Date: April 12-14

[06/28/15]   If indeed the "LGBT" society, after thinking "love has won", has impersonated the crucified Messiah--who wasn't gay by the way--can Christians--I'm addressing Christians specifically--stay silent when the world is openly mocking the Bridegroom of the church and His words and works--particularly His death for His bride?

The world has AGAIN redefined L-O-V-E to fit its own satisfaction when God Himself IS love and the source of it.
Yes we long for the day of reckoning to come, when all evil will be extinguished from the earth and only righteousness will dwell. Yes our God does not need to be defended for He is King and Judge, like it or not. He even has a purpose for this. Yes we are--and should be--mad with a righteous anger, and sad with the kind of sorrow God has for sin.

But we are also called to speak the truth to others--not discriminating "LGBT"--in love, remembering that we were once lost and rebellious sinners like they, and God saved us. It will not be easy--and for some even loving these people is not easy--and we can and should expect GREAT persecutions--be it verbal or physical--for His sake because of this, but even Paul was not ashamed of the gospel for it is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. God's grace is not so weak that it cannot save the worst of sinners.

So no we can't afford to be silent. If I may quote John MacArthur, he says in one article,

"Our Christian responsibility goes beyond abstaining from the 'deeds of darkness.' We are also called to expose them. To ignore evil is to encourage it, and to keep quiet about it is to help promote it."

SHOCKER! Pope Calls Jesus and the Bible a LIE!

Can we keep silent about the Pope and his clearly anti-biblical claims? He's becoming more active compared to the previous popes. Why shouldn't true Christians be too?

Cebuano Sinulog

http://www.sgbccebu.com/sinulog.htm

sgbccebu.com "The Sinulog is a religious activity and festivity. Therefore it must be pleasing and glorifying to God." Perhaps that is what you are thinking. Maybe that is the reason why you [join] the festivity. But think again. Not all religious activities and festivities are pleasing to God. In fact, He hates…

Philippians 3...

Let Christians be reminded that this world is not our home. We are but pilgrims in this barren land.

And a time will come when we will be taken into our real home, the New Jerusalem, in a glorified body, at His second coming.

Yolanda Relief Effort 06/12/2014

Yolanda Relief Effort

The aftermath of the super typhoon Yolanda (Haiyan) has brought much damage to Christians living in Leyte, Philippines. Houses and other infrastructures were ripped off. Power & communication lines were down.

[12/16/13]   The relief operation has entered its reconstruction phase. Another assessment team composed of 3 men was formed to evaluate the construction needs in both Leyte and Cebu. Leyte areas covered: Javier, Abuyog, Baybay City, Ormoc City, Merida, Palompon, Villaba, Tabango, San Isidro, Kananga and Matag-ob. A day was spent to survey Bantayan Island in Northern Cebu.

Construction has started in Kananga, Leyte. A donated chainsaw proved to be very useful. Another was bought in Cebu to help speed up the work.

Purchase of construction materials will be done soon.

Please continue to pray.

Leyte Medical Mission 26/11/2013

"So then, while we have opportunity, let us do good to all people, and especially to those who are of the household of the faith." Galatians 6:10

The medical team provided free clinic to church members plus their relatives & neighbors in Merida, Isabel, San Isidro, Tabango, Villaba, & Kananga.

One church in each of the 6 towns received medical attention. There were approximately 400 individuals served. So much was done in the 2-day mission. We can only wish we could have done more since the need we saw was great.

Other churches that were not served received first aid kits.

Leyte Relief Distribution 25/11/2013

"Now He who supplies seed to the sower and bread for food will supply and multiply your seed for sowing and increase the harvest of your righteousness; you will be enriched in everything for all liberality, which through us is producing thanksgiving to God." 2 Corinthians 9:10, 11

Drop-off Points: Hindang (for Hindang & Inopacan), Baybay (for Baybay and Abuyog), Ormoc, Merida, Isabel, Palompon, Villaba, Tabango (for Tabango & San Isidro) & Kananga (for Kananga & Matag-ob).

The team distributed 300 relief packs to 16 churches plus relatives of some members. Each pack contained: 10 kgs of rice, dried fish, canned goods, noodles & mongo beans. Also distributed were hammer, saw, crowbar, kerosene, canvass, etc.

The team did not get the chance to meet most of the members of the recipient churches since it only had one day to deliver everything.
