*"O you who have believed, what is [the matter] with you that, when you are told to go forth in the cause of Allah, you adhere heavily to the earth? Are you satisfied with the life of this world rather than the Hereafter? But what is the enjoyment of worldly life compared to the Hereafter except a [very] little."*

The Holy Quran (31:34)
Only God has the knowledge of the Hour. He sends rain from the heavens, and knows what is in the mothers´ wombs. No one knows what he will do on the morrow; no one knows in what land he will die. Surely God knows and is cognisant.

The Holy Quran (24:11)
Those who spread lies were a clique among you. Do not think that it was bad for you In fact it has been good for you. Each of them will pay for the sin he has committed, and he who had greater share (of guilt) will suffer grievous punishment.

Allah has promised to the believers, male and female, gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they shall live forever, and good homes in gardens of eternity. And Allah’s pleasure is above all. That is the supreme success.
FIRST REMINDER. Tuesday. 23rd day of Ramadan. Zakat Al-Fitr as explained by Sheikh Dr. Bilal Philips based on Quran and Sunnah. BismilLaahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
Zakah al-Fitr is often referred to as Sadaqah al-Fitr. The word Fitr means the same as Iftar, breaking a fast and it comes from the same root word as Futur which means breakfast. Thus, Islamically, Zakah al-Fitr is the name given to charity which is distributed at the end of the fast of Ramadan.
Sadaqah al-Fitr is a duty which is Wajib on every Muslim, whether male or female, minor or adult as long as he/she has the means to do so. The proof that this form of charity is compulsory can be found in the Sunnah whereby Ibn `Umar reported that the Prophet (peace be upon him) made Zakah al-Fitr compulsory on every slave, freeman, male, female, young and old among the Muslims; one "Sa" of dried dates or one "Sa" of barley. [Collected by Imam Al Bukhari - Arabic/English, vol. 2, p. 339, no. 579 ]. "Sa" is the unique cup used for the measurement. It can be rice, maize, money sufficient for breakfast or any food that can be used.
The head of the household may pay the required amount for the other members. Abu Sa'id al-Khudri said, "On behalf of our young and old, free men and slaves, we used to take out during Allah's Messenger's (peace be upon him) lifetime one Sa` of grain, cheese or raisins". [Collected by Imam Muslim - English transl. vol. 2, p. 469, no. 2155 ]. To be continued in shaa Allah. We ask Allah to keep guiding us all and forgive our ignorance. Aameen.
FIRST REMINDER. Sunday. 7th day of Ramadaan. DOES WET DREAMS INVALIDATE THE FAST? Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
If you experience a wet dream, it does not affect the validity of your fast. Your fast is broken only if you ejaculate because of deliberate action or thinking on your part. Since you have no control over your dreams while sleeping, it does not affect the validity of your fast.
This is a matter that is beyond a person’s control, and we cannot prevent it. Allaah says; “Allaah burdens not a person beyond his scope”[al-Baqarah 2:286].
However, let me hasten to indicate that you ought to do ghusl (bath) in order to be entitled to perform salah (in case of a wet dream). This is one of the things that Allaah has created in human nature for men and women alike. Hence it was narrated from Umm Salamah the Mother of the Believers that: “Umm Sulaym the wife of Abu Talhah came to the Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allaah, verily Allaah is not shy of (telling you) the truth. Is it necessary for a woman to take a bath (ghusl) after she has a wet dream?’ The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) said, ‘Yes, if she notices a discharge.’” (Narrated by al-Bukhaari, al-Ghusl, 373; Muslim, al-Hayd, 471). You can ask any questions relating to fasting please. May Allah accept our little efforts and forgive our shortcomings. Aameen.
