Psalms 37:1-5;
Fret not yourself because of evildoers, neither be envious against those who work unrighteousness (that which is not upright or in right standing with God. it to pass.)
It may seem that God has left the wicked to prosper, but like sheep, he has prepared them for the day of slaughter. Therefore instead of envying the ungodly, it is better to have faith that when God speaks His Word to us, He brings it to pass in His perfect timing. So we need to continue praising Him whether we see what He is doing or not. This is because even if the ungodly may seem to be prospering, their end is always sudden destruction. In Psalms 37: 4, we are assured that the end matter of the righteous man will always be answered petition. It may not come at the time we want it because God’s timing is not our timing but it is a guarantee that it will come to pass. The end of the righteous man is prosperity, long life and other blessings that come with it. It is also possible to seek God in prayer concerning what you desire to know about the future because He willingly reveals it to His children. This all gives us hope and courage to endure the temporary hardships that come when we are waiting upon God to do that which we are believing Him to do.

PUTTING HOPE WITH IN REACH. Thank you Teen Challenge Uganda for your partnership!!

On Thursday we were able to share some learning materials with the children in the Kinawataka community.
Now they can do some revision and catch up on their studies. We will be working with their parents, older siblings and volunteers to follow up on them and assist them in learning.
Would you like to be a part of this?
Do let us know...

It does not take much to be a blessing to someone.

Earlier today we were in Kinawataka visiting homes and had a meeting with Pastors Ronnie and Richard (who have churches in this community), to figure out how best to support the children in this s*x worker community in their education.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic schools were closed and many children do not have the opportunity to access learning material online, on radio/TV or buy hard copies.

Would you like to join us? May be you are a teacher (or not) and can give some time to help these children, or can give a cash contribution or donate photocopying paper, books etc. Any help will go a long way in supporting the children. Pray for us too and for this initiative to be a success.

[05/18/20]   3 Ways Scripture Teaches Us We Can Increase Our Faith
By Rebecca Barlow Jordan

So then, faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God. - Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

How do you increase your faith? I used to struggle with this as a young Christian. But in time I’ve learned at least three simple ways to help build and increase our reliance on God.

1. Read the Word

Reading or hearing God’s Word is like planting a garden. If you want to grow or “build” a garden, you must first plant the seeds, or the actual plant or flower. God’s Word is the seed that grows the faith. Knowing His promises, what God says about you, about life, and about Jesus’ plan for eternal life won’t transplant themselves into your brain by osmosis. Become familiar with the Bible and what faith is all about by meditating on its contents. This will give you the basis for growing or increasing your faith.

2. Heed the Word

James 1:22-24 (NKJV) offers a second way to increase your faith: But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves.

If we fail to heed what we’re reading and ignore what God is telling us, then our faith grows stagnant. It took faith for us to become children of God in the first place. Therefore, in order to grow and increase our faith, we need to use that “measure” of faith God gives to everyone and build on it.

3. Test the Word

There is a difference in “testing” God by “contesting” Him (seeing how far God’s patience will go with your own self will) and “testing,” or proving God’s Word is true. Malachi 3:9-11 (NIV) offers one practical way God says we can prove Him faithful to His Word. This passage concerns tithing and being good stewards of the things He has given us: Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it.” As you “test” or act on what God says and experience God’s blessing, your faith grows.

The process of testing the measure of faith you have may involve trials and difficulties. How can you increase your faith in those circumstances? Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance (James 1:2-3, NIV).

Those who understand what Christianity truly is know that Jesus Christ did not die so that we will just be going to a building called "church" every Sunday. He died so that we will become the church. We are the salt of the earth not the salt of any building called 'church'.

Yes! we need those buildings for the purpose of fellowships with one and another as we are admonished not to forget the gathering of fellow saints. However, in times like this when we are not able to gather, as usual, we must not be discouraged. WE ARE THE CHURCH!

This is one of those times when God will know His TRUE WORSHIPPERS. If you don't have the word of God inside of you, you may be discouraged or begin to question many things. But those that know there God remain strong in times of trouble. Remember without tests there will be no testimonies.

Let the word of God that you have heard for many years transform your life and make you a great ambassador for Jesus Christ.

However, you have not been taught well all these years, you can still pick up your Bible and ask the Holy Spirit to give you inspiration as you study the word of God.

Remember, what you know will determine what you believe and What you believe will determine how you live. If you believe right, you will live right. If you believe wrong, you will live wrong. Therefore, it's very important to study to show yourself approved.

