Empowering people in christ.
Mission: Extending the gospel of christ.
[08/01/20] Thank you, dear Father, for Jesus' promise that if I honor you and confess him on this earth, you will gladly honor me and call my name in the presence of your angels when the time comes for me to stand before your throne. In Jesus' name I thank you. Amen.
[07/23/20] Abba Father, calm my fears and sooth my anxious heart. By the power of your Spirit, please bless me with boldness and confidence as I seek to live for you in a world that is often hostile to my faith and opposed to your values. I ask this in the name of Jesus. Amen.
[07/12/20] Abba Father, thank you for listening to my words and my heart. Thank you for providing the Holy Spirit and my Savior Jesus as intercessors for me before your throne. Thank you for wanting me in your presence even when my heart is full of conflict and pain. Thank you for loving me through my brokenness and strife. Most of all, thank you for your promise of bringing me home to you to share in your glory. In Jesus' name. Amen.
[07/06/20] Father, thank you for redeeming and delivering me from the requirements of law and placing your Spirit in my heart to help me be more than I could ever be trying to obey the Law. In Jesus' name I praise you. Amen.
[07/02/20] Father God, you are glorious and awesome. Your rule is true, righteous, and eternal. You keep your promises and generously send forth your blessings. You alone are truly holy, awesome in your splendor and might. I praise you and thank you in the name of Jesus my Lord. Amen.
[06/29/20] Loving and gracious God, please soften my heart and toughen my resolve so that I can love as Jesus loved. Make my life redemptive, even to those who oppose, abhor, ridicule, and hate me. Use me, dear Father, to bring others to the grace of Jesus. In his name I pray. Amen
.. I will celebrate before the LORD.
2 Samuel 6:21
[06/16/20] Dear Father in Heaven, please empower me by your Holy Spirit, please make me bold because of your heavenly calling for me, and please inspire me to be spiritually courageous because of the example of Jesus. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
[06/12/20] Almighty LORD, please give me the eyes to see and the heart to be touched by those around me who need to see your goodness and grace through my compassion and concern. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
[06/01/20] Righteous Father, help me keep the dead and cast-away sin of my past far away from my heart and out of my life. May my life be a holy sacrifice that is pleasing to you. In the name of my Savior, Jesus, I pray. Amen.
God made him who had no sin to be sin for us, so that in him we might become the righteousness of God.
2 Corinthians 5:21
[05/17/20] Holy Father, have your way with my heart, my will, my life, and my time. I want to yield myself to you so that you can make me new and improved. I don't want to be satisfied with where you have brought me. No, dear Father, I want to become more like Jesus today, and each day of my life that follows. Thank you for your empowering grace. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
[05/01/20] My Father and My God! I need you! What can I do without you? Where can I go, what can I accomplish? I am genuinely powerless and need your help. Give me hope and faith. Show me the path. Protect and guard me. This prayer I send in the Mighty name of my King of Kings, Jesus Christ. Amen.
To our God and Father be glory for ever and ever. Amen.
[04/22/20] You are worthy, dear Father, of every word of praise my imagination can find and every word of thanks my tongue can pronounce. You are glorious, majestic, holy, mighty, and awesome. You are patient, forgiving, sacrificial, loving, and tender. You are more than I can imagine and closer than my very breath. Your greatness exhausts my vocabulary and your generosity overwhelms my heart. Please be glorified in my every thought, deed, and word. In Jesus' name I praise you. Amen.

My lord, O king, this is the woman.
2 Kings 8:5
Have you ever heard that timing is everything? In 2 Kings 4, Elisha is introduced to a Shunammite woman who generously provides food and a room for his use when he passed by Shunem. Elisha noted the woman’s kindness and desired to do something for her. Upon learning that she had no child, he called for the woman and told her that within a year she would have a son.
