*OBEY GOD IN GIVING*

"And all these blessings shall come upon you and overtake you, because you obey the voice of the LORD your God'': (Deuteronomy 28:2)

"The LORD will command the blessing on you in your storehouses and in all to which you set your hand, and He will bless you in the land which the LORD your God is giving you.”
(Deuteronomy 28:8)

According to our theme scripture, obedience to God results in blessing. It appears that blessing will chase us and even overtake us when we obey him. Since God’s principles are eternal, they never change.

Passages like these are “button pushers” that God uses as incentives for us.

When I read these passages, they make me want to test them, to see if they will be operative in my own life. God wants us to try them in faith, believing that he will fulfill his promises in response to our obedience.

Our giving is always an act of obedience. We respond to the Holy Spirit’s direction.

There is a world of opportunity out there for giving to the various interests of God. We live in a desperate and dying world, and we as believers are compelled to do something about it.

There are as many ways to do this as there are people in the world. Part of the transformation process for us as believers is that we move from being self-centered to being God-centered.

We must replace the consumption mentality that is so prevalent in our culture to a giving mentality that is often misunderstood.
Hallelujah !

*Depend on the Power of the Cross*

“For the message of the cross is foolishness to those who are perishing, but to us who are being saved it is the power of God.”
(1 Corinthians 1:18)

Understanding the power of the cross is instrumental in our understanding of the life in the kingdom of God. It is by the cross that we are crucified to the world and have new life in Jesus Christ.

Paul boasted about the cross in his own life with regard to his relationship to the world and the passions of the flesh. He was dead to them by the power of the cross. The same can be said of us when we apply the power of the cross to our own lives.

God’s power overcame Jesus’ death on the cross! And it is the power of the cross that gives us new hope and new perspective for living.

Through the power of the cross, we are able to overcome the giants of consumerism and greed. They relentlessly pursue us to keep us from giving to the work of God.

It is the power of the cross that enables us to overcome these giants by the practice of giving our time, talent, and treasure to those endeavors that will advance God’s kingdom.

It is the power of the cross that allows us to develop the practice of giving so that when the opportunity arises, our hearts will be open and ready.

The sinful nature is ever demanding us to only think of the temporal! By the power of the cross we can put to death these demands by focusing and feeding our minds on our eternal rewards.

As we soak our minds on what the Spirit desires, his objectives and desires will grow in us. This growth will cause us to overcome what our flesh desires and enable us to fulfill the desires of the Spirit.

By the power of the cross, we are able to become fully invested in God’s kingdom.

*Guard Your Heart*

“Above all else, guard your heart, for everything you do flows from it.”
(Proverbs 4:23) NIV

Truly, our behavior springs from our hearts! That is why it is critical that we spend time immersed in God’s Word every day. God’s Word will protect our hearts from being consumed with the things of this world. This is the only way we can obtain a perspective which properly balances temporal and eternal concerns in life.

This perspective will impact what we do and do not do in this world. We must soak our hearts in the Word of God! And that takes time. I like to call it “heart time.”

The ways in which we invest in God’s kingdom are truly a reflection of heart time. It determines where we spend our time, talent and treasure.

The more time we spend in God’s Word, the more we realize that the matter of kingdom investing needs to have a high priority in our lives. Heart time influences our desires. Are our minds preoccupied with the desires of the flesh or with the desires of the Holy Spirit?

Juggling the temporal and the eternal can be a tricky endeavor at times. Discernment is needed. Judgment calls have to be made. It is a challenge, but it can be stimulating to see how we can transform time, talent, and treasure into the eternal when we originally were focused primarily on temporal objectives.

When we focus on God’s goals, it is amazing to see how the Spirit of God molds us to be conformed to God’s purposes rather than our own.

Prayer and fasting continues next week and miss not the Sunday services 8am and 10am.

*Renew Your Mind*

“Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will.”
(Romans 12:2) NIV

If we have any hope of expecting to see God operating in our lives, we must make a determination as to which audience, God or man, we are trying to please. The world seeks to gain our attention and allegiance by directing our steps away from God.

In order to be pleasing to God, we need to separate from the world through the transformation of our ideas and thoughts. To be transformed by the power of his Word will enable us to break away from the crowd.

This means we must experience a change in how we think and act, how we perceive the world around us, and how we spend our time. The goals in life that we are pursuing must be in line with God’s will.

If we truly desire to please God, we must be transformed by the renewing of our minds. This can only come about by exposure to the Word of God, allowing it to pe*****te our innermost beings.

We constantly and consistently must be evaluating our motives and goals to make sure our objective is to please God, not man. The old way of living and doing things has passed. It is no longer us who live, but Christ lives in us.

God has created us, in Christ Jesus, to do new works that he has planned for us!
Hallelujah!

Therefore He says: " When He ascended on high, He led captivity captive, And gave gifts to men."
(Ephesians 4:8)

*HE LED CAPTIVITY CAPTIVE.*

He ascended on high after accomplishing the mission he had on earth, now when he ascended on high our theme scripture says He led captivity captive.!

This expresses Christ's conquests and triumph over sin, Satan, the world, death, and the grave; and indeed, every spiritual enemy of his and his people, especially the devil, who leads men captive at his will, and is therefore called captivity, and his principalities and
powers, whom Christ has spoiled and triumphed over;

This same victory over the enemy He gave unto all of us Who have believed Him, therefore by the power and authority we have in him diseases, sicknesses, poverty, Sin can't overcome us, even demons tremble at the power of Him who dwells in us.

Colossians 2:15 says, Having disarmed principalities and powers, He made a public spectacle of them, triumphing over them in it.

