Happy Father's Day. We are blessed by your ministry over the years and the tremendous work you have done in teaching us to love and serve God.
Open Letter to the Leaders of the Church in Uganda Greetings in the name of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. Thank you for heeding the call to ministry. There isn’t any more distinguished honourable and nobler service in the world than labouring in the Lord’s vineyard. Even in times like this when the whole world seems to have more questions than answers, we should not lose sight of the fact that God in His infinite wisdom considered it fit to call us, equip us and then unleash us to a world that is for the most part drowning in the sea of fear, confusion and unbelief. However, it is in such moments as we are facing today, with this whole virus situation, that we must be prepared to ask ourselves difficult questions and accept uncomfortable insights. For instance, are we at present correctly representing our Lord in all this? How did we find ourselves in this state; scattered and nearly voiceless? Didn’t our Lord say to us that in our oneness is when the world will get to know Him? When the Lord has birthed in our midst a gift or a call in the form of one He has anointed, we have continuously failed the test of legitimacy as His co-labourers when we have sought rather to “let it be neither mine nor thine, but divide it”, as was with the case of King Solomon’s remarkable test of wisdom (1 Kings 3:16-28). This “I either have it or we all lose it” mentality has been responsible for our animosity towards each other and not the pretentious accusations of suspicion in the indulgence of the occult and cultism. And yet, even so, some of us have made it clear that though they will listen to pagans; to the ungodly, they have no interest in listening to their fellow labourer in the gospel of Christ in the guise of their suspicion of him or her indulging in the occult. Man of God, woman of God, our service to the Lord is so critical in such times to remain in division over very petty issues. Yet, because we have been found wanting thanks to our disunity, the world will never forget how so easily it turned us over when this whole pandemic situation was unleashed. And when the prince of darkness shall seek to strike again, he will not forget this. This should never happen again. We have the opportunity to get back on course. Man of God, woman of God, seek no one’s approval but God’s. We have sought more to be in good books with men; with politicians, with the media, than we have with God. Whereas, we are sent to “go out into the world”, we should never forget that we are in this world but not of it. If indeed we are the Lord’s and have his Spirit, we should never forget that He said “if the world hate you, then ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. If you were of the world, the world would love his own. But because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you” (John 15:18-19). Aren’t there any of us left, who can for instance, seek to advise the politician or the leaders out there without expectations of any form? Have we considered the benefits of being on God’s payroll over those (benefits) of being on man’s payroll? We should never forget that we are not public servants but servants of God. We can only serve the public truthfully to the degree with which we serve God. Man of God, woman of God, we must rediscover our spiritual heritage which was seen throughout the days of “the Acts of the Apostles”, or else, we will honestly remain irrelevant in times like this. Yet, it is because of such supernatural feats that some amongst us have either ignorantly or deliberately misguided a few people by labeling the practitioners of such feats as erroneous. In the eyes of such ministers, we who practise such supernatural feats, are seen as extreme, as fanatical and as cultic. But if their labels on us are considered correct, then so too were our predecessors, such as the prophets of old, the apostles and Jesus Himself extreme, fanatical and cult. For there is nothing that we practice, that cannot be traced back to the roots of the scriptures. Because of the accommodation of such divisive rhetoric from “false brethren”, instead of flashing it away, as commanded in the bible “Now I beseech you, brethren, mark them which cause divisions and offences contrary to the doctrine which you have learned; and avoid them. For they that are such serve not our Lord Jesus Christ but their own belly; and by good words and fair speeches deceive the hearts of the simple” (Romans 16:17-18), because of this we have ceded ground to secular opinions where the revelation of God should reign supreme. Because of this, at such a time as this, we are hiding in our “fox holes” waiting for solutions from the world. Oh how we have fallen! Are we really that naive to think that the world has our best interests at heart when planning its future agenda? The Holy Spirit tells us in the book of revelations that “the god of this world” is setting up a system, an agenda, where no one will be able to buy or sell unless such one has “the mark, which is the name of the beast or the number of its name”. Have we thought about the different stages in which the world is moving towards the implementation of this ultimatum on the ability to buy and sell? Do we know where we presently find ourselves on that roadmap? Or shall we find that we are in partnership or contributing to this final apocalyptic implementation