Living Translation)
