Thank you Hamilton Stake for sharing the Puhi and Fleming families with our Kapa Haka group for Hui Tau. We are performing our gospel-centred waiata and haka for everyone this Saturday 4pm, at the Glenview Stake Centre, 5 Higgins Rd. Everyone is welcome; bring a friend along to share the gospel with.
The stake calendar on LDS tools shows general conference being broadcast on both the 4th and 11th of April. Does that mean we will not have regular church meetings both Sundays?

“When we speak of gathering Israel on both sides of the veil, we are referring, of course, to missionary, temple, and family history work. We are also referring to building faith and testimony in the hearts of those with whom we live, work, and serve. Anytime we do anything that helps anyone—on either side of the veil—to make and keep their covenants with God, we are helping to gather Israel.”

Here's a quote I enjoyed from Oct. 2020 general conference:

"For every infirm man healed instantly as he waits to enter the Pool of Bethesda, someone else will spend 40 years in the desert waiting to enter the promised land. For every Nephi and Lehi divinely protected by an encircling flame of fire for their faith, we have an Abinadi burned at a stake of flaming fire for his. And we remember that the same Elijah who in an instant called down fire from heaven to bear witness against the priests of Baal is the same Elijah who endured a period when there was no rain for years and who, for a time, was fed only by the skimpy sustenance that could be carried in a raven’s claw."
- Jeffrey R. Holland, "Waiting On the Lord,"

[09/09/21]   Dear Hamilton Stake members,

We are grateful for and are uplifted by your love and concern for others through these times and know that you will continue to be mindful of those for whom these restrictions are causing difficulty. We know that the Lord will guide us to strengthen and uplift as we carefully involve him in our plans.

We write to advise that during Delta 2, there will be no block meetings in the chapels on Sundays.

The holding of other meetings during the week -provided numbers are within the 50 limit, such as seminary, baptisms, councils, and presidency meetings may be held. Your Bishops will guide you here. Masks, 2m distancing, and QR scans or signins are required when gathering in chapels.

Bishops may decide to use social media broadcasting to provide discussion and upliftment to the ward, and will continue to ensure that the sacrament is made available to all who wish to receive it.

We also encourage, where able, that we take the time to receive our vaccinations.

With our love,

Dale Anderson
Dan Golder
Ra Harris

The Church Urges More Action to Limit the Spread of COVID-19

The First Presidency of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints sent the following message today to Church members around the world:

Dear Brothers and Sisters:

We find ourselves fighting a war against the ravages of COVID-19 and its variants, an unrelenting pandemic. We want to do all we can to limit the spread of these viruses. We know that protection from the diseases they cause can only be achieved by immunizing a very high percentage of the population.

To limit exposure to these viruses, we urge the use of face masks in public meetings whenever social distancing is not possible. To provide personal protection from such severe infections, we urge individuals to be vaccinated. Available vaccines have proven to be both safe and effective.

We can win this war if everyone will follow the wise and thoughtful recommendations of medical experts and government leaders. Please know of our sincere love and great concern for all of God’s children.