of the mark of the beast? When faced with such conflict, man of God, woman of God, know that we are bound in conscience before the Great Judgment Seat of Christ to counter and resist every agenda that is geared towards the destruction of the church of Christ, the kingdom of God. However, if we hold up the white flag of surrender in the face of these agendas, a time will come when our mode of worship of Christ will only be as dictated by the world, even as we have at present gotten a sneak peek of this: “not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching” (Hebrews 10:25). None of us alive today will dodge the question about how this whole situation turned us over. And, the best answer that anyone can imagine will be, “Lord, it was because of a virus”. Yet, hasn’t He said that heaven and earth will pass away but His word will abide forever? Man of God, woman of God, if you do not rise up as God through Mordecai warned Esther; if you remain silent in this time, relief and deliverance for the body of Christ will come from another place. As the scripture asks, “who knows that you have come to your royal position for such a time as this?” Awaken, and do not let “the little ones'' who have been entrusted to you to stumble into darkness. Have you not read that “it would be better for him to have a millstone hung around his neck and to be thrown into the sea than to cause one of these little ones to stumble''?, (Luke 17:2). Satan’s agenda has never been so clear than it is in our day. Therefore, ours is to be awake spiritually than ever before; walk in love and fellowship and unity with each other, so that we may easily be able to detect the enemy and lead God’s people to the dominion of His Majesty. DOMINION MEANS TAKING CHARGE Posted April 30, 2020 Bishop Richard When God created man, it was clear that the mission was for man to manage, govern and time the earth. Adam in the way specifically told to tend, guard and keep the garden. He comes in to name the animals, care for the garden and ensure that everything functions according to the design of God. Basically Adam had to take charge. In your personal life, God has intended for you to take charge. Don’t wait for someone to tell you what to do or where to go. Step up your leadership and take charge. In your family, community, church,. Nation and every area you are, take charge. Every one is looking up to you for leadership so step up and do your thing. SCRIPTURE READING: Genesis 2:8-15 Genesis 2:8-15 The LORD God planted a garden eastward in Eden, and there He put the man whom He had formed. And out of the ground the LORD God made every tree grow that is pleasant to the sight and good for food. The tree of life [was] also in the midst of the garden, and the tree of the knowledge of good and evil. Now a river went out of Eden to water the garden, and from there it parted and became four riverheads. The name of the first [is] Pishon; it [is] the one which skirts the whole land of Havilah, where [there is] gold. And the gold of that land [is] good. Bdellium and the onyx stone [are] there. The name of the second river [is] Gihon; it [is] the one which goes around the whole land of Cush. The name of the third river [is] Hiddekel; it [is] the one which goes toward the east of Assyria. The fourth river [is] the Euphrates. Then the LORD God took the man and put him in the garden of Eden to tend and keep it. DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, guide my footsteps to step up and take charge in Jesus name.
WHAT IS HOLINESS IN SIMPLE EXPLANATION. Holiness is the nature and character of God manifested to us through the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit is the Spirit of Holiness. Holiness, or Sanctification is the process of God's grace sanctifying (making holy) a person who was justified and regenerated (1 Cor. 6:11; Titus 3:5). Holiness or Sanctification is God's perfect will for all Christians (Rom.12:1-2; 1Thes.4:1-7). God ordained His people to bear fruit, and this includes maturity through sanctification. Holiness is BOTH consecration to God and separation from the world and all sins,it is always a command by God to man (Titus 2:11-12; 1 Peter 1:15-16; Matthew 5:48; 2Cor.5:17). Without Holiness, no man shall see the Lord (Mat.5:8; Heb.12:14; Rev. 22:10-12). God requires Holiness better than spiritual gifts, and is actually the basis of God's moving in the life of a person or church (Joshua 3:5; Matthew 7:21-23). Holiness is both partaking of God's divine nature through the Holy Ghost (2 Peter 1:4), and the actual decision of man to submit to God's control (Rom.12:1). Therefore, a Christian is expected to leave sin and worldliness in pursuit of God's holiness. Separation from sin, wickedness, and worldliness is both a principle of Holiness and a command to obey (2 Cor.6:14-18; James 4:4; 1 John 2:15-16). If a Christian is truly living in the principles of the Bible concerning Holiness, then he will practically obey the standards of God's Word that pertains to holy, righteous, and godly living which includes moral standards, standards of godly clothing and adornment, and prohibition of worldly lifestyles and fashion. Holiness affects all areas and aspects of our lives, including our thoughts, words, actions, dress, lifestyles, relationships, and our outlook in life. In short, Holiness is both inward transformation toward Christ-like character and outward transformation that is different from the ways of the world and unbelievers. That's Holiness.

