Easter Greetings can you please send me the Masses so i can follow thanks
Good afternoon to all parishioners especially the hard-working team who work tirelessly during this pandemic. However, it's been a couple of days now I wanted to write about my disappointment and disgust with the way registration for Triduum Masses were done. A Whatsapp message was sent out on Friday 26th March, 2021 advising that the link for registration for mass will be sent on Monday 29th March, 2021. Knowing there are limited spaces I called the office on Friday 29th to find out if I can register and was told "no" and asked if I was a parishioner (not sure what's the connection) and said registration starts on Monday. So Monday came and I called the office at about 10.05 am only to be told "all mass times are fully booked" except for 6.00 am on Good Friday. What's interesting is I usually register online but because this is an occasion where there are large turn outs hence the reason for trying to do it on the Friday. Not sure why my information couldn't have been taken. My family and I will surely receive Easter Blessings from the comfort of my home. Have a Holy and Blessed Easter.

I support parents who come to Mass with their disruptive kids. They do not interfere with my Mass experience in the slightest. In fact, I too was a disruptive kid and my Mother made certain I was there every weekend. I grew with the Church thanks to her and took my own disruptive kids and now they are growing with the Church. Jesus never discriminated nor got annoyed, and it is His house. All are welcome. So don’t listen to the naysayers. I for one support you.
Hello, does anyone have the Mass schedule for Holy Week at St Paul’s? What are the Mass times for tomorrow?

🕇The Paschal candle is a rich symbol of our faith. It reaches its pinnacle at Easter. Each year during the Easter Vigil service on Holy Saturday night, a fire is kindled in a metal bowl, called a brazier (bray’-zhur). From the brazier comes a “new” and blessed fire that lights the Paschal candle which is carried in procession into the dark church. The “new” fire serves as an image of the Resurrection. The candle, which represents Christ himself, is placed on a special Paschal candle stand near the altar. Five grains of incense are inserted into the candle to recall the aromatic spices that were used to prepare Christ’s body for the tomb, and the wounds in His hands, feet and side, which remained after His resurrection. But... the Easter season doesn't end after the Octave of Easter: Because Easter is the most important feast in the Christian calendar, even more important than Christmas, the Easter season continues on for 50 days, through the Ascension of Our Lord to Pentecost Sunday, seven full weeks after Easter Sunday! The candle remains in the Sanctuary on its special candle stand during the full 50 days of the Easter season, and is lit for liturgical services during that time. After Pentecost the candle will be placed next to the baptismal font. The candle is lit during all baptisms throughout the year, passing the light of Christ to each person baptized, starting with the Catechumens at the Easter Vigil service. The candle may also be used at funeral services, and placed next to the casket during a funeral Mass. At funeral services it is a reminder that the sacrament of Baptism is itself a death and resurrection in Christ, and testifies to Christian certainty in the resurrection of the dead and life with Christ in the world to come.

Can you do it ?

Archbishop: Cut back on social media, TV, food for holy week - Trinidad and Tobago Newsday RC Archbishop The Most Rev Jason Gordon has urged believers of Christ to keep the week of Easter holy. In doing so, he said people should consider “cutting back” on distractions including television and social media, among other things, and focus on God. He delivered a sermon at the Our Lady of ...

We must all act responsibly in respect of the COVID-19 Guidelines, thereby ensuring that we do not create risks for our parishioners and the wider public by replacing the official guidelines with our own rules.
Some Holy Week guidelines include:
1) Holy Thursday- The Washing of Feet which was previously optional in the Guidelines has now been amended to state that it is omitted.

2) Good Friday - For Good Friday processions are not allowed. “The Way of the Cross can only be held inside the church. Those in attendance must remain in their pew.” Veneration of the Cross “could be done in the traditional manner, only by the priest(s).” Members of the congregation processing to venerate the cross must maintain the six-foot distancing and bow or genuflect.

3) Holy Saturday - During Mass the congregation remains in the pews. “Only the minister and servers are allowed around the fire for the lighting.”
