*Destined For Greatness .*
Friday, April 28th .
Pastor Chris
_*Then Isaac sowed in that land, and received in the same year an hundredfold: and the LORD blessed him. And the man waxed great, and went forward, and grew until he became very great (Genesis 26:12-13).*_
Isaac had received an instruction from the Lord, not to leave his country to Egypt because of the famine in his country. Of course, people were migrating to Egypt to seek relief and Isaac thought to do the same. However, the Lord spoke to him and said, _*“…dwell in the land which I shall tell thee of: Sojourn in this land, and I will be with thee, and will bless thee; for unto thee, and unto thy seed, I will give all these countries, and I will perform the oath which I sware unto Abraham thy father”*_ (Genesis 26:2-3).
Isaac adhered to the Lord’s instruction, and the result is what we see in our opening verse. He grew, waxed great and became very great so much so, that the Philistines envied him in the same land that was ravaged by famine. God destined the man Isaac for greatness, and he would have strayed from that plan had he not harkened to the Lord’s instruction to stay back in Gerar.
Follow the leading of God’s Spirit for your life. Even if you were at crossroads, refuse to be tempted to go in a direction that you know is contrary to what God has shown you or told you. Yield to the Spirit, for He alone knows and has the blue print for your greatness, prosperity, and success. Your greatness isn’t determined by your geographical location or earthly nativity. It’s by your heavenly citizenship, and the continuous deposit of God’s Word in your spirit.
Greatness is your heritage. No matter where you find yourself: at work, home, in school, etc., have the consciousness that you’re destined for greatness.
*Dear Father, I thank you for your greatness that’s in my spirit. I’m the seed of Abraham; therefore, I manifest greatness. Through your Word, and by the Spirit, my prosperity, success, victory, and greatness are evident, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.*

I affirm that I am blessed and highly favoured of the Lord! The Spirit of the Lord has caused every favour and earthly blessing to come to me in abundance, so that I may always and under all circumstances and whatever the need, be self-sufficient, possessing enough to require no aid or support, and furnished in abundance for every good work and charitable donation. Hallelujah! I am not ordinary. The attention of heaven is on me. I am a citizen of Zion - Jerusalem - which is above. I am seated together with Christ in heavenly places, far above all principalities, and powers, and might, and dominion, and every name that is named, not only in this world but also in that which is to come. I can never be a victim in life, for all things are mine, and I reign and rule with Christ. Glory to God!

Thursday, July 28th .
Pastor Chris

And they that be wise shall shine as the brightness of the firmament; and they that turn many to righteousness as the stars for ever and ever (Daniel 12:3).

Our opening scripture addresses those who win souls to Christ; they’re destined to shine as the brightness of the firmament and stars for ever and ever. This lets you know how important you are to the Lord, if you’re a soul winner.

Soul winning is God’s number one job, and as His children, we’re to take the message of salvation to the nations of the world; it’s our mandate: “And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15). The Gospel is man’s only hope; it’s God’s power to bring men out of sin into righteousness, and out of darkness into His marvellous light. Only through the Gospel can men receive eternal life and become partakers of the divine nature.

Through the Gospel, life and immortality have been brought to light (2 Timothy 1:10). Therefore, to know the Gospel; to be saved and then keep it to yourself means you’re not fulfilling the will of God. You must tell others about Christ and the power of His Gospel to save them and make them partakers of His righteousness.

Be passionate about soul winning; do it as though you’re the only person to whom the responsibility has been charged. Put your utmost into it. In Ezekiel 3:17-18 the Lord said, “Son of man, I have made thee a watchman unto the house of Israel: therefore hear the word at my mouth, and give them warning from me….” God has made you a “watchman” over the sinners—the unconverted in your world. Therefore, let the passion for soul winning be in your heart as a burning fire, shut up in your bones, so much so that you’re unable to keep it to yourself (Jeremiah 20:9).

