[07/25/19]   GOD TOLD EZEKIEL THAT THE RIGHTEOUS WOULD BE LOST IF HE SINNED

" Again, when a righteous man turns from his righteousness, and commits iniquity, and I lay a stumbling-block before him, he shall die: because you have not given him warning, he shall die in his sin, and his righteousness which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand." ( Ezekiel. 3:20; 18:24,26; 32:12,13; 33:18)

NOTE: These scriptures are really very clear. "WHEN A RIGHTEOUS MAN TURNS FROM HIS RIGHTEOUSNESS AND COMMITS INIQUITY....HE SHALL DIE IN HIS SIN. " ( Ezekiel 3:20; 18:24; 18:26; 33:13). " HE SHALL EVEN DIE BY IT" ( Ezek. 33:18).

No honest Christian should need to go any further than these verses, to know that a righteous man's salvation can be lost if he sins. He cannot remain in sin if he wishes to be saved.. Although some may try to pass over these scriptures because they are Old Testament, be warned, " ALL SCRIPTURE IS GIVEN BY INSPIRATION OF GOD, AND IS PROFITABLE FOR DOCTRINE, FOR REPROOF, FOR CORRECTION, FOR INSTRUCTION IN RIGHTEOUSNESS." ( 2 Timothy 3:16), and " Whatever things were written before were written for our learning" ( Romans 15:4). Paul said that he believed, "ALL THINGS WHICH ARE WRITTEN IN THE LAW AND THE PROPHETS:" ( Acts 24:14), and if he believed them, then we ought to believe them also.

Jesus made it clear that nobody could pluck us out of His hand ( John 10:28, 29), but that refers to us being tested under persecution, not to us making a decision to go the wrong way. SELAH!

[07/08/19]   MORALITY IN GOVERNMENT

People need to come to understand that government exists to serve the people, not to control and exploit them. God says leaders have a responsibility to serve, that governmental leadership exists for the benefit of the people ( Romans 13:1-4; 1 Peter 2:13-17)

In Matthew 20:25-28, we see professing Christians are to set an example of service when in positions of authority in government, that those who hold higher positions must set an example of service to those under them in authority.

Similarly, the one at the top must set the highest possible personal example in moral conduct. People are greatly influenced by their leaders. The people should not expect perfection, because all have sinned ( Romans 3:23), but leaders should set a much higher standard than the average person, since their positions give them influence over far more people.

Throughout the history of ancient Israel, when the people had a good king, THEY FOLLOWED GOD; when they had a king who turned away from God, THE PEOPLE WENT RIGHT ALONG WITH HIM.

Nations suffer the consequences of sinful acts by those at the top.

Nations, like individuals, may postpone the consequences of sin! But eventually all will reap what they have sown.

Solomon's three biggest problems were overspending, excessive taxation ( Kings 12:4), and his desire for women ( 1Kings 11:1-6), which led him away from worshipping God. Things haven't changed much. We often find the same weaknesses in leaders today: The love of money, and the hot pursuit of extra-marital relationships.

The sad fact is that democratically elected governments around the world can become casualties, often as a result of corruption permeating their societies.

Corruption has always been a major problem, and no governmental system can fully protect its people from it.

WHAT IS THE PRIMARY CAUSE OF CORRUPTION? It's simple: GREED. Sometimes it's a lust for power. Whereas government should be oriented toward the benefit of those who are governed, often the emphasis is on self-service, with leaders helping themselves first.

The Bible tells us " The love of money, is the root of all kinds of evil." ( 1 Tim. 6:10).

Financial and s*xual scandals afflict governments regularly, causing people to lose respect for their leaders and with them governmental systems itself, placing the nation at risk.

The lack of morality in government has become a worldwide problem. No nation is immune. Sexual and financial scandals plague many governments.

When political morals are in decline, as at present, and politics is becoming more corrupt, the need for policing the system is very pressing.

The only government that don't seem to suffer from these problems are those that strictly control news, thereby covering up the immorality and corruption taking place.

WHAT WILL IT TAKE TO END CORRUPTION?

What will it take to put an end to immorality and corruption in government? Sadly it won't end until there is a change of heart in leaders.

These sins have brought declining respect for government workers. But leaders have only themselves to blame. Rather than admit their sins and REPENT, they blame political opponents or point to the fact that virtually every leader has had similar problems.

THERE IS COMING A PERFECT GOVERNMENT

The Bible predicts a time when the world will at last live under a perfect government, where bribery, corruption and s*x scandals will be unknown. This prophesied era will see real justice when nations abide by God's code of morality, living by His laws.

This does not mean government cannot improve now. The Bible has withstood the test of time, but few national leaders are willing to embrace the Godly morality it teaches.

God's Word is widely available. His laws have been in effect since the beginning of time. Breaking those laws lead to suffering and the many social ills we see around us. But, when people live by them, they reap the resultant good rewards.

As with individuals, so it is with nations. People follow the example of their leaders. When the leaders set an example of immorality, greed, and corruption, they can only expect the people to do likewise, with the terrible consequences for their nations and society.

I THEREFORE CALL ON OUR LEADERS TO REPENT.....AND TURN BACK TO THE GOD OF THE BIBLE....AND SAVE OUR NATION FROM DESTRUCTION.

