Compassionate God, we know that there are many people who are grieving, or who are suffering from illness or injury. You know all those who need your help, and we ask that your Spirit will bring peace, healing and comfort to all who are finding life difficult.
Remind us that we are your hands, and that we should do our best to show your love and care to all people everywhere. Lord, we ask that when the need arises, that your Spirit will prompt us to offer whatever help we can, and that we do not let our fear of rejection stop us from doing what we know to be right.

Amen

This Jesus guy, is he a phony or is he the real deal?

"good question, because if he's a phony then all of this is a waste of time. If he's the real deal then this is the most important thing.
I believe that he's the real deal because if we listen to the words that he said -not only the words that he said but the way that he lived those words - he's the real deal"

Rev Jim McNeil, Alva Parish Church

Lord, I’m grappling with this trial.
This test that I need to endure. And I don’t know the answer or outcome. I feel totally out of my depth.
Please help me to trust you. I don’t feel close to you in my disappointment, but I know you are there. That you are closer to me than my own skin.
Give me wisdom and insight into your ways by making me wait, patient, as you invite me ashore.
Amen.
