Circle the foods below that are better with salt:
Saltine crackers French fries
Fruit Salad Hamburger
Chocolat Chip Ice Cream Pizza Chips Pretzels Popcorn
Have you ever eaten a pretzel or a tortilla chip without salt? Without that salt, it’s not nearly as tasty. As followers of Jesus, we are to act like that salt, making the world around a much better, friendlier, more loving place to live. When we love others like Jesus loves us, when we’re honest and trustworthy, we spread spiritual salt all around.
Jesus also warns that we can lose that saltiness. That’s why it’s so important to stay onnected to Jesus by reading His words in the Bible, going to church to learn more about Him and spending time talking to Him in prayer. We were made so hat we could tell others about Jesus and be “salt” to make a difference in the world around us! God created you to share His story
Lesson 4 of our Creation Unit: Sun, Moon, Stars.
Read Proverbs 19:21
Have you ever made a plan that didn’t go the wayyou thought it would? Maybe you planned to go to the pool on your last day of summer break, only to wake up to rain outside the window. Maybe you planned to play with your best friend but he’s sick.
Plans aren’t bad. In fact, it’s good to have a plan so you can get more done. But when it comes to your future, we shouldn’t hold on to our own ideas so tightly. Because God made you for a purpose. As you grow, you’ll discover God’s big purpose for you. That’s why it’s so important to trust God and walk with Him day by day. He made you and He has BIG things in store.
As you pray tonight before going to sleep, spend some time thanking God for the day that’s passed. As you think about tomorrow, open your palm out flat (instead of a closed-up fist) and say, “God I know you have a plan for me. I don’t want to miss it. Thanks for loving me and creating me with a purpose. In Jesus’ name, amen.”
Genesis Chapter 1. Story of Creation for children. This is day 3. Land and plants.
Read Ephesians 2:10
What’s your favorite animal? Write it in the space below:
What do you know about your favorite animal? What kind of habitat or climate does it live in?
What does it eat? Ask an adult to help you do a little research to answer these questions.
Did you know that of all the amazingly creatures God made, you to stand out above the rest? And while it might be cool to shoot water from your trunk like an elephant or push through the dirt like an earthworm, you are more important to God than any animal, even your favorite one.
Why? Because God created and made a way for us to have a relationship with Him, forever!
When we put our trust in Jesus, we become a part of God’s family. And once we understand that purpose, we can begin to see all the amazing plans God has for each one of us. From eyes that see, to ears that hear, to feet that run, to brains that solve problems, you are one big amazing body of wonder.
Write down three unique parts of you.
As you pray today, thank God for those unique “body parts” and ask Him to help you use them creatively to do good in the world around you.
Children’s Lesson on Creation.
Read Psalm 104:24
Grab a piece of paper and a pencil and have an adult set a timer for two minutes. As the timer runs down, make a list of everything you can think of that God made.
Write the total number of items you listed here: ________________________
You could set a timer for another two minutes and come up with a completely new list of things God created. As our verse tells us, God made all things. There’s no limit to God’s creativity!
Creativity is imagining what you could do because you were made in God’s image. It’s pretty
awesome to think about the fact that the God who created everything on your list also created you. And He loves you more than you could possibly imagine.
Circle five of your favorite things on the list you created. Spend some time in prayer thanking God for those five things!

The Promise of Heaven
BOTTOM LINE: Following Jesus will turn out greater than you can imagine.
Read 2 Peter 3:13
Grab some paper and some crayons or watercolor paints. Spend a few minutes painting or coloring what you think heaven will look like.
God has a made a big promise to us. (And God always keeps His promises.) When we trust Jesus, we can be a part of God’s family forever in a place where nothing bad or sad ever happens! We will live with God in a perfect place and it will be more amazingly awesome then we could ever imagine

Fill in the Blank
BOTTOM LINE: Knowing Jesus changes the way you see your problems.
Read Philippians 4:6-7a
Ask an adult to help you look up and read Philippians 4:6-7a.
