Vision: Shaping believers into Leaders and Leaders into Advocates of change with compassion, dignity and respect. SOZO Global Ministries is meant to create the fact that life is worth living.

In the world today, people are faced with challenges and questions on how to trace out paths through which they can be able to join the few smiling individuals. This struggle in life called for SOZO to internalise the right principles. On that note therefore, we are to use these right principles to teach and empower this generation, unleash the greatness within them and equip them to win before they quit.

“I am leaving you with a gift — peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.” John 14:27 (NLT)

In every stage of life, there will be “those days” when we feel stretched thin. Days when peace seems unattainable due to stressful or heartbreaking situations. Days when we feel frustrated, hopeless or emotionally exhausted as we face the seemingly never-ending struggles of life. What a comfort to know that, because of Jesus, we can have true peace even in less-than-peaceful circumstances. The first gift Jesus gives is life. Get out of restlessness and receive the Life that Jesus gives which surpasses all understanding.

Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Next time I have one of “those days,” please give me a peace that surpasses understanding. Help me to trust You enough to remember that I don’t need to let stress and worry steal my joy. Help me to appreciate what is right in front of me, no matter how hard “those days” are. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

For an angel went down at a certain season into the pool, and troubled the water: whosoever then first after the troubling of the water stepped in was made whole of whatsoever disease he had. -John 5:4

As cold waters to a thirsty soul, so is good news from a far country.

The angel of the Lord would not come in a specific season or time, BUT it was the coming of the angel that would bring about the healing season. There are certain people in life (like this angel of the Lord ) whose arrival brings a NEW SEASON.

For example in Mathew 2:10-11, The arrival of the wise men brought gifts like gold and other treasures at the time of Jesus' birth. When the wise men saw the star, they were overjoyed. On coming to the house, they saw the child with his mother Mary, and they bowed down and worshiped him. Then they opened their treasures and presented him with gifts of gold, frankincense and myrrh. (Proverbs 25:25).

Prayer:
I receive the grace to identify people whose arrival will bring a New beautiful season. When joy feels so very unrealistic, help me God consider where glimpses of joy might be found throughout my day today. In Jesus' name. Amen.

Then the angel of the LORD told her, "Go back to your mistress and submit to her." The angel added, "I will increase your descendants so much that they will be too numerous to count." Genesis 16:9-13 (NIV)

Hagar was a woman who knew the heartache of a life lived on the fringe. She was an Egyptian maidservant who found herself tangled up in the middle of Abraham and Sarah’s story. Mistreated and shunned for a choice she did not make for herself, Hagar intimately knew the grief of feeling forgotten. But God saw her. In that desert, she was not alone. The angel of the Lord encouraged her to return. He promised her numerous descendants. And later in the story when Hagar found herself banished and alone in the desert again, the Lord met her again. She was not forgotten…….And neither are we…Ever. if you’ve ever felt forgotten, overlooked, left out or on the fringe, your tears have not gone unnoticed. The Lord sees you, too!

The angel of the LORD also said to her: "You are now pregnant and you will give birth to a son. You shall name him Ishmael, for the LORD has heard of your misery. He will be a wild donkey of a man; his hand will be against everyone and everyone's hand against him, and he will live in hostility toward all his brothers." She gave this name to the LORD who spoke to her: "You are the God who sees me," for she said, "I have now seen the One who sees me."

Our heavenly Father hears our cries. Scripture declares He is “… close to the brokenhearted and saves those who are crushed in spirit” (Psalm 34:18, NIV).

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for being the God who sees me. The God who loves me and accepts me even when it feels as though others don’t. Empower me to face this day confidently, knowing I belong to You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Psalm 83:18 KJV, “That men may know that thou, whose name alone is JEHOVAH, art the most high over all the earth.”

God is calling you to fight against worry, stress, anxiousness, and fear. Know that He has allowed this test so He can get the glory. Remember who you serve and who is working for you. Jehovah is His name. And surely, He will deliver.

Psalms 27:5-6 says, For in the day of trouble He will hide me in His shelter; in the secret place of His tent will He hide me; He will set me high upon a rock.

And now shall my head be lifted up above my enemies round about me; in His tent I will offer sacrifices and shouting of joy; I will sing, yes, I will sing praises to the Lord.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Sometimes I don’t always feel victorious, capable, or even equipped to fight and win against all the negative things that are thrown my way. Yet, during this test, I believe Your word, and I am confident that You, Great Jehovah, will deliver me out of every affliction, every trial, and every situation that arises to stop me from receiving what You have promised me. By faith, I thank You for my deliverance! In Jesus’ name, Amen.