Dear heavenly Father, I thank you for making me a true and dependable minister of the Gospel, an ambassador of Christ. I’m effective today in turning many to righteousness, and from darkness to light, through the power of the Holy Spirit that’s at work in me mightily. I shine as a star forever, because I’m a soul winner, in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Further Study: || John 20:21 Then said Jesus to them again, Peace [be] unto you: as [my] Father hath sent me, even so send I you. ||

|| Mark 5:18-20 And when he was come into the ship, he that had been possessed with the devil prayed him that he might be with him. 19 Howbeit Jesus suffered him not, but saith unto him, Go home to thy friends, and tell them how great things the Lord hath done for thee, and hath had compassion on thee. 20 And he departed, and began to publish in Decapolis how great things Jesus had done for him: and all [men] did marvel. ||

|| 2 Corinthians 4:3-5 But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost: 4 In whom the god of this world hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. 5 For we preach not ourselves, but Christ Jesus the Lord; and ourselves your servants for Jesus' sake. ||

Let Nothing Stop You .

Wednesday, March 9th .

Pastor Chris

And now, behold, I go bound in the spirit unto Jerusalem, not knowing the things that shall befall me there: Save that the Holy Ghost witnesseth in every city, saying that bonds and afflictions abide me. But none of these things move me....(Acts 20:22-24).

When it comes to preaching the Gospel, we must do it unafraid. Paul was aware, through the Spirit's witness, that he'd be put in jail, and be in trouble in Jerusalem, yet he was undeterred. He said, "None of these things move me." He was bold and courageous for the Gospel.

Refuse to fear. Never get to the point where you're intimidated or overwhelmed by the pressures and adversities of life, to affect your commitment to the Gospel. Never faint or give up in the face of adversity. Be strong. Be courageous. Preach the Gospel with boldness.

If you're a church leader, for example, and for some reason you're told your church meetings can't hold, or you can't use a certain venue, it's a fight of faith. Don't chicken out and pack up the church, because of human threats! Don't act as though you're helpless. We're not hamstrung. Pray, and let God's wisdom guide you.

When unreasonable laws are passed to stifle the propagation of the Gospel in your city, get on your knees and pray fervently in tongues, declaring that the city is dominated by the light of the Gospel, and impacted by the force of righteousness. As you pray, proclaim words of faith until you're stirred to prophesy to, and over, the city. Remember, we're unstoppable. So, let nothing deter you.

I refuse to fear, for God hasn't given me a spirit of fear, but of power, of love, and of a sound mind. The life of God is in me; therefore, I'm a victor in Christ Jesus! Greater is He that's in me than he that's in the world!

Further Study: || Isaiah 41:13-14 For I the Lord thy God will hold thy right hand, saying unto thee, Fear not; I will help thee. 14 Fear not, thou worm Jacob, and ye men of Israel; I will help thee, saith the Lord, and thy redeemer, the Holy One of Israel. ||

|| Acts 18:9-11 Then spake the Lord to Paul in the night by a vision, Be not afraid, but speak, and hold not thy peace: 10 For I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city. 11 And he continued there a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. ||

Committed To The Spread Of The Gospel .

Saturday, February 20th .
Pastor Chris

For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me (1 Corinthians 9:16-17).

We have a divine commission to take the Gospel to the ends of the earth. Jesus said: "...Go ye into all the world, and preach the Gospel to every creature" (Mark 16:15). We must, therefore, realize that whatever persecution we endure on account of the Gospel is absolutely worth it.

2 Timothy 3:12 says, "Yea, and all that will live godly in Christ Jesus shall suffer persecution." You're to remain steadfast and immovable, irrespective of the persecutions you may encounter as you propagate the Gospel of our Lord Jesus. Make a commitment that because of you, God will not be limited; let there be no limits to how far you're willing to go, and do, for the Gospel.

