The High tea was the first activity before the dinner.
About the fundraising dinner yesterday at St. Andrew's church of Uganda Komamboga.
Happy are those who rest in his name. On behalf of the family of Mr. & Mrs. Zizinga I take this opportunity to thank and welcome you back from JJungo
2Timothy 2:11-13 ... If we die with him, We will also live with him. If we endure hardship, we will reign with him. If we deny him, he will deny us. If we are unfaithful he remains faithful, for he cannot deny who he is. Are you facing hardships? Don't turn away from God- he promises a wonderful future with him.
A man may die but his legacy will continue through his deeds. Today the pain of losing you is difficult to bear because this world needed you for some more years. May your soul RIP.
Mission service on 10th March, 2019. This message was conveyed today from lay reader Mr. Nsereko Sevume from St.Paul Cathedral, Namirembe. We thank him for his pledge of 200,000/- towards the children's Church.
THE SURE ARMOUR 1 Life is full of challenges which can be overwhelming. So "Stand therefore, having your loins girt about with truth, and having on the true breastplate of righteousness." Ephesians 6:14 Having received the gift of righteousness, we are empowered to do the works of righteousness. 1 Corinthians 15:34. If we walk with Christ's righteousness every rage of the devil against us is sure to be defeated. Make both part of your daily walk.
Mbagalanyo Mukama Yebazibwe?

We are an Anglican Church based on Waligo Road. The Lay Reader is Mrs. Prossy Malumba, the head of Laity is Mrs. Esta Musoke and her Vice is Mrs.

Eunice Kintu.

Let us all preach the message of peace.

Paul in his letter to the Romans 12:17 says," Never pay back evil with more evil. Do things in such a way that everyone can see you are honorable. Do all that you can to live in peace with everyone. " And in verse 21,"Don't let evil conquer you, but conquer evil by doing good."

As we pray for peace in our nation, let us do acts of goodness to one another.

O Uganda, may God uphold thee.
Thank you God, for such a beautiful country.

Be blessed.

#peace #goodvibes #blessings #loveeachday #loveyourneighborasyouloveyourself

How beautiful you are my darling! Oh how beautiful! Your eyes behind your veil are doves. Your hair is like a flock of goats descending from Mount Rwenzori (Gilead). Your teeth are like a flock of sheep just shorn, coming up from the washing. Each has its twin; not one of them is alone. Your lips are like a scarlet ribbon; your mouth is lovely. Your temples ...are like the halves of a pomegranate. Your neck is like the tower of David, built with elegance...
All beautiful you are, my darling; there is no flaw in you." Song of Songs 4:1-7.

The writer in the above text, saysit all. I believe Tom in these pictures is talking to his wife, Enid.

Be blessed, the latest couple St.Andrew's Church of Uganda Komamboga

We would like to congratulate Mr John and Mrs Enid Kusiima who tied the knot, yesterday @St. Andrews Church, Bukoto.

May our Almighty God grant you peace, joy and happiness in your marriage. But most important, may the Lord be in the midst of your marriage and you experience his love.

Ugandans, maybe wondering. People are wondering. You are wondering. What is going on?

Today, is the ordination of deacons and priests All Saints Cathedral Nakasero I listened to Canon Baraka preach during this service, this morning, he reminded us of the cardinal role of the Church in society. Jesus said it before he left earth after his resurrection in Mathew 28:19, "Go and make disciples of all nations...". In 2 Corinthians 10:3- 5, Paul says, " We are human, but we don't wage war as humans do. We use God's mighty weapons not worldly weapons to knock down the strongholds of human reasoning and to destroy false arguments. We destroy every proud obstacle that keeps people from knowing God. We capture their rebellious thoughts and teach them to obey Christ. "

[12/04/20]   Are you feeling happy or sad, worried or stressed?

In life sometimes you are:

"Hard pressed on every side, but not crushed; perplexed but not in despair; persecuted, but not abandoned; struck down, but not destroyed." 2 Corinthians 4:8,9.

Paul encourages us in 2 Corinthians 4: 16- 18 when he says, "Therefore do not lose heart. Though outwardly we are wasting away yet inwardly we are being renewed day by day. For our momentary troubles are achieving for us an eternal glory that far outweigh them all. So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen..."

What a beautiful word God has for us today. Do not despair for what you are going through is temporary. It is just a season and it will pass, in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ.

Have a blessed weekend, brethren.

[11/30/20]   Do you know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last; but we do it forever. Therefore I do not run like a man running aimlessly; I do not fight like a man beating the air. No I beat my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24-27

This text summarises what an apostle of Christ should be. We can all be that and look towards working for the eternal crown.

Our aerobics class every weekend is an example of how you can remain focussed on the goal. Stay focused on the Christian goal, to bring lives for Christ.

If you are a Christian, how many years have you been one? Since birth? Or did you listen to the Word of God and then you were converted to Christianity? Is it one year or more than 10, 20 or 50 years? Have you ever asked yourself, what level you are at? Have you lived all your life, to this day as a baby Christian? Are you growing as a Christian? Take time to think of your answer.