Then the presidents and princes sought to find occasion against Daniel concerning the kingdom; but they could find none occasion nor fault; forasmuch as he was faithful, neither was there any error or fault found in him. ~Daniel 6:4

Refuse the spirit of error. Daniel was a man without error or fault. No matter how hard they searched, his excellence was undeniable. In Our journey with Jesus, sometimes we get tired, lost or discouraged. We can’t feel God’s love anymore. We hit a Wall, and our feelings cry out to turn back to what’s familiar and easier. But there’s a waterfall of grace just ahead!

What you need to understand from this story is that when you have a lot of mistakes happening around you, they are actually coming from within. When we look to Jesus as our trail guide on the journey of the soul, He helps us resist the temptation to turn back. You don’t always have to correct your outside mistakes; In fact, mistakes are simply an expression of your spirit. Invite the Holy Spirit today; who is Himself an excellent spirit to be the power behind everything that you do.

Prayer:
Dear Lord,
Strengthen me not to give up at the Wall or in any trial. Help me to know that You are with me, You love me and You love others through me. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?” James 3:11 (NIV)

James 3:11 asks a self-examination question: “Can both fresh water and salt water flow from the same spring?”

A basic science class would teach us that fresh water and salt water cannot come from the same spring. But James isn’t really speaking about water here; he’s talking about the soul. When you have a lot of mistakes happening around you, they are actually coming from within. And what is deep within us is normally what starts to flow from us. The words we speak matter. But what our words reveal matters just as much.

The entire chapter of James 3 offers us wisdom about our words. But may we hold closely our key verse today, reminding ourselves that when we take care of what is deep within us, something beneficial will flow from us. No matter what our words have sounded like in the past, today is a day we can decide to be different from this point forward. Invite the Holy spirit. This acknowledgement and this place of humility is where healing begins both internally and externally.

Prayer:
Dear God,
Thank You that we can say, “From this point forward, it will be different.” Thank You for the strength within us to move our words to a place of blessing no matter what the situation. Help us to get there today. Guide our words. Let what’s deep within be challenged so that what flows from us is good.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“Yet you, LORD, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand.” Isaiah 64:8 (NIV)

Are there any broken places in your heart and life right now?

I know how hard that can be.

But what about those times when things aren’t just broken … but shattered beyond repair? Shattered to the point of dust. At least when things are broken, there’s some hope you can glue the pieces back together. What if there aren’t even pieces to pick up in front of you? You can’t glue dust. Dust doesn’t have to signify the end. Dust is often what must be present for the new to begin.

I don’t know what hard realities have left you feeling shattered, friend. But I do know this: We can trust our God. We can trust Him with our dust. Our greatest disappointments and disillusionments — things that shake us and break us and make us wonder about everything — don’t have to mean all hope is lost. We can place our lives fully in the hands of the Potter. We can dare to believe He is making something glorious out of dust, out of us.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
I confess I don’t like this — I don’t like dust. But I’m reminding my soul that dust is one of Your favorite ingredients to use when making something new. And I’m choosing to believe You are working right now to do this very thing in my life.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Hearing God's Voice.

[07/14/21]   *Worship Wednesday:*

“But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.” James 1:22 (ESV)

God calls each of us to do big and sometimes scary things. Taking that first step of obedience might look like:

• Moving to a new place God is calling you to.
• Speaking up in a situation the Holy Spirit placed on your heart.
• Starting your own small group to lead others to Jesus. So don’t just sit idly by and listen to His Word — do what it says and do it well. Don’t just listen to the sermon, walk out the door and forget.

Be encouraged — go out into the world and do the hard things! When you feel that nudge on your heart to do something uncomfortable, or maybe even a little crazy, will you act on it? Will you let down your guard, step out and do the scary thing? I can tell you right now, there isn’t anything too big or too scary for our God. He’s writing your story … just let Him take the lead.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the opportunity to hear from You and for encouraging me toward the beautiful life You have for me. Please give me boldness to pursue the things You’ve placed on my heart, and comfort me when they feel like too much for me. I know that, with You, anything is possible. Help me be a doer of Your Word and not just a hearer.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“But Moses protested to God, ‘Who am I to appear before Pharaoh? Who am I to lead the people of Israel out of Egypt?’” Exodus 3:11 (NLT)

We all have a "calling" on our life. "Caking" does not signify pulpit... it signifies serving. Too often, we don’t think we are prepared enough or even qualified to do what God is asking. So we postpone the calling, waiting for the seemingly opportune time or when preparation — according to us — has been achieved.

