[06/17/20]   Good Morning everybody. I hope you are all well and that you will all enjoy this week's video. This week is another story about Jesus doing something unexpected and how Zacchaeus becomes friends with Jesus, which changes his life forever. It is filmed in the Church garden, so it might help to make it feel a little more 'back to normal' too. Also, we wish Ruby a very Happy birthday as she turns 3 on Friday. Don't forget to share any pictures of any of the activities that you do - the children would love to see what each other are doing, and so would we! Take care and hope you are all keeping well. God bless, x

Good Morning everyone, we hope this has been a good week and that you are all remaining well (and relatively sane!). Here is this week's 'Home Grown Faith' for families, this week looking the example of the early church and what 'a church' is. The pdf with the live hyperlinks can be found on the church website: www.achurchnearyou.com/church/4121/ or if you are a member of the 'Children and families @ St Thomas' group, in the files section. Have a good day, and stay well, x

[06/14/20]   Our Sunday morning service this week is led by Janet Berrill. Liz Grace brings us God's word from Acts 8 v9-25 Simon the Sorcerer. Roger Woodall also leads us in a time of prayer and reflection.

This week's Rev Ramblings from Sue!

[06/10/20]   Good Morning everybody. I hope you are all well and that you will all enjoy this week's story. We are 'on location' for this one and it is full of activity ideas you might like to try out yourselves at home. This week's story is of Jesus helping Peter to fish and Peter deciding to follow Jesus. A story about a man who chose to listen to Jesus and Jesus far exceeded his expectations. Also a big Happy birthday to Harry who will be 4 this weekend. Take care and hope you are all keeping well. God bless, x

[06/03/20]   Good Morning everybody. I hope you have had a good 'half term' break (if you were able to have one) and we hope that you will enjoy this week's story too. It's 'Noah's Ark' from Genesis Chapters 6-9. A story about a man who was a friend of God and listened to God, and did something that others thought he was crazy for doing, when God asked him to. A story that reminds us that God kept his promise to Noah, and that he keeps his promises to us too. We can be reminded of that every time we see a rainbow! Also a big Happy birthday to Emily and Amelia who will be 3 this week and to Hallie who will be 2 next week too. Take care and hope you are all keeping well. God bless, x

Good Morning everyone, we hope this has been a good week. Here is this week's 'Home Grown Faith' for families, this week looking at Pentecost and the birth-day of the church. The UK Blessing — Churches sing 'The Blessing' over the UK

If you have not heard this yet, it is just such an uplifting, goosepimply listen and moment of worship, that is so worth 6 minutes 46 seconds of your time. I can pretty much guarantee you will listen to this more than once! May you receive the blessing as is it sung over you: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PUtll3mNj5U

May none of you need this but if you do, may you know it is there and that you will get the help that you need:

[05/20/20]   Good Morning everybody. I hope you enjoy this week's story David and Goliath from 1 Samuel 17. A story about a little boy's bravery to face an armed and powerful giant, with nothing but a slingshot (and God beside him!). May you all have the courage to face any 'giants' in your lives, knowing that God is beside you and wants to protect you, just like he did the young boy, David, against the giant, Goliath. Happy birthday to Toby who will be 3 next week and to Ezra who will be 1 next week too. (No video story next week and is should have been half term, but all being well, I'll be back with a story on the 3rd June). Take care and hope you are all keeping well. God bless, x

[05/19/20]   Good Morning Tom's Toddlers and Footprints families (and any families for that matter). Just a heads up for tomorrow's story, that I will invite you to have a go at playing a game of skittles together. Therefore, if you have any, you might want to get them out ready. Or if you don't, you could always make your own game by filling a couple of small bottles with water and use whatever ball, bean bag, (toilet roll) or suitable throwing item that you have that is suitable (and safe!) instead. It doesn't have to be complicated, but just a chance for a bit of homemade and simple fun if you want to!

Daniel and the Lion's Den (Tom's Toddlers and Footprints families)

Good Morning Tom's Toddlers and Footprints families. In place of being able to meet in person, here is this week's story, singing time and birthdays via video. My little helpers Emily and Daniel help to tell the story of Daniel in the lion's den (from Daniel 6), with my Daniel (rather confusingly!) playing a part of a lion and Emily playing the part of an angel. Look out for another scary looking lion too!

For all the Star Wars fans in the congregation...Being the 4th May...

Worship For Everyone

It is Family at 4pm time!

Join us at 4pm BST 29 April for Episode 1 of Season 2! All Age worship, Bible Teaching and lots of fun with Nick & Becky Drake and family!

This week's story

Good Morning to all our families on what should be our Tom's Toddlers and Footprints day. We do hope you are all staying well. Here is an incredible story from the Bible read by our Children and Families worker, Hannah, about how Jesus calms a storm (Mark 4 v. 35-41). What an amazing story! May Jesus calm any storms in your life right now. (I apologise for the noise of the wind a couple times - unlike Jesus, I'm afraid I am unable to control the wind!). Hope you can join in with the singing and the story together as a family. Stay well and hope to see you all soon, x

Sunday 26th April - Online Morning Service

Good morning everyone! Here is today's online service for you all to enjoy. A big thank you to Janet for leading, Jeremy for preaching on John 21 and Julie for our prayers and reflections. If you want to take part in next week's service, please let us know.

Good Morning Folks, hope you are all remaining well. Here is this week's 'Home Grown Faith', this week looking at Jesus meeting his friends on the road to Emmaus, shortly after his death and resurrection. Jesus' friends took some time to realise that it was Jesus that they were talking with, even when he was right beside them. May you all know that Jesus is beside us, wherever we are right now, and may we all come to recognise his presence better, even when it may not always seen obvious. The pdf with the live hyperlinks can be found on the website https://www.achurchnearyou.com/church/4121/ or if you are a member of the 'Children and families @ St Thomas' group, in the files section. Have a good day, all of you, and very much looking forward to being able to see you all in person again!

Sue Quibell has produced each week a range of bible study notes that may be useful. Here is her 7th edition of them.

Please see Sue Quibell's weekly ramblings sent out this week....