In your Bible, circle all the things this verse tells you to do. Then, write them down on a piece of paper or index card to keep by your bed.
When you have a problem, remember:
1. Don’t worry.
2. Tell God about everything.
3. Give thanks.
4. Have peace.
Paul, who wrote these words, faced so many problems as he followed Jesus. But Paul learned that knowing Jesus changes the way you see your problems. Just like Paul, you can have peace even in the middle of a big problem because Jesus is with you.
Ways to Help
BOTTOM LINE: You can help others know Jesus.
Read Mark 16:15
Circle all the ways you help:
~Set the table.
~Put away the laundry.
~Take out the trash.
~Carry the groceries.
~Play with a sibling.
~Clean up your toys.
~Tell others about Jesus.
Did you circle the last one on the list? It’s awesome to know that Jesus loves us. And because He loves us, we should tell other people about His love too. Setting the table and putting away laundry is important, but you can also help by telling others about Jesus.
The BEST Gift of All
BOTTOM LINE: Jesus is a gift for everyone.
Read Ephesians 2:8
What’s the best gift you’ve ever been given? Find a piece of paper and draw your best gift ever.
This week’s verse reminds us that there’s one gift that’s way more awesome than the one you’ve drawn. It’s Jesus! He is the best gift ever because He made a way for us to be a part of God’s family. God loved us so much that He sent Jesus to die on the cross and be raised back to life so that we could be forgiven.
Spend some time thanking God for the good gifts He gives us, especially the best gift ever: Jesus
Hello NorthPointe! We are working extra hard to get ready for you all as we reopen on Sunday June 28th. Please stay tuned to our page for updates on what we are doing to keep you safe as we meet together. Thank you so much for your patience as we serve you! We can't wait to see you!!
BOTTOM LINE: Knowing Jesus changes the way you see others.
Read John 13:34-35
When was the last time you received something new? Write your answer or draw it in the space below.
It’s fun to receive new things, especially when something gets broken or totally worn out. Jesus gave a NEW command to His friends. What was it? (Look back at today’s verse for help.)
YES! Jesus gave a new command or instruction to love one another. Why? Because when we love like Jesus loves, that’s like doing something totally new! Ask Jesus to help you see the people around you the way he does so that you can love like He loves.
BOTTOM LINE: Knowing Jesus can help you face your fears.
Read John 14:27
Write down a few things you’re afraid of in the space below:
Some of these fears are real and some are imaginary. Lots of people are afraid of things like spiders and heights. But there are lots of people who love these things too. Like people who keep spiders as pets or fly in airplanes every day.
It’s okay to name your fears and to talk about them with the adults you trust. But it’s also good to remember that Jesus is bigger and stronger than any fear we might face. Ask God to help you remember that you don’t have to be afraid because Jesus will always help you face your fears.
BOTTOM LINE: Knowing Jesus changes the way you see everything.
Read John 3:16
God loved us so much that He gave us Jesus, His one and only Son. So now let’s talk about the rest of the verse:
“God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son,” (NIrV).
Okay, let’s stop right there. Grab your piece of paper and draw a cross in the bottom left section of the page. Write the words “We believe” underneath the picture.
Jesus chose to die on the cross for all sin (that’s when people make a choice to do what they want instead of what God wants) so that everyone who believes in Him can be forgiven. Jesus died for everyone. And He died for you.
Ask God to help you understand that Jesus died and rose again so that you could believe and have a relationship with Him forever!
BOTTOM LINE: You can know Jesus even though you’ve never seen Him.
Read Hebrews 11:1
What are some things you know about Jesus?
Write your answers in the space below.
God sent Jesus, His only Son, to earth. Why? So that we could know Him. Jesus is called Emmanuel, God with us! He left heaven to come to earth so that we could know God. And He died on a cross and was raised back to life so that we could have a relationship with God forever. You can put all your trust and hope and faith in Him, always.
Thank God for sending Jesus so that you could know Him.