2 Kings 8:1-6
The story then jumps to a time when the boy is in the fields with his father and he becomes ill. He dies in his mother’s arms. This woman of faith sought Elisha, who ultimately raised the boy back to life. Later in 2 Kings 8, Elisha told her to take her family away from Israel because of an impending seven-year famine. She followed Elisha’s counsel, but upon her return to Israel, the ownership of her house had gone to others, so she appealed to the king. Once again, God’s perfect timing is seen. On that day, the king had an appointment with Elisha’s servant, Gehazi. The king said, “Tell me … all the great things Elisha has done” (2 Kings 8:4). As Gehazi recalled how Elisha raised the boy to life, the woman entered the room. Gehazi exclaimed, “this is the woman, and this is her son whom Elisha restored to life” (verse 5). It was perfect timing. The woman’s property was restored to her.
There are no coincidences when we are in the will of God—His timing is perfect.
There are no coincidences in our life, only God’s providence.

2 Kings 9-10
[04/07/20] Father, forgive me for trying to water down the significance of my sin. Use your Spirit to kindle in me a passion for holiness and please empower me to live in a way which honors you for all that you have done to save me. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
[02/18/20] Dear Father, when I sin, please help me see my sin as you do. Help my heart break over my sin when I've rebelled against you. I don't want to ever become callused or cold to your grace. I want to always appreciate the great cost you paid to redeem, to forgive, and to cleanse me with you grace. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen
[02/16/20] Thank you, O God, that you care that my soul thirsts with superhuman thirst. Thank you for providing your Living Water through the Holy Spirit to satisfy this longing deep within my soul. Help me see the deceptiveness of every false source of satisfaction so that I can find my thirst properly and fully satisfied in you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
[02/10/20] For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith — and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God — not by works, so that no one can boast. — Ephesians 2:8-9
Grounded in Truth
If we'll let the truths of Scripture fill our minds, guard our emotions, and influence our conduct, God will richly reward us. I'm talking about spiritual blessings here (though He at times chooses to bless materially as well). By reading and meditating on His Word, you'll learn to understand His ways. This isn't something we can figure out on our own, because His ways are unlike ours—they are higher, bigger, and eternal.
Also, your relationship with the Lord will grow increasingly more intimate because He chooses to reveal Himself to those who seek Him and obey His instructions. When you see that God always keeps His promises, your confidence in His faithfulness will soar. No matter what the situation, you'll know you can trust Him. Then He'll transform your worries into joyful anticipation about what He's going to do next in your life. Even if hard times await, you'll be convinced that the Lord will work them out for good.
A life grounded in truth is powerful. Those who live by the Word develop spiritual discernment, which guides their choices and guards against deception. Because they demonstrate wisdom and godliness, the Lord enables them to impact others greatly. Since He knows they can be trusted, He also gives them greater responsibilities and opportunities for service in His kingdom.
With all this available to us, wouldn't it be wise to invest our time and energy in building the truth of God's Word into our lives? The other activities which clamor for our attention seem so important or pleasurable, but none of them can offer us the spiritual riches of a life grounded in truth.
[01/15/20] Father, guard my path and give me good Christian friends who will help guard my life from evil. In addition, dear Father, please help me as I seek to share the cleansing and liberating power of Christ with those around me who are caught in evil's destructive and deceptive grasp. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
[01/04/20] Holy Father, your plan to save me overwhelms and humbles me. That you would send Jesus, the Word who created the world that I know, is more wonderful than I can fully grasp. That he would allow himself to be limited to the world he had made boggles my imagination. That he would die for me so that I can live with you captures my heart! Please help me as I seek to live my life based on his teachings and your will. In the name of Jesus, the Living Word, I pray. Amen.
[11/27/19] Generous and gracious God, thank you for blessing me in so many ways. Please use my life to be a blessing to others and a glory to you. In Jesus' name I pray. Amen.
Wondrous Father, LORD God Almighty, thank you so much for your generous blessings. O LORD, please make us a more joyful and happy people. For my Christian brothers and sisters in hardship, I pray for your deliverance, victory, and blessing. For those of us who have been richly blessed, I pray for us to have more appreciative and thankful hearts. Thank you for always hearing my prayers. In Jesus' name. Amen.