*LAST SERMON OF HOLY PROPHET MOHAMAD.*
*THIS SERMON WAS DELIVERED ON TH E NINTH DAY OF DHUL-HIJJAH 10 AD IN THE URANAH VALLEY OF MOUNT ARRAFAT*
*"O people, lend me an attentive ear, for I know not whether, after this year, I shall ever be amongst you again. Therefore listen to what I am saying to you very carefully and TAKE THESE TO THOSE WHO COULD NOT BE PRESENT HERE TODAY.*
*O people, just as you regard this month, this day, this city as sacred, so regard the life and property of every muslim as a sacred trust. Return the goods entrusted to you to their rightful owners. Hurt no one so that no one may hurt you. Remember that you will indeed meet your lord and that He will indeed reckon your deeds. ALLAH has forbidden you to take usury (interest). Therefore all interst obligation shall henceforth be waived.*
*Beware of Satan, for the safety of your religion. He has lost all hope that he will ever be able to lead you astray in things, so beware of following him in small things.*
*O people, it is true that you have the right with regards to your woman, but they also have rights over you. If they abide by your rights then to them belong the right to be fed and clothed in kindness. Do treat your women well and be kind to them for they are your partners and committed helpers. And it approve, as well as never commit adultery.*
*O people, listen to me in earnest, worship ALLAH, say your five time daily prayers (salat) fast during the month of ramadan, and give your wealth in zakat. Perform Hajj if you can afford to. You know that every muslim is the brother of another muslim. YOU ARE ALL EQUAL.. No body has superiority over another except by piety and good action.*
*Remember, one day you will appear before ALLAH and answer for your deeds. O beware, do not stray from the part of righteousness after I am gone.*
*O people, NO PROPHET OR APOSTLE WILL COME AFTER ME AND NO NEW FAITH WILL BE BORN. Reason well, therefore people, understand my word, which I convey to you. I leave behind me two things, the QURAN and my SUNNAH and if you follow these you will not go astray.*
*All those who listen to me shall pass on my words to others and those to others again, and may the last understand my words better than those who listen to me directly. Be my witness O ALLAH, that I have convyed your message to your people"*
*If you are lucky to recieve this message, pls give it widest publicity*
“WHOEVER FASTS ONE DAY FOR THE SAKE OF ALLAAH,
Allaah will keep his face seventy years’ distance from Hell,”
•[Nasaa’i, 2247; classed as saheeh by al-Albaani in Saheeh Sunan Nasaa’i, 2121]
WHY FASTING IS PRESCRIBED
“O you who believe!
Decreed Upon You is -Sawm(Fasting) As it was Decreed Upon those before you, that you may become (Righteous)”
[Noble Qur’an 2:183]
FASTING is a means of attaining taqwa (piety, being conscious of Allaah), and taqwa means doing that which Allaah has enjoined and avoiding that which He has forbidden!
On the authority of Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him), who said that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: Allah Almighty has said: The son of Adam denied Me and he had no right to do so. And he reviled Me and he had no right to do so. As for his denying Me, it is his saying: He will not remake me as He made me at first (1) - and the initial creation [of him] is no easier for Me than remaking him. As for his reviling Me, it is his saying: Allah has taken to Himself a son, while I am the One, the Everlasting Refuge. I begot not nor was I begotten, and there is none comparable to Me.(1) i.e., bring me back to life after death. It was related by al-Bukhari (also by an-Nasa'i).