A baby Christian first feeds on milk - the soft word of God. It is envisaged that after a while you will begin to crush bones. At this stage you will begin to feed new converts with milk.

Jesus said in Mathew 28:19, "Go, then and teach all nations, baptising them in the name of the Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit."

In Hebrews 5:11-14, it says, "There is much more we would like to say about this, but it is difficult to explain, especially since you are spiritually dull and don't seem to listen. You have been believers so long now that you ought to be teaching others. Instead you need someone to teach you again the basic things about God's word. You are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. For someone who lives on milk is still an infant and doesn't know how to do what is right. Solid food is for those who are mature, who through training have the skill to recognise the difference between right and wrong."

I pray, that from now onwards you will make a conscious effort to grow in the Lord and then teach another about Jesus Christ, in the Mighty Name of Jesus.

"For no matter how many promises God has made, they are Yes in Christ. And so, through him the Amen is spoken by us to the glory of God." 2 Corinthians 1:20.

We are assured in scripture that God's promises will never fail... If God says he will do something, no one, no spirit, nothing can deter it.

One of the things I love about our Church and the Christians of St. Andrew's Church, Komamboga is they stand with you in good and bad times.

Last week some ladies secretly arranged a bridal shower for Enid to wish her well, pray with her for her forthcoming wedding next month.

We thank our Mubuliizi for gracing the occasion and leading the prayers for her marriage.

Yes, God's promises are yes. And we have to concur and say, AMEN.

#staysafe #prayerworks

God's directions may not always make sense to us, because as humans, we are too short-sighted to see what he does and and too dull to think as He.

On Saturday two friends of mine, both of them, whose first names are Ruth lost their husbands. Their husbands passed on and went to be with the Lord. Both families committed Christians, very prayerful and evangelists.

When I asked myself why Lord? He answered me thus," For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways,"... For just as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways far beyond anything you can imagine. Isaiah 55:8

I then said, Amen.

Have you ever asked God, But why God, why? As we profess in the Lord's Prayer, May your will (God's) be done and then accept God's will over our lives.

Have a blessed week. God bless you all.
#staysafe #GodIsOurRefuge

The world today is full of pain, sorrow and agony. More people are getting depressed these days. However when you accept Christ you get peace even through trials.

Brethren, we need to understand the gospel in order to preach the word of God to the thousands of lost souls around us. We need to reach out to all who are lost. We need to worship the Lord. "One day as these men were worshipping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said," Appoint Barnabas and Saul for the special work to which I have called them." Acts 13:2

As Christians we are not doing enough. Many people have heard of the gospel of Christ. Many are called Christians but something is missing. We need to change and become like "David, son of Jesse, a man after my (God's) own heart. He will do everything I want him to do." Acts 13:22.

Acts 13:46-48 adds, "Then Paul and Barnabas spoke boldly and declared, it was necessary that we first preach out the word of God to you... For the Lord gave us this command when he said,

'I have made you the light to the Gentiles, to bring salvation to the farthest corners of the earth."

Psalm 56: 3 "When I am afraid, I will trust you. In God, whose word I praise, in God I trust; I will not be afraid. What can mortal man do to me?...
Record my lament; list my tears on your scroll - are they not in your record?

Sometimes we feel sad, lonely, or unsure. We ask ourselves, what next, Lord?

Then the Holy Spirit answers in that quiet voice, " Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, THIS IS THE WAY; WALK IN IT." Isaiah 30:21

Yesterday, we buried the mother of our Mubuliizi's husband at 97 years. She was born again. It was a time of praise and thanks for her life.

I will bless the Lord at all times: his praise shall continually be in my mouth. Psalm 34:1

We thank all who travelled to Jogo, Sonde and were together with the family at the burial, brethren from Churches of Magere, St. Stephen's Church Mpererwe and St. Andrews, Komamboga.

Who is your mentor? Even as you go to him or her to mentor you in the word of God, do you gift them back? You need their wealth of experience. Your relationship with them should not be parasitic, but symbiotic- as he/ she gives to you. So you should also give back.

In 1 Corinthian 9:11 Paul says, "Since we have planted spiritual seed among you, aren't we entitled to a harvest of physical food and drink?"

In Acts 2:35 the bible reading says, " I have shown you all things, how you can help those who are weak, and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he said, it is more blessed to give than to receive."

Ugandans tend to have this culture of expecting to be given all the time. Let us break it and cultivate GIVING TO OTHERS.

Brethren, November is the month of harvest in our Church calendar.

Remember to take to the Lord the harvest from your sweat.

In Isaiah 32:20 it says, "...the Lord will greatly bless his people. Wherever they plant seed, bountiful crops will spring up. Their cattle and donkeys will graze freely."

May God bless you.

