Proverbs 8:17 NLT I love all who love me. Those who search will surely find me.

Solomon is saying that God will fill the hearts of those who love Him with His presence and if you seek Him early you will discover His hidden secrets. Hidden mysteries or secrets of God are like the taste of food. It is difficult to describe it to someone who has never tasted it. You can not describe in words exactly what it is, it is hidden. Hence you can see the mysteries or secret of God in Scripture, you can read it and you can even hear teaching on it, but until you actually “taste” it or experience it, it remains a hidden mystery until He fills it to you with His presence.

Wishing you a blessed day ahead.

Isaiah 48:17 NKJV Thus says the LORD, your Redeemer, The Holy One of Israel: " I [am] the LORD your God, Who teaches you to profit, Who leads you by the way you should go.

Scripture says I am the Lord your God who "teaches" you how to profit. You see, there are times when we are not teachable. We want to take the easy route or do things our own way. As christians, we don’t do things because we are quite happy with our routine.

Jesus says he came to bring abundant life (John 10:10). This life is not just a promise of eternal life but the fact that our lives can be filled to the fullest. We can be satisfied in life if we just follow Him. Jesus said, “Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:29).

In our spiritual walk it is understanding that God is the teacher who knows and understands what is best for us. We follow Him in the whole program, not just the bits and pieces that we want to follow.

In all things, It is a matter of getting yourself out of the way and let the Master lead you. But the real question is this, “Are you teachable?”

Wishing you a blessed day ahead.

James 4:6 NKJV But He gives more grace. Therefore He says: [" God resists the proud,] [But gives grace to the humble."]

Sometimes, it’s difficult to tell when people are proud, because pride is of the heart. Only God’s Word can diagnose pride in the heart of a man. As you study, meditate or listen to God’s Word; it x-rays your heart to reveal what’s therein. If there’s pride or something that’s not right, the Word will reveal it for you to make the necessary changes.

The Bible says, “For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart” (Hebrews 4:12).

God’s Word discerns the thoughts and intents of the heart. In 1 Samuel 16:7, it says, “…man looketh on the outward appearance, but the LORD looketh on the heart.” Don’t wait for someone to accuse you of being proud. Use the Word to examine yourself.

Proverbs 30:32 NKJV If you have been foolish in exalting yourself, Or if you have devised evil, [put your] hand on [your] mouth.

Here we find a proverb about keeping our mouths shut. Putting your hand to your mouth is a gesture of awestruck, self-imposed silence. "One way to keep your foot out of your mouth is to keep your mouth covered." This proverb means that you can quickly end conflict by simply holding your hand over your mouth. But usually pride and arrogance get in the way and keep us from backing down and admitting error.

We cannot find anywhere in the Bible where God says, “If only my people would talk more.” Instead, over and over, we are told to remain quiet unless we are very sure we have something important to say: “If anyone among you thinks he is religious, and does not bridle his tongue but deceives his own heart, this one’s religion is useless” (James 1:26).

A blessed day friends.

James 1:23-24 NKJV For if anyone is a hearer of the word and not a doer, he is like a man observing his natural face in a mirror; for he observes himself, goes away, and immediately forgets what kind of man he was.

The moment some people walk away from the mirror, they forget the image of themselves they had just seen. Sadly, this happens to Christians too. When this happens, they tend to forget what they just learnt from the Word.

God’s Word is a mirror, and just as you see your reflection when you look into a mirror, God’s Word shows you who you are, what you have and what you can do in Christ Jesus.

As you look into the mirror of God daily, practice what you’ve learnt immediately. As you do, you won’t be “…a forgetful hearer but a doer of the work…” (James 1:25).

A good day ahead saints

Proverbs 2:1-5 NKJV My son, if you receive my words, And treasure my commands within you, So that you incline your ear to wisdom, [And] apply your heart to understanding; Yes, if you cry out for discernment, [And] lift up your voice for understanding, If you seek her as silver, And search for her as [for] hidden treasures; Then you will understand the fear of the LORD, And find the knowledge of God.

Solomon tells his son, and us that there are hidden treasures to be discovered by burrowing into Scripture, just as old-time miners burrowed into mines looking for veins of gold. If we will spend time digging for the veins of gold found only in God’s Word, they will slowly but surely change our lives, filling us with wisdom, understanding, and discernment.

We are told to “treasure” Scripture, and that means something more than casually examining it. These sayings from the Holy Spirit must be taken in, stored, and carefully meditated on in our hearts and minds, over and over again. Since God does not change He is still infinitely more accessible to earnest seekers. The diligent and honest hunter, searching carefully through God’s Word, is rewarded with more and more insight into the nature, attributes, and power of God.

A blessed week y'all

Ecclesiastes 9:10 NKJV Whatever your hand finds to do, do [it] with your might; for [there is] no work or device or knowledge or wisdom in the grave where you are going.

When Solomon said, “Whatever your hand finds to do,” he was acknowledging that there is always work to be done. Charles Spurgeon said, “One good deed is worth more than a thousand brilliant theories.” This challenges us to grab hold of the ordinary responsibilities of each day and simply make sure they get done.

It’s easy for most of us to live in a dreamland of maybe tomorrow or someday we’ll get around to doing the things we need to do. But see, none of us is guaranteed tomorrow; we only have today. We can’t go back and relive yesterday, correcting its mistakes. How much better to simply take this day in-hand and do it with our might, rather than waste hours dreaming about what we would rather be doing.

Not only are we to do whatever lies close at hand, but we are to do it with earnestness, in other words whatever we do, we should do it heartily, with enthusiasm, with passion, with zeal, and with 100% commitment. If your job is shoveling manure, then do your best and shovel that manure for the glory of God.

If we do what we are supposed to do well each day, we honor God. So we who serve God, should attempt something so great for Him today that it is doomed to failure unless He is in it.

A happy weekend y'all

Ecclesiastes 11:1 NKJV Cast your bread upon the waters, For you will find it after many days.

Solomon tells us, his readers, to take life as from the hand of God, and to risk a little, despite life’s storms and tribulations. Just like a farmer who takes a venture in faith every time he puts good seed into the ground, so we should be involved in ventures of faith in our own lives. As we go through this life, we are to be constantly looking for opportunities to spiritually plant what we have received from the Lord. Many times, perhaps most times, it will seem wasted, but God sees and often intervenes. Then one day, it will spring forth, vibrant and alive.

The Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 9:6: “He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.

A good day friends.