BUILDING LIMITS – REDEMPTION

BUILDING LIMITS
Posted August 15, 2020 Bishop Richard

Life has some obvious limitations that try to slow us down. It also has some that are not that obvious yet are very effective in slowing us down. As we talk about building, here are some key limitations that tend to slow us down.

It all starts and ends with Desire. Your desire and dreams are a driving force to building. If you don’t have clear passions and desires, you generally don’t pursue anything. You must want to build that dream so much that you dedicate whatever it takes to get the job done. Also you must find a way to make your desires a reality instead of just day dreaming. You are limited by your desire.

While building your dreams, you must create effective Partnerships which will propel you further. You can’t do everything yourself. You must have reliable partners who come a along side your dream and work to make it a reality. Your partnerships make it easy for your dreams to manifest. You are limited by the partners you have or don’t have.

And finally your build is limited to your vision. Long term vision and short term vision are very critical. If you can’t see the future you will generally not be able to create it. You must envision where you are going, where the world is going, what the future holds and how you can position yourself to make the most of it. The King in Luke 14:28-33 had envisioned war and conflict, then he realised he would lose that war. He then begun to envision a future of peace, prosperity and stability by partnering with his adversary. You are limited by your vision. Liberate yourself by envisioning great things in the future. See where the world is going and position yourself favorably.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 14:28-32 For which of you, intending to build a tower, does not sit down first and count the cost, whether he has [enough] to finish [it]— lest, after he has laid the foundation, and is not able to finish, all who see [it] begin to mock him, saying, ‘This man began to build and was not able to finish’? Or what king, going to make war against another king, does not sit down first and consider whether he is able with ten thousand to meet him who comes against him with twenty thousand? Or else, while the other is still a great way off, he sends a delegation and asks conditions of peace.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, teach me the to envision a future of peace and prosperity, amen.

BUILDING DYNAMICS – REDEMPTION

BUILDING DYNAMICS
Posted August 14, 2020 Bishop Richard

There are some dynamics to building that we must remember at all times. These are things that are a must for any kind of build. Ministry, business, career, family, whatever.

It all starts with Starting. Talk is cheap and building requires action. Getting started is one of the hardest things in life. Stop procrastinating and get started with your dreams and destiny.

As you get started, Capacity is critical. Understand and increase your capacity. Refuse to take on more than your capacity so you don’t crash. There is no point getting a ten year old bench pressing 100kg weights. What they need is to progressively increase their capacity as they increase the challenges they take on.

Occasionally evaluate your progress and yourself. Take a good look at what is going on so you can understand the situation in order to deal with it accordingly. Evaluate yourself after every phase.

You will occasionally need to Adjust your approach. There is no point in sticking to a strategy that doesn’t work. Don’t wait to crash in order to accept that change is needed. Adjust on the go.

You will also need to Negotiate as you build the things that matter. Don’t just throw in the towel. When the going gets tough, find a way to achieve your goals. Engage the different stakeholders and thrash out an arrangement that will work for both of you.

Finally you must Finish what you start. Things that are half done can be more dangerous than those never started. Half baked, incomplete projects suck life out of you. Ensure that you finish what you start so you can get into the habit of winning. Failure can be a habit and so can winning. Give yourself several achievable targets so you get into the habit of winning. As a serial winner you learn how to make it happen. Take a good read of the scripture for the day see all the above in the teaching of Jesus.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 15:28-32 “But he was angry and would not go in. Therefore his father came out and pleaded with him. So he answered and said to [his] father, ‘Lo, these many years I have been serving you; I never transgressed your commandment at any time; and yet you never gave me a young goat, that I might make merry with my friends. But as soon as this son of yours came, who has devoured your livelihood with harlots, you killed the fatted calf for him.’ “And he said to him, ‘Son, you are always with me, and all that I have is yours. It was right that we should make merry and be glad, for your brother was dead and is alive again, and was lost and is found.'”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Your teaching leads me to victory. May I continually understand these dynamics in Jesus name amen.

THE ABC’ OF BUILDING – REDEMPTION

THE ABC’ OF BUILDING
Posted August 13, 2020 Bishop Richard

The building process is governed by several principles that must be respected at all times. They apply when building a house, ministry, career, family or anything you want to build. Here are my top six.

You must have and follow a plan also called a blueprint. This is the design, standard, projection of the build. Without a strict adherence to the blueprint you will be lost along the way.

