DO NOT WORRY
Mathews 6:25-30
25 “Therefore I tell you, do not worry about your life, what you will eat or drink; or about your body, what you will wear. Is not life more than food, and the body more than clothes? 26 Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? 27 Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?
28 “And why do you worry about clothes? See how the flowers of the field grow. They do not labor or spin. 29 Yet I tell you that not even Solomon in all his splendor was dressed like one of these. 30 If that is how God clothes the grass of the field, which is here today and tomorrow is thrown into the fire, will he not much more clothe you—you of little faith?

KINDLY SUPPORT THE WORKS OF A FALLEN YOUNG HERO TO SECURE A SUSTAINABLE BRIGHT FUTURE FOR THE VULNERABLE POOR CHILDREN.
It was so touching when the children gathered again to pray, share memories of AJ and try to meditate on what to do after being denied to access school to study for failure to pay schools fees and other requirements.
In 2016, AJ arrived in Uganda with an idea to build an agriculture education center in Northern Uganda to help refugees, thus due to his generosity and compassion for vulnerable children, he moved with Roman in Eastern Uganda to extend his support to the underprivileged children whom he was supporting with funds for school fees, feeding, clothes and other education materials until his last breath. Right now the education progress for Elijah Kidyanga, Adison Kitenga and Michael Mwidu whom he was sponsoring seem to be in limbo after the demise of their caring hero AJ who passed away on 15th August, 2020 and laid to rest in Colorado, USA at the young age of 28years. Schools have opened in Uganda since their closure in March,2020 due to COVID-19 pandemic however, the three children were denied access to study. It's so worrying that the mission of securing a bright future for these charming innocent souls seems to be dieing since we had not yet set a sustainable income. It's upon this brief that we kindly seek for your support to raise $1,500 towards education.100% of funds raised will go directly on paying school fees and other school requirement.

MEMORIES OF AJ SHORT"
Theme: "Celebrating AJ's Life and Caring for Vulnerable Community" (Proverbs 29:7, Romans 8:18)

AJ Short (Anthony John Short) So loving, adoring, selfless, kind, generous, hardworking, God-reliant and amazing soul who loved to see a smile on everyone, provider friend and brother of so many worldwide, whom this Earth was graced by his presence, Left this Earth on Saturday, 15th day of August, 2020 at a young age of 28years old after a life of selfless services, charity missions, generosity, adventurous and so caring to vulnerable people with God's care.

AJ" loved the people he served with all his life" (Galatians 6:8-10)
AJ "loved Jesus with all his life". And one important thing to note, AJ knew that one day, he will be put to rest and goes to meet the Lord to live a life where no suffering at all, a scripture tatoo of Romans 8:18 on his chest could tell it all.

Today marks the first Sunday since he was put to rest forever on 25th August, 2020 in his home state of Colorado, USA. We decided to share his memories, to celebrate his life and charity services to vulberable people in the communities of Uganda.

AJ Short Memories, posted by AJ on 22nd December, 2016 RIP bro, in safe arms of the Lord (Romans 8:18)

What a blessing to be able to serve Nawanpiti Village! We were able to meet with community leaders, share the gospel, give out shoes, and spend time with some of the most precious families. Our time with one of these families has been highlighted below.

Florence, a widow we were brought to, lives in a hut she constructed herself on land someone else has let her use. She, and 5 children live, sleep, cook and eat there. At first, she was embarrassed to allow us in but with Roman's encouragement she invited us to enter. The hut is probably 10ft in diameter, you can't stand in it and although it has a thatched roof, which obviously only provides marginal cover from rain. The deteriorated aluminum door offers no safety from wild animals or dangerous intruders. The family of six share one cup for drinking and use an old grain sack for protection from the rain and coldness. When asked about her means of making money, she said when she has energy, she'll go by the lake and cut the reeds, used for thatching roofs, and sale them. However, because she is HIV positive, she isn't strong enough to work right now. She then reached behind the water pot and showed us the potato that she has borrowed. Yes, the single potato, that she is still indebted for.
In our conversation she explained how it is hard to progress, when the house you don't even own, allows you and your kids to get sick, because it leaks whenever it rains. "If I owned a home at least I'd have something to start with..."
Humbling is an understatement. Immediately you want to stand and begin fixing her roof, to run and buy a months' worth of groceries, to bring her to the hospital and tell them they have to make her well! But non of that sustains. It's not a solution, it's a bandage. A temporary patch that will need to be replaced again and again.
Instead we gave her something that actually can last. By washing the children's feet, blessings them with shoes, and we share the Love of Jesus with her family. We leave them with the truth of Gospel that is hope for everyone.
We are just man, and cannot save people. That is a job only Jesus is qualified for. So our priority is to give the light of Christ. And as Jesus allows will attend to the physical needs.
I was encouraged to hear later that the widow said how she never thought she'd have a muzungu (white person) in her house. That, because a muzungu has actually been there, God must be at work.
I am blessed to know that just my being in her home was a sign that Jesus is alive and at work in her life!
Because of time we only managed to reach few. But we are determined to return to give God's love and preach the gospel dependent upon the financial support.