Moses had a similar struggle. Maybe Moses forgot about the first half of his life. But God didn’t. God was preparing him for his calling. And God has prepared you for whatever He is calling you to do from the burning bush in your heart. You may just need a friend to jog your memory to see all of the ways God has been cultivating you. Even still, you may be overwhelmed. But the answer God gave to Moses is the same answer He gives to you: “I will be with you” (Exodus 3:12a, NLT). That’s all you need. God’s presence in your life completes your preparation to answer your calling. God is with you.

Prayer:
Dear Father,
Your promise to be with me is all that I need to courageously chase my calling, no matter the season. When I feel anxious or unprepared, send me a gentle reminder of Your powerful presence.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ.” Galatians 1:10 (NIV)

Hold up! Wait — what?! People in Bible times struggled with people-pleasing? Yes, they did. Let’s admit it, but there are so many times we give ourselves up to someone else’s will rather than boldly and bravely choose to do what would most please God. Now, of course, if what someone else desires is in line with God’s will, that’s altogether different. However, when we feel that twinge of tension, we must choose to prioritize pleasing God above pleasing people. We can determine to daringly speak truth while being careful to avoid hurting someone’s feelings. Let’s commit to seeking the Lord’s plan rather than pursuing the approval of others. It won’t always be easy, but God is continually faithful. He can teach us how to confidently live our lives despite the expectations and opinions of others.

Prayer:
Father,
Teach me that I am not solely responsible for the feelings of others. But I am responsible before You for my actions. Grant me boldness when I need it, and tender, direct words when they are necessary. May I learn to manage the tension between pleasing You and relating to others.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

“For God’s will was for us to be made holy by the sacrifice of the body of Jesus Christ, once for all time … For by that one offering he forever made perfect those who are being made holy” (Hebrews 10:10, 14, NLT).

While I am acutely aware of my sin and often feel so unworthy, Jesus’ sacrifice on the cross nullifies the consequences of my sin and overrides my feelings with truth. And the truth is that by accepting Jesus’ death on the cross for our sins, we are made holy, fulfilling God’s desire for us! Because the blood of the perfect Lamb makes us holy, we can enter into the Most Holy Place to meet with God directly. No more condemnation because Christ has reconciled us with the Father and made us accepted. We are no longer separated. We are wanted. We are loved. We are holy, forever united with God.

Prayer:
Dear Father,
Your extravagant love for us blows my mind. Thank You for Your grand plan to send Jesus to the cross to cover our sins. I’ll never fully comprehend how we are made holy in Your sight, but I choose to receive it, embrace it, yearn for it and walk in it.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

"Hope deferred makes the heart sick; but when dreams come true at last, there is life and joy." (Proverbs 13:12)

Remember - no matter what the critics say, in God's economy, everybody has a purpose, everyone has a talent, everyone has a spiritual gift and everybody has something of value to offer. Never give up until you know what your purpose is. Allow God to develop and sharpen your talents and your spiritual gifts in your life. Dedicate your talents and abilites to God. Take courage. Nothing you ever do for God will ever be in vain. Remember, too, that one of the greatest ways we can serve God is simply by helping others - and every one of us can do that every day. Also, as long as what you are doing is in harmony with God's will, then dream big dreams, because God will use your talents and spiritual gifts in His Kingdom work. Know your God-given dreams and keep hope alive, no matter what the setbacks - and never, ever, ever give up.

Prayer:
Dear God,
Please help me to know my God-given life purpose and dream. Help me to be faithful to your calling and keep hope alive so that I will never give up and in due course will receive the reward that comes from serving you. Thank you for hearing and answering my prayer.

Gratefully, in Jesus' name. Amen.

“These commandments that I give you today are to be on your hearts. Impress them on your children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.” Deuteronomy 6:6-7 (NIV)

In Deuteronomy Chapter 5, Moses summoned the entire Israelite community. Once gathered together, Moses read aloud the Ten Commandments “in [their] hearing” (Deuteronomy 5:1, NIV). He urged the people not to just obey these commands but to pass them on to the next generation. God wants us to take advantage of every moment we have with our children. They may not always appear to be listening, but we can trust that as we obey God’s command in Deuteronomy 6, He is allowing something to soak into their minds. We won’t always get it right, and that’s OK.

Keep praying, keep protecting, keep teaching and keep trusting God. He is faithful, “… keeping his covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his commandments” (Deuteronomy 7:9b, NIV). Kids will be kids … but parents still need to be parents. So buckle up and enjoy the ride.

Prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Teach us as we teach the next generation. I pray that Your Word spoken through our mouths will fall on good soil and will reap a harvest of godliness for generations to come. As King Solomon prayed, so we pray: Give us the wisdom that we might lead these great people. (2 Chronicles 1:10) We cannot do this in our own strength. We need You.

In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
