House on the Hill is a vibrant church that loves God, loves people and lives life with passion.
NCLC is a vibrant church that loves God, loves people and lives life with passion. Led by Pastors Jon and Dee Cook we're building an awesome church (and Kids Church) that'll help put a smile the face of Mwanza. At NCLC you can expect a great welcome, extravagant, modern worship and Bible-based teaching that's relevant to your everyday life. As Christians we believe we are called to reach out to the poor, the marginalised and those who society has cast aside. We have a responsibility to begin writing a new story in and through their lives. This is a story of hope, of value and worth, where people are not only loved but also believed in. Where the individual – the one- is to be celebrated for who they are and given the opportunity to contribute to the transformation of their world. This is why we are going to Mwanza,Tanzania, this summer. And we won't be going-it-alone. Believing in the power of connection we have carefully selected local organisations to partner with such as Bridge2aid – a well-established dental charity. A key focus will be working with them at Bukumbi Care Centre, located just outside of Mwanza, on some innovative community development and micro-enterprise initiatives. We passionately believe that the answer to socio-economic problems encountered in Tanzania can be found in the unlocked potential of the Tanzanian people. If we can help create an environment of belief, hope and value where we can teach and equip Tanzanian nationals to build and develop dormant entrepreneurial skills – then a nation will be impacted by the very people who call it home. The Bukumbi Care Centre has become a haven of support and care for some of the most marginalised people of Tanzania. In biblical terms the people thought of as 'the least of these' – the very ones Jesus calls us to care for. Some residents are there because of illness and disability, some simply because they are albino and face mutilation or death because of this. In partnering with Bridge2aid, and with your support, we believe we can bring something new and vital into an already thriving project creating an environment to impact many more lives. We’ll also be contributing to other projects too, including Kuleana – an amazing project helping street children and the Forever Angels orphanage, to name just two.
Mission: To reach and influence the world by building a large Christ-centred, Bible-based Church, changing mindsets and empowering people to lead and impact in every sphere of life.
