Kia ora,
I'm looking for someone who speaks te reo Māori (quite fluently, but doesn't have to be perfect!) to help out for 2/3 hours a week making YouTube videos for a new channel. I would pay $30 per hour.
The channel would be about teaching & learning te reo Māori. You don't have to have any teaching/tutoring experience! You just have to be happy appearing on camera for the videos. If you're interested, please flick me a message. You can also email me on [email protected]
This would be great experience for anyone interested in learning about filmmaking, creating video content. If you're interested in learning about video editing, social media etc., I'm happy to involve you in the process, or if you just want to help film the videos that's fine too.
To give you a rough idea of what we would be doing, here is a video from a German language YouTuber who is teaching German by just going to a local shop and talking about stuff. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u6qyV7Zi948&t=91s&ab_channel=LearnGermanwithAnja We would be doing similar things but with te reo Māori. It will be scripted beforehand, so you won't have to come up with/remember everything in te reo Māori on the spot. We'll just do everything in the easiest/most fun way possible.
Must be over 18, because of YouTube's consent policies.
😊😊 INVITATION, ALL WELCOME 😊😊

Tēnā koutou katoa. I am really excited to remind you that All Saints at Maungatapu have volunteered to be part of this Te Aka Project. Te Aka Project is a trial programme designed by our Te Manawa o te Wheke staff (Sophie, Hinekura, Caughie, Mira) to assist pariha to provide Kura Rātapu through pre-planned lessons and resources. - Giving weekly feedback so that lessons are modified accordingly.
- Attend training, prior to the trial period, to learn how to use the resources.
- Attend an evaluation hui with the Te Aka Team upon completion of the trial.
- Deliver the lessons.

We can receive the following support:
The Te Aka Team will be with us every step of the way.

The school is celebrating its 140th year. As it originally began where All Saints church currently stands, it is fitting that the students and whānau of the kura return to remember and reconnect with this whenua/wāhi.

Every 5th Sunday of the month (if there are 5 Sundays in that month) is an opportunity for one of the congregation or whānau/community member to present their own testimony. Nā reira, nau mai haere mai koutou katoa.😁

'Ko te aroha whakatō, ko te aroha p**a mai' - If kindness is sown, then kindness you shall receive

It is much a duty and pleasure that we frequently give 'from our own cupboards' for those who need it.

Christ instructs us to feed the hungry! And that we most definitely do at Te Hunga Tapu Church.

Every Sunday, whānau bring their kai to be shared with the community, for those in need, for those who are struggling or maybe your just having a really hard week. It may not seem like alot but it is a meal for some especially on these cold winter nights.

We have stockedup our Pataka Kai at 111 Te Hono Street Maungatapu, feel free to drop off more perishable food or if you know someone who needs some kai, theyre welcome to help themselves.

04/07/2020

This Sunday will be the first time in what seems to have been a very long time that we reopen our doors to worship at Te Hunga Tapu Church (All Saints Maungatapu).

We have an amazing crew on board this Sunday and look forward to dusting off the pews for a service of Holy Communion.

Coming to one of our Whare Karakia for this first time this Sunday?
Our teams can't wait to meet you! There'll be heaps of friendly faces, ready to help you feel right at home!

We can't wait to see you all!