Like Jeremiah, irrespective of circumstances, persecutions, tests and trials, keep proclaiming God's Word, because His Word is like fire, shut up in your bones (Jeremiah 20:9).

The Gospel of Jesus Christ is the only hope for the world today. It holds God's answers to all of the predicaments of humanity. Therefore, commit your time and resources to ensuring that the Gospel reaches every nation of the world. Make it your personal responsibility and dream. Make up for the lack of others. The Apostle Paul understood this and considered no sacrifice too great for the Gospel. He said, "...woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel!" (1 Corinthians 9:16). This should be your thinking about the Gospel; it deserves your absolute commitment.

I'm committed, more than ever, to world evangelism, because I'm convinced that the Gospel is the power of God unto salvation to everyone who believes. I take my place in the ministry of the Gospel, fully committed to its spread around the world, fulfilling God's plan of bringing many to righteousness, in the Name of the Lord Jesus. Amen.

Further Study: || 1 Corinthians 9:16-18 For though I preach the gospel, I have nothing to glory of: for necessity is laid upon me; yea, woe is unto me, if I preach not the gospel! 17 For if I do this thing willingly, I have a reward: but if against my will, a dispensation of the gospel is committed unto me. 18 What is my reward then? Verily that, when I preach the gospel, I may make the gospel of Christ without charge, that I abuse not my power in the gospel. ||

|| Romans 1:14-16 I am debtor both to the Greeks, and to the Barbarians; both to the wise, and to the unwise. 15 So, as much as in me is, I am ready to preach the gospel to you that are at Rome also. 16 For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth; to the Jew first, and also to the Greek. ||

The Power Works For Those Who Believe .

Thursday, February 11th .
Pastor Chris

Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth (Mark 9:23).

God's power is available always, to save, bless, heal, and transform lives; but it only works for those who believe. Romans 1:16 emphasizes this; it says, " For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ: for it is the power of God unto salvation to EVERYONE THAT BELIEVETH...." Now, this will clarify some of the assumptions and erroneous beliefs that some people have. For example, there're those who say, "Every sick person for whom Jesus prayed, got healed." But the Bible doesn't say so.

In some places, the Bible says, "And he healed many..." (Mark 1:34). In some other places, it says He "...healed ALL that were sick" (Matthew 8:16). So, when God says "many," and when He says "all," we should know the difference. But then, I want to show you at least one place where healing miracles were hard for Jesus: His hometown of Nazareth.

The Bible lets us know that because of His demeanour, the people murmured, "Is not this the carpenter, the son of Mary, the brother of James, and Joses, and of Juda, and Simon? and are not his sisters here with us? And they were offended at him" (Mark 6:3). They had been so familiar with Him that they disdained Him. They were offended that He was acting differently. Consequently, the Bible says "He could not do any miracles there, except lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them" (Mark 6:5 NIV).

Now, if the Bible says Jesus "COULD NOT do any miracles," it means that He tried; He attempted to, but it didn't work. He couldn't do any mighty work, like the blind receiving sight, the deaf hearing, the lame walking. He couldn't perform such miracles in Nazareth, because the people didn't believe. The Bible says He "marvelled because of their unbelief." Their unbelief short-circuited the power of God.

If you study in the Book of John, several times when Jesus ministered to people, He's say, "Only believe," because if you don't believe, you can't experience the power of God. If you don't believe, He can't save you. The power works for those that believe. There's no impossibility for you, if you'd only believe: "Jesus said unto him, If thou canst believe, all things are possible to him that believeth" (Mark 9:23).

Dear Father, I thank you for your Word, which imparts faith to my spirit. My faith is strong and unwavering. I know who I am, and I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. Halleluiah!

Further Study: || 1 John 5:5 Who is he that overcometh the world, but he that believeth that Jesus is the Son of God? ||

|| Mark 11:23-24 For verily I say unto you, That whosoever shall say unto this mountain, Be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsoever he saith. 24 Therefore I say unto you, What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them. ||
