Yesu Ahuriire Community

Yesu Ahuriire Community, is a Covenant Community of Catholic faithful born within the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in Mbarara Archdiocese WHO WE ARE Yesu Ahuriire Catholic Covenant Community, [hereafter called Ahuriire Community] is a Community of Catholic faithful born within the Catholic Charismatic Renewal in the Archdiocese of Mbarara under the authority of its Local Ordinary, and committed to New Evangelization and salvation of humanity.

RELATIONSHIP THROUGHOUT THE WORLD Yesu Ahuriire Community is in relationship with other Catholic Charismatic Communities and Fellowships throughout the world. Ahuriire Community is an associate member of the Association Catholic Charismatic Covenant Communities of Eastern Africa (ACCCCEA). Since the official visitation of the President of Catholic Fraternity, in 2008 Ahuriire Community applied for membership to the Catholic Fraternity of Charismatic Covenant Communities and Fellowships (which is a Private Association of Christ’s Faithful with Pontifical Rights); and in 2009 was accepted as associate member community. MEMBERSHIP Its membership may consist of laymen and laywomen, both married and single; priests, permanent deacons and religious. PURPOSE OF YESU AHURIIRE COMMUNITY The purpose of Ahuriire Community is to serve the Church in her mission of renewal; using effective, creative, modern methods of education and communication with a multiplier effect for the local and the Universal Catholic Church, bringing about a transformation in the whole society.

Yesu Ahuriire Community is a spiritual renewal center under the Catholic Charismatic Renewal of Uganda. It is located 8miles from Mbarara Town along the Mbarara – Kabale highway Yesu Ahuriire teaches people how to live in the community as one family and society at large. - Rom. 6:4-5; Mt. 5: 13-14

Mission: MISSION AND VISION STATEMENTS OUR MISSION STATEMENT. Called to embrace, live and proclaim the truth that ‘Jesus is alive’ (‘Yesu Ahuriire’) both in the Church and the World. OUR VISION STATEMENT To be at the forefront in the Mission of New Evangelization using effective, creative, and modern methods of education and communication for the local and the Universal Church. OUR STRATEGIES To live together as a Community in order to grow spiritually as individual and numerically as Community. To develop different ministries, form, and equip leaders for New Evangelization. To establish self-sustaining projects for long-term financial stability. To reach out and serve all people with love and compassion. To establish an Information & Communication Technology (I.C.T) Centre that will equip evangelizers with modern methods of communication. To give knowledge and skills through training humanities and scientific disciplines for intellectual development. To complete the building construction of Yesu Ahuriire Spiritual Renewal Centres. To be providers of the Kerygmatic teaching of the Church for a multiplier effect. OUR GOAL New Evangelisation through ‘Baptism in the Holy Spirit’.