Next is the budgeting. You must figure out how much it’s going to cost to deliver what you are building. Compare prices, negotiate, get alternatives and work your budget to the best possible situation. It’s amazing how one thing can have ten different costs. Get what works for you.

Then you must prioritize. Basically first things first. You can’t put a roof on the foundation. Obviously foundations come first then the walls before the roof. Paint only comes at the end of the build. Finish one before the next. Step by step you make progress.

A cumulative approach comes in handy. Basically you keep building on your yesterday. This means all your efforts are concentrated on this project as you put strength where you already put strength.
Refuse to scatter your efforts. Focus!

Next is phasing. Most projects take lots of time and money. You must break it down into several phases so you can effectively manage your time and money. This means taking one bite at a time. Do what you can with what you have. It gives you the gap you need to evaluate, correct and refocus before the next phase.

Finally you must figure out the resourcing of your project. Where are you getting what you need? People and money are key resources you need for any build. Mobilize these two and you will get going.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Heavenly Father, am grateful for your unending teaching towards the principles of building. I choose to follow through in Jesus name amen.

THE BUILDING PROCESS – REDEMPTION

THE BUILDING PROCESS
Posted August 11, 2020 Bishop Richard

Building is a process that takes several materials, skills, effort and time to produce an outstanding product. While some things are born, most amazing things are built. While you were born into the world, there are many amazing things that God is building in your life.

Therefore let us learn to subject ourselves to and even enjoy the building process we find ourselves in. Instead of trying to just become, we engage the process of building so as to become. There is a building process going on with you right now and you have to appreciate where you are in the process, what is required of you so you can maximize the moment.

Time, effort, skill, longevity and continuity are all part of the building process. You must give time to whatever you are building as you put effort and skill into it, with a long term approach understanding that continuity is paramount. Your next miracle is being assembled by God and you are an active participant in this process.

SCRIPTURE READING: Luke 6:46-49 “But why do you call Me ‘Lord, Lord,’ and not do the things which I say? Whoever comes to Me, and hears My sayings and does them, I will show you whom he is like: He is like a man building a house, who dug deep and laid the foundation on the rock. And when the flood arose, the stream beat vehemently against that house, and could not shake it, for it was founded on the rock. But he who heard and did nothing is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream beat vehemently; and immediately it fell. And the ruin of that house was great.”

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, teach me to give time to whatever I am building. May I build under your building process, amen.

BUILDING WITH GOD – REDEMPTION

BUILDING WITH GOD
Posted August 10, 2020 Bishop Richard

Your life is part of the glorious plan the Lord has for the earth. Through you, God is showing forth His goodness and grace to all creation. You probably question these statements because of the challenges and struggles you seem to always have. God is surely working in your situation to bring you to the place where you will reveal His glory without limitation. God is building you.

The process of bringing you to that place is called building. God is working with you to put brick upon brick and cement, water, paint, wood, metal and everything you need to get to reveal the working of God.

The building process is one that is deliberate in carefully putting things together as a glorious creation is brought forth. Your destiny must be built. Your family, business, career, ministry, marriage and whatever else is built up through a process. Don’t expect to just arrive at your destination. Understand how God is working through the process to get there so you can work with God as He builds you up.

SCRIPTURE READING: Ephesians 2:10 For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.

DEVOTION PRAYER: My Lord, as you continue to teach me, help me understand the building process in Jesus name amen.

ALERT & CLEAR MINDED – REDEMPTION

ALERT & CLEAR MINDED
Posted August 7, 2020 Bishop Richard

The things of God require our co-operation and response. Because God has given man free will and responsibly, we are an important part of what God is doing in the earth. That is why we need to be alert and clear minded so as to run with God.

While God is doing many beautiful things, people tend to get lost or caught up in things that don’t really matter and as a result miss out on the things of God. We must lock our minds and hearts onto the mission and objective of the Lord for the season. This means keeping our minds away from the unlimited distructions fighting for your attention and staying clear and concentrated on the things of God.

Focus your natural and spiritual senses onto the things God is revealing and manifesting in your life. Refuse to go on in life operating with the cruise control button. Be alert, aware, clear minded and absolutely locked onto the purpose of God told. God is already working in your situation but you need to be alert and clear minded to lock onto it and run with God.

SCRIPTURE READING: 1 Peter 4:7 But the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers.

DEVOTION PRAYER: Dear God, teach me to be alert and clear minded on what you’re doing in my life.