When breaking fast (Iftar)
"Dhahhaba dhwama-u, wab-tallatil uruuqu, wathabbata ajru in sha Allah."
The thirst is gone, the veins are moistened and the reward is confirmed, if Allah wills.

Hadeeth of the Day--(Yawmul ithnayn (Monday), Ramadan 1st, 1437 AH)
Topic: Don't Exaggerate in Islam
'Abdullah bin Mas'ud Allah be pleased with him narrated that the Messenger of Allah (PBUH) said:
“Those who exaggerate [in their devotions, behaviour, or speech] have destroyed themselves.”
[Muslim, Ch.14, On Moderation in Devotions, Hadeeth 144]
These are people who exaggerate in their practice of religion and their affairs of life. Moderation is encouraged. And people should practise religion and live life according to their ability and capacity.
People should be moderate in their behaviour and speech. And not preach hatred and violence. Our practices and interpretations of Islam should not be severe and extreme to burden Muslims and deter potential ones from joining in the faith.
But that is not say we should compromise our faith. And be liberal with it.
Using toothpaste whilst fasting is makruh & disliked. One may use a scented miswak, a plain brush &a tongue scraper instead.
A person who is a musāfir (traveller) before Dawn may omit the fast of that day. If journey begins in day, can't miss fast.
FIRST REMINDER. Sunday. 29th day of Shaabaan. Being healthy in Ramadan. Bismillahir Rahmaanir Raheem.
It’s important to be healthy in Ramadhan so that we can benefit fully from everything this month has to offer. It’s a busy and intense period of ibadah (worship) alhamdulillah, and we can and should help ourselves by being in the best possible physical condition. We can ensure this by eating foods that are rich in goodness, the consequences of which will in shaa Allah include making fasting easier for our bodies and minds.
One of the biggest risks we must try to avoid during Ramadan is dehydration. Now we must be clear that fasting is not a risk in itself. Allah subhanahu wata’aala would not prescribe upon us worship that is harmful for us. And for the portion of the ummah for whom fasting is too difficult, Allah subhanahu wata’aala has exempted them this obligation, providing them with alternatives. We, however, have created possible risks for ourselves by being careless about our diets and eating foods that don’t provide our bodies with the sustenance they need. One of the biggest risks we face is dehydration.
The adult body is about 60% water and this water is crucial for the creation and maintenance of all sorts: digestion, saliva, circulation and the absorption and transportation of nutrients. We lose a lot of water, however, through urine, sweating, and skin evaporation which means it is crucial that we constantly hydrate ourselves to ensure our bodies are in healthy, working order.
In Ramadan, we may forget or find it difficult to drink the necessary amount of water that keeps us hydrated. Most health professionals advise eight glasses of water a day, but realistically, who can drink that amount without getting completely bored of water? It is, however, necessary that we consume an amount of water close to this, especially after breaking our fasts and when we wakeup for sahuur. To be continued in shaa Allah.
May Allah protect us from any illnesses and heal all our sick brothers and sisters. Aameen.
Hadeeth of the Day--(Yawmul sabt [Saturday], Shaba'an 28th , 1437 AH)
Topic: What Allah Forbids and Dislikes of You
Al-Mugira may Allah be pleased with him narrated that the Prophet said PBUH:
"Allah has forbidden you:
1. to be undutiful to your mothers
2. to prevent (what you should give in charity etc.)
3. to beg of men (begging) and
4. to bury your daughters alive
And Allah has disliked for you:
a). Qil and Qal (sinful and useless talk, like backbiting, etc. or that you talk too much .
b). ask too many questions (in disputed religious matters)
c). to waste your property (by extravagance)."
[Sahih Al-Bukhāri, Vol.8, Hadeeth No.5975]
In the above Hadeeth contained four things forbidden to us and three that are disliked for us by Allah, the Most High and Exalted. As muslims, we must be mindful of them and act on their teachings. And may Allah make it easy for us all.
Swallowing spit after gathering it in mouth & gulping it down will not break fast. However,to gather & gulp is discouraged.
Swallowing one's phlegm or mucus will not break one's fast.

Topic: Have Patience in the Face Challenges
Abu Hurairah Allah be pleased with him relates that the Messenger of God peace be upon him said:
“If Allah wants to favour someone, He will try him (or her) [with affliction].”
[Al-Bukhāri, Riyadh As-Salihin, Ch.3, On Patience, Hadeeth No.39]
Challenges are the reality of life. Every successful person in any field; whether in religion, military or business just to mention few, has endured challenges with patience only to become the success we see.
Take the story of the great prophets of Allah and the equally great challenges they went through. They have become so great because of their patience in the face of those challenges.
And even in business world. A lot of successful business men and women have endured and showed a great deal of patience in the face of many challenges.
Challenges do not kill. They only make us wiser and stronger. And remember! “For indeed, with hard [will be] ease.” Qur'an 94:6