In Mathew 13:11- 16, Jesus said to his disciples, "You are permitted to understand the secrets of the Kingdom of Heaven but others are not. To those who listen to my teaching, more understanding will be given, and they will have abundance of knowledge. But to those who are not listening, even what little understanding they have will be taken away from them. That is why I use these parables,

For they look but they don't really see.
They hear but they don't really listen or understand...

For the hearts of these people are hardened, and their ears cannot hear,
And they have closed their eyes-
So their eyes cannot see,
And their ears cannot hear,
And their hearts cannot understand,
And they cannot turn to me
And let me heal them.

But blessed are your eyes, because they see, and your ears because they hear. I tell you the truth many prophets and righteous people longed to see what you see but they didn't see it. And they longed to hear what you hear but they didn't hear it."

[11/03/20]   Praise the Lord!

Praise the name of the Lord! Praise him you who serve the Lord...

I know the greatness of the Lord-
That our Lord is greater than any other god
The Lord does what pleases him throughout all heaven and earth, and on the seas and in their depths.
He causes the clouds to rise over the whole earth. He sends the lightning with the rain and releases the wind from his storehouses.

Psalm 135:1,5-6.

Like he has done this morning.

Have a blessed day, brethren.

Would you want your employer to treat you the same way you treat your domestic staff or some subordinates?

Don't insult them or slap them, don't make them eat your leftovers or sleep in the kitchen.

Luke 6:31 Jesus said,"Do to others as you would have them do to you."

Let us have the minds of little children who have not been yet been corrupted by the evils of this world.

I found this bible reading particularly interesting.

2 Timothy 3:1-9 "You should know this,...that in the last days, there will be very difficult times. For people will love only themselves and money. They will be boastful and proud, scoffing at God, disobedient to their parents, and ungrateful. They will consider nothing sacred. They will be unloving and unforgiving; they will slander others and have no self- control. They will be cruel and hate what is good. They will betray their friends, be reckless, be puffed up with pride, and love pleasure rather than God. They will act religious, but they will reject the power that could make them godly. Stay away from people like that!

They are kind who work their way into people's homes and win the confidence of vulnerable women who are burdened with the guilt of sin and controlled by various desires. Such women are forever following new teachings, but they are never able to understand the truth. These teachers oppose the truth just as Jannes and Jambres oppose Moses. They have depraved minds and a counterfeit faith. But they won't get away with this for long. Some day someone will recognise what fools they are..."

The truth is...

1 John 2:26, 27 that, "I am writing these things to warn you about those who want to lead you astray. But you have received the Holy Spirit, and he lives within you, so you don't need anyone to teach you what is true. For the Spirit teaches you everything you need to know, and what he teaches is true- it is not a lie. So just as he taught you remain in Christ.

We are hard pressed on every side, yet not crushed; we are perplexed, but not in despair; persecuted, but not forsaken; struck down but not destroyed-.

Always carrying about in the body of the dying of the Lord Jesus, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our body...
Knowing that He who raised up the Lord Jesus Christ will also raise us up with Jesus, and will present us with you. 2 Corinthians 4:10-8-10,13.

Have you seen and heard what is happening around you? Banange nga the devil is a liar!!!!
So many deaths, sicknesses, fights, lies, envy...

But we are more than conquerors, if we trust and live a Christ like life. We just need to seek him first in everything and his righteousness' and everything else will be added unto us.

Have a blessed Wednesday, brethren.

As long as the earth remains there will be planting and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night.

Its harvest season for Christians of the Church of Uganda.

This will be on 15th, 22nd and 29th November, 2020.

When you sin, God will correct you. In Hebrews 12:5...he said,
" My child don't make light of the Lord's discipline, and don't give up when he corrects you. For the Lord disciplines those he loves... No discipline is enjoyable when it is happening- its painful! But afterward there will be a peaceful harvest of right living for those who are trained in this way."

Christianity is not just about rules and regulations. It is about letting Jesus into your life and asking the Holy Spirit to guide and teach you his paths. Psalm 25:4.

Let us not live like the Pharisee in Luke 18:11-14 who stood by himself and prayed thus,"Thank you Lord that I am not like other people- cheaters, sinners and adulterers... I fast twice a week and I give a tenth of my income... For those who exalt themselves will be humbled and those who humble themselves will be exalted."

Have a blessed Thursday.

#staysafe #praywithfaith #LoveGodWithAllYourHeart

Mathew 12:33-36 says, "A tree is identified by its fruit. If a tree is good its fruit will be good. If a tree is bad, its fruit will be bad. You brood of snakes! How could evil men like you speak what is good and right? For whatever is in your heart determines what you say. A good person produces good things from the treasury of a good heart, and an evil person produces evil things from the treasury of an evil heart. And I tell you this you must give an account on judgement day for every idle word you speak. The words you say will either acquit you or condemn you."

How are you identified by your family? Your friends, relatives and countrymen?

Bear fruits, and good fruits.

Have a beautiful Sunday with family.
