GOD WITH US : DONOT BE ANXIOUS

Todays message from canon Joyce Nima. Be blessed.

[04/25/20]   Today's Word:
Then Jesus declared, "I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry, and he who believes in me will never be thirsty." John 6:35

Jesus satisfies our hunger. What is your hunger? What are you anxious about?
The Bible promises "he who believes in me (Jesus Christ) will never be thirsty.
Lift your heart to Jesus, he satisfies, he quenches our thirst!

Praying that you will rest in God's peace that surpasses our anxieties.

Cheers!

[04/21/20]   BELIEVERS INSPIRATION.

Look well to yourself [to your own personality] and to [your] teaching; persevere in these things [hold to them], for by so doing you will save both yourself and those who hear you.
1 Timothy 4:16 AMPC

SUNDAY 19-04-2020

[04/12/20]   Hallelujah, Christ is Risen!
Wishing you all a reflective Easter in your homes!
*
1Corinthians 15:20-26
"But Christ has indeed been raised from the dead, the firstfruits of those who have fallen asleep. For since death came through a man, the resurrection of the dead comes also through a man. For as in Adam all die, so in Christ all will be made alive. But each in his own turn: Christ, the firstfruits; then, when he comes, those who belong to him. Then the end will come, when he hands over the kingdom to God the Father after he has destroyed all dominion, authority and power. For he must reign until he has put all his enemies under his feet. The last enemy to be destroyed is death.
*
Christ's resurrection gives us hope beyond our life here on earth. In Christ who resurrected we have life eternally. We are assured of our resurrection at the end of time!
Death will finally be defeated because of the Risen Christ.
As you remember His resurrection, I commend you into His resurrection power that is able to transform you and give you a new hope eternally.
May the Risen Christ reign in you!!!

Happy Easter,

Nze,
MM Tendo

PALM SUNDAY MESSAGE 5/4/20

TRIUMPH OR LAMENTATION.
Ps. 2:1-12 Matthew 21:1-17
Praise the Name of our gracious Lord and King: Grace, peace, mercy and love to you all.
Today, as we may be aware is Palm Sunday according to the Christian calendar. The standard definition of Palm Sunday is the day we celebrate the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem (Matthew 21:1–11, which happens one week before His resurrection (Easter). Palm Sunday precedes the Holy/Passion Week. It marks the beginning of Jesus’ last days on earth that are to a large extent characterised by agony, but ending in a glorious victory because Jesus triumphantly accomplishes the work of salvation that was His purpose on earth.
Many of us are used to celebrating this day and season without actually reflecting on the true meaning of Jesus’ entry. It was a double-edged triumph over sin and the defeat of Satan who thought he had the world in his hands. Jesus who was despised and never understood was yet to be declared ‘King of All’, not only believers, but all. Jesus is given a name above all names to which every knee bows and every tongue confesses as LORD (Phil. 2:5-11).
Key lessons from the Bible Texts
1. Matt. 21:2 – Jesus is sending us out to fulfil the Great Commission and wants us to listen in obedience to His instructions, and faithfully reach out to the people we have been sent to.
2. In fulfilling God’s purpose for our lives, let us do it with humility (v.5), throwing off all pride and power, but carrying our own cross and understanding the burden at such a time like this.
3. V.9 – we shall continue to sing our song of praise, shout Hosanna to Jesus, the King of kings and Lord of lords.
4. Psalm. 2 – Teaches us about the rebellious nature of nations that think their power can earn them anything, and how God will bring wrath to terrify them, but also set His King, our Lord Jesus Christ to establish His eternal reign. V.4 shows that we are limited as nations and humans, and hence we must serve the Lord with fear and trembling if we are to enjoy our lives (v.8, 9), or else His wrath will consume us (v.11).
5. Matt. 21:12-17, we see Jesus’ anger against the moneychangers who cheat others, more so in the name of God. Let our own hearts condemn us of taking advantage of others especially when they are in desperate situations. Today we have many false teachers taking advantage of people who come to seek their God, and during this COVID-19 season many double-dealers have been identified. Hope you are not one of them!!!
6. The Good News is that Jesus is more than available to help those who are oppressed. And for the double-minded and dealers, you still have an opportunity right now to repent and fully surrender your life to Christ.
Conclusion: Jesus is returning to find and give full salvation/ eternal life to the faithful, righteous, prayerful and repentant individuals. He is returning also to totally wipe out of His Father’s house all ‘robbers’ and deal with sin in a final blow. It will either be triumph or lamentation depending on how you choose to live your life. This is a double edged celebration, bringing to an end all sin, and bringing salvation. May you bring to an end this minute all behaviour that interferes with true worship for our Lord and Saviour.
Like the blind and lame who received their healing when Jesus entered the temple (v.14), my prayer for each one of you is that Jesus will heal you at your point of need –sickness, poverty, unemployment, lack of peace, sin, etc. May our triumph with Christ Jesus last beyond this COVID-19 forever till Jesus returns!.
Palm Sunday is all about God’s business and so let this season cause us to reflect on the suffering our Lord Jesus Christ had to go through so that you and I can receive eternal life. Let our relationship reflect total surrender to His Lordship. Take time this Passion Week to reflect on your similarities with Jesus Christ and iron out the differences.
Discussion Questions
If Jesus was to return today, how would He find your heart? Would it be a triumphal celebration or lamentation?
In what practical ways would you serve the Lord with fear and trembling (Ps.2:11)? Describe how you would understand Jesus’ triumphal entry in your heart, and/or your home, and/or your nation today. TO GOD BE THE GLORY.
May God watch over you and make His face shine upon you; may He grant you peace and bless you all now and forever. AMEN.
With lots of love from
Rev. Beatricie Nalubega Kasule.