Do not be dismayed. God has the record of always separating His own people in times of plagues. He can not fail us this time. Let's not fail Him too. He is seeking for those who will worship Him in spirit and in truth.

Remain Blessed! 🙏

Let me take this opportunity to thank you all, due to the communication from our president about temporary stop to church gathering in order to monitor the corona virus we shall not open the church for 32 days but encourage every one to have personal prayers at your houses. And our weekly services are going to be conducted in home cells of not more than 10 people as the president said. And online, here on WhatsApp. Let's not fear, God is still in control. Blessings!!

Blessed be the Lord we serve Our service went well,we honor you Lord

[03/05/20]   In the morning, Lord, you hear my voice. Psalms 5:3

When you wake up in the morning, what’s the first thing you do? Grab your phone and scroll through Instagram? Check texts and emails? Check the news?

Those first 5 minutes can set the tone for your whole day. How do your choices during that time make you feel? Stressed? Anxious? Like you’re falling behind, even before you’re out of bed?

What if you invited God to speak into your day first? Tomorrow, before you do anything else:

1. Pray a simple prayer.
Maybe something like this:

Heavenly Father, please provide for my family’s needs today. But please give me more than food, Lord — please speak to me through Your Word. And help me to hear Your voice. Amen.

2. Read or listen to Verse of the Day, noting anything that stands out.
We’ll use this verse as an example:

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.

1 JOHN 4:7

Examples of notes you might take:

– Who are my “one anothers”?

– Love comes from God

– I must “know God” to be able to truly love

3. Think about how you can apply what God shows you.
Here are some ideas for our example verse:

– Today, I should encourage a friend

– Could I join a group at my church and connect with other Jesus followers?

– Can I provide a meal for someone who’s going through a tough time?

4. To finish, pray again.
This time, ask God to help you with whatever He showed you today. For example:

Father, thank you for Your perfect love. Please show me ways I can begin to know You better. Help me love people the way You do. Please show me what You want me to do next. Thank you, Lord. Amen.

That’s it! You can use this same technique every day—with any passage of Scripture. Or, even better, subscribe to Verse of the Day, and every day the Bible App can help remind you to put God and His voice first. With love from your servant Pr. Richard Tumwesigye @⁨Freedom Centre Cathedral

Topic: Tithing as worship!

In Scripture, “tithing as worship” was practiced prior to both the establishment of “tithing as covenant” and the perversion of “tithing as legalism.” The principle of “tithing as worship” is “pre-Law.” It’s established in Genesis 14:17-24 where Abram gives a tenth of his plunder to Melchizedek, King of Salem. Melchizedek, in turn, blesses Abram. Hebrews 7:1-10 defines the significance of these acts, declaring that it is the superior who blesses the inferior, and the inferior who pays tithes to the superior.

“Tithing as worship,” then, is first an act by which we acknowledge that God is both our superior (the Sovereign Lord) and the source of all blessing.

But “tithing as worship” does more than acknowledge God. It expresses our personal allegiance to Him. We see this in Genesis 28:10-22. Here, God reveals Himself to Jacob in a dream. In response, the patriarch vows, “the Lord shall be my God…and of all that you give me I will give a full tenth to you.” For Jacob, the “tithe as worship” became a natural expression of his decision to follow the God of His Fathers. In the same way, the “tithe as worship” becomes an almost instinctive way for us to express our allegiance to the God of our Salvation.

A third, and critical, element of “tithing as worship” is thanksgiving. “Tithing as worship” expresses overflowing gratitude toward God. It breaks free from guilt as the motivation for giving. Its ultimate focus is the condition of one’s heart—not the percentage of one’s income.

On the topic of percentages, I find the words of John H. Walton and Andrew E. Hill to be practical. They write,

“How are we to show our gratitude to God other than by giving back a portion? If 10 percent was considered an acceptable portion by God as an expression of gratitude then, why should we view it any differently today? To be continued....!! 29/02/2020

I can only look back over this past week and simply say - thank you Lord for the joy of seeing so many people come into a real and living relationship with You. As a team we have, on a one to one basis led just under 100 people to the Lord, both young and old, responding to the Good News of Jesus, and sown hundreds of seeds. Here at Kabale some people were inside the church structure but as many, or more stood outside, many leaning through the openings in the structure. We also broke into groups for targeted teaching and I had the privilege of addressing church leaders and pastors.

Happy birthday Brother Musa. We love you as members of freedom center
