The Diocese of Mati joins the entire Catholic Church in the Philippines celebrating the RED WEDNESDAY on November 24, 2021, an annual celebration remembering and praying for the martyrs and our brothers and sisters all over the world who are being persecuted because of their faith.

As a way of support, those who will attend the Mass tomorrow, Wednesday, are encouraged to wear red-colored clothing which signifies the essence and the meaning of the celebration.

As we celebrate the 500 Years of Christianity in our country, let us always remember that THERE WILL BE NO 500 YEARS OF JUBILEE WITHOUT 500 YEARS OF SUFFERING.

All Saints' Day

Dear holy saints of God,
we join our prayers of praise
to yours this day.
With you, we sing of God's
goodness, rejoice in God's mercy
and celebrate God's
incredible love.
Teach us to live as you lived-
always thinking of others,
always recognizing our weaknesses,
always rejoicing in God's gifts,
always closely following Jesus.
Blessed are you, happy are you,
all you holy saints of God.
Pray for us that we,too,
may someday be among
God's Holy Ones.
Amen.

“Ang simbahang Katoliko nagpakitag dakong tahod, pagrespeto sa Birhen Maria" [The Catholic Church shows great honor, respect to the Virgin Mary]. These were the words that by Most Rev. Abel C. Apigo D.D reflected during the Eucharistic Mass to commemorate the conclusion of the 2021 Month of Rosary in honor of the Blessed Virgin Mary, at the San Nicolas de Tolentino Cathedral of the Diocese of Mati, today October 30, 2021, after a motorcade done around the City of Mati Proper.

The Eucharistic Celebration was presided together with the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish Rector Rev. Fr. Ricardo Siblos, DCM, Rev. Fr. Donald V. Fernandez, DCM and Bro. Bryan B. Permejo.
“Gasa gayud kay sa mga balita nagsugod nag baba ang kaso sa COVID-19…padayon ang pag-ampo sa Oratio Imperata”, Bishop Apigo pleaded. He also reminded the faithful to keep on praying the rosary for wars for the transmission of COVID-19 to be stopped.
“Ang kabubut-on sa Diyos mao atong buhaton” [The will of God shall be our duty], the bishop added.

Bishop Apigo also took his time to express his gratitude during his homily to the people who have recited the rosary every 5:00 in the morning on the San Nicolas de Tolentino Parish. He also reminded the religious to ask for strengthening our lives from the Blessed Mother.
The culminating event was participated by people from different Gagmay'ng Kristohanong Katilingban or GKK, with their representatives dressed up in honor of their patrons for the upcoming All Saints’ Day on November 2.

The Eucharistic Celebration was concluded through offering of flowers to the Blessed Mother, followed by Rev. Fr. Siblos who expressed his appreciation to Mati City Police, to the Diocese, and the religious for the success of the Culminating Activity.

Feast of St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Virgin and Doctor of the Church

MIRACULOUS INVOCATION TO ST. THERESE

O glorious Saint Therese, whom almighty God has raised up to aid and counsel mankind, I implore your Miraculous Intercession. So powerful are you in obtaining every need of body and soul our Holy Mother Church proclaims you a “Prodigy of Miracles...the Greatest Saint of Modern times.” Now I fervently beseech you to answer my petition (mention here) and to carry out your promises of spending Heaven doing good upon earth...of letting fall from Heaven a Shower of Roses. Henceforth, dear Little Flower, I will fulfill your plea” to be made known everywhere” and I will never cease to lead others to Jesus through you. Amen

O Little Therese of the Child Jesus,
please pick for me a rose from the heavenly gardens
and send it to me as a message of love.
O Little Flower of Jesus,
ask God today to grant the favors
I now place with confidence in your hands....
(mention specific requests)
St. Therese, help me to always believe,
as you did, in God's great love for me
so that I might imitate your "Little Way" each day.
Amen.

St. Therese of the Child Jesus, Pray for us