He who overcame, He gave spiritual gifts unto us (Ephesians 4:11-13) that we may operate in them according to the measure of grace given unto us for the glorification of His Name as all men come to full stature in Christ Jesus. Hallelujah!

Something is happening all over the WORLD. People are hungry. Creation is hungry for a MOVE of God. The sound of REVIVAL is HERE!!!

How does revival come? Revival isn't initiated by happenstance. The culture of revival must be created, cultivated and BUILT.

On August 22nd to 24th HUNGRY people from all over Uganda are gathering for *the 20th Annual Fire Revival Conference* at *Mbuya Pentecostal Church* led by *Bishop Henry Minani."* We are hosting the presence of the Lord and contending for revival in this generation, as *We charge for Action.*
I'm telling you the heavens are about to BREAK WIDE OPEN!!! We have some MASSIVE gifts coming to push in PROPHECY and PRAYER. The atmosphere will be stirred through prophetic Word from different ministers.

We are going to pray for the sick, cast out devils and if you bring the dead, we will RAISE the DEAD TOO! (My faith is really stirred for it.) *Invite all your friends not to miss this season.*

*Loyalty*
*Matheew 25:14-30*

Ministries rise and fall with loyalty
Being loyal means you are faithful/obedient/respectful /honoring/accountable
Being loyal means you pay allegiance.
If you are not loyal, what you do won't go far...
Let's be loyal at our places of work/worship/families.
We are first loyal to God then we become loyal to the church/family.

*1corinthians 4:2*
*Now it's required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful.*

Loyalty is key in picking heirs
Our loyalty to God will help us to inherit the kingdom of God.

Dangers of internal disloyalty is;
-when you are disloyal, you are the devils chariot for the destruction of that church/ministry/family/business..

Loyalty moves us in one direction..
*Disloyal people are*
-not contented
-Fault finders
-In secret meetings
-Back biters
-Have their interpretation of statements from leaders.

*The success of a church/ministry depends on the unity of those within.*

Have a blessed week

*The Fullness of God in you*

*For in him(Jesus Christ) all the fullness of God dwells bodily* ( Collosians 1 vs 18)

Our opening text is mind blowing, reading such kind of scriptures ought to stir up the new creature for greatness. This is because whatsoever is true concerning our Lord Jesus Christ is also true concerning us for as He is, so are we in this world. ( 1 John 4 :17). The new creature ( which is you who have made Jesus Lord) is identical to the master Jesus Christ. He is no different! As Jesus is so is He. Glory to God.

Now the Apostle Paul in our opening text teaches us by the Spirit that in Jesus Christ all the fullness of God dwells bodily. Meaning all of God dwells in Christ Jesus, in fact in the few verses before that He tells us that Jesus is the image of the invisible God, He is the express image of the Father's person. If you wanted to see the Father you can just look at Jesus. Jesus is the perfect icon of the Father. Now think about it, if all this is true concerning the master, then it's definitely true concerning us. We are In Christ and In Christ all the fullness of God dwells. That simply means we also have the fullness of God in us. God has made His home in us. He has made his eternal dwelling in us.

Now when these things dawn in your Spirit, you will not be found running from devils! You will not be found sick or diseased. The man who has come to understand these things cannot be defeated in life. John understood this and boldly declared that greater is He that is in me, than He that's in the world.(1 John 4 vs 4). Brothers and sisters, we carry the presence of God in us. When we touch people God has touched them, we are not the ones looking for another touch No! We don't need a touch, He lives in us, He expresses his Divinity in and through us. He speaks through our mouths, he sees through our eyes, His mind has become our mind. How then can we be ordinary? Whatever was normal and ordinary in us died a long time ago and it was replaced with the presence of the Father. He is nolonger far away, He lives in US. I like to put it this way *" He is at home in us!!"*
*And of his fulness have we all received, grace upon grace.* John 1:16

Prayer
Father I thank you for awakening me today to the reality of your presence in me. Thank you for you making me your home. You express your Love, your grace, your kindness, your righteousness, your wisdom and dominion in and through me, surely Divinity is at work in me. Your glory and Majesty is revealed in me and Glory is ascribed to your name because of me. Blessed be your Holy Name. Amen.

[02/27/18]   Call Things as Though They Are

Your words have creative power. Just as God calls things that are not as though they were, we should also declare what we want to see in our lives. In other words, you may have days when you don't feel well, but don't go around saying, "Ah, my back has been hurting me. I'm getting so old. I don't think I'm ever going to get better." When you speak like that, you are speaking defeat into your future. Instead, turn it around. Declare a report of victory by saying, "I may not feel up to par, but I know it's only temporary. God is restoring health unto me. I'm getting stronger, healthier and feeling younger. My best days are still up ahead."

Remember, you're going to get what you call in to your life. You have creative power in your words, and you are prophesying your future. Declare what God says about you – that you are blessed and cannot be cursed, that you are above only and not beneath! As you call things that are not as though they were, you will see God's wonderful promises and blessing come to pass in every area of your life!

Today’s Scripture
"…God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not."

[01/07/18]   CHRIST EXSISTED AND WAS FOREORDAINED FOR ME BEFORE THE FOUNDATION OF THE WORLD.

1 PETER 1:18-20

18 Forasmuch as ye know that ye were not redeemed with corruptible things, as silver and gold, from your vain conversation received by tradition from your fathers;

19 But with the precious blood of Christ, as of a lamb without blemish and without spot:

20 Who verily was foreordained before the foundation of the world, but was manifest in these last times for you,

[01/02/18]   I believe God still has great things in store this year and believe that He will continue to pour out his blessings on all of us. Get ready for Him to do unprecedented things in your life and family.