[05/14/19]   GOD IS NO RESPECTOR OF PERSONS

Acts 10:34, Then Peter opened his mouth, and said, of a truth I perceive that God is no respector of persons. ( Also see , Romans 2:11; Eph. 6:9; James 2:9)

Note: There are some scriptures ( Gen. 4:4-5; Exodus 2:25; Psalm 138:6) which indicate that God does respect persons in a sense. HE IS NO REPECTOR OF "WHO" OR " WHAT" WE ARE IN THIS WORLD, BUT HE IS A RESPECTOR OF "WHAT" WE ARE SPIRITUALLY, THE STATE OF OUR SPIRITUAL HEART. He does not respect a Pharisee above a Publican ( Luke 18:10-14), or a rich man above a poor man ( Luke 16:19-31; James 2:15).

GOD CONSIDERS EACH OF US ACCORDING TO THE STATE OF OUR HEART, " FOR THE LORD SEES NOT AS MAN SEES; FOR MAN LOOKS ON THE OUTWARDS APPEARANCE, BUT THE LORD LOOKS AT THE HEART " ( 1 Sam. 16:7). He rewards us according to our righteousness ( 2 Sam. 22:21,25; 1 Kings 3:2; 8:6; 2 Chron 6:23; Psalms 18:20,24), which depends on us having God's Word in our hearts ( Ps. 37; 30-31; Isa. 51:7) , and according to our faith ( Matthew 8:13; 9:22, 29; 15:28; 21:22; Mark 5:34,36; 10:52; 11:24; Luke 8:48,50; 17:9;18:42), which also requires God's Word in our hearts ( Romans 10:8).

So Abel's offering was accepted, while Cain's was rejected ( Gen 4:4-5), simply because " by faith Abel offered to God a more excellent sacrifice than Cain" ( Heb. 11:4).
As God had healed many people in the past ( Matthew 4:23; 8:16; 9:35; 12:15; 14:14; 15:30; 9:2, etc.), then He will also heal now when the required conditions are fulfilled, otherwise He would be having respect of persons. Not only would this be a sin to Him ( James 2:9), but it would go against all His promises of healing, make Him a liar, and God cannot lie ( Numbers 23:19; Titus 1:2). Selah!

SKILLS FOR COMMUNICATION

Communication acts as the bridge that connects the lives of two persons in a marriage, making free access to the other persons heart and mind possible. Communication is not just important, but essential, to a marriage. To begin with, we need to realize the incredible power of words. According to the Bible, the universe and everything in it was created by God's spoken words. In like manner, much of the private world surrounding each of us has been created by words -- our own or those spoken over us by others -- which we believed. Proverbs 18:20-21 explains this truth:

FROM THE FRUIT OF HIS MOUTH A MAN'S STOMACH IS FILLED, WITH THE HARVEST FROM HIS LIPS HE IS SATISFIED: THE TONGUE HAS THE POWER OF LIFE AND DEATH, AND THOSE WHO LOVE IT WILL EAT ITS FRUIT ( NIV)

Words possess incredible power -- power to wound or heal, to destroy or build up. We must discipline ourselves to use words that build up, strengthen, encourage and heal. The opposite occurs when we succumb to the common temptation to wage warfare on our spouse because of frustrations or hurt.

When you realize you have launched verbal missles, repent and ask for forgiveness.

Not only must we understand the incredible power in words, but we must also understand that one day we will give account to God for every single word we speak. In Matthew 12:36-37, Jesus said this concerning the future Judgment:

BUT I TELL YOU THAT MEN WILL HAVE TO GIVE ACCOUNT ON THE DAY OF JUDGMENT FOR EVERY CARELESS WORD THEY HAVE SPOKEN. FOR BY YOUR WORDS YOU WILL BE ACQUITTED, AND BY YOUR WORDS YOU WILL BE CONDEMNED.

If you have spoken words you know are unclean or harmful, or you continue speaking them, you must repent to God and ask His forgiveness. When you do, He will forgive you as the atoning blood of Jesus erases your sin. In other words, if you will sincerely repent from the sins of your mouth, you will not have to stand in judgment for them on the last day.

Next, you need to understand how essential communication is in bonding your marriage. Regardless of how long you have known each other or how good your marriage is otherwise, you simply cannot become intimate as a couple without proper communication.

Lastly, the basic need for good communication is understanding and accepting the differences between men and women. Proper communication in a marriage can occur only when the needs and differences of each spouse and understood and respected.

[04/04/19]   DEVELOPING YOUR RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD

You may or may not presently be involved in a local church fellowship. During separation it is particularly important that you find other Christians with whom you can fellowship. It is true that the church can be justly criticized. How often we hear individuals say, " I don't want to attend that church because it's filled with hypocrites." That is likely true. Hypocrites and sinners regularly attend most churches, but without hypocrites and sinners, who would be left to attend? For we all have sinned, and we are all sometimes hypocritical. Attending church does not mean we are perfect. It means that we are seeking growth. In most Christian churches you are likely to find friendly people who will welcome you and are likely to find friendly people who will welcome you and who will seek to help you. We were not meant to live alone. It was God who said in the beginning, " It is not good for man to be alone" ( Genesis 2:18). The Psalmist also said, " God makes a home for the lonely" ( Psalm 68:6). During the days when you are separated from your spouse, you desperately need the fellowship of the larger family of God. When many people think of church, they think only of attending the Sunday morning worship service. That is fine, but it is only a part of any church worthy of the name. The church is the " Called- out -ones," those who have responded to Jesus Christ as Lord and who came together to learn and to encourage each other. Small Bible study and prayer groups are vital in the fellowship of a church. Be sure that you do not simply sample the Sunday sermon. Get involved in the small group studies where you can find answers to the questions that arise. Many churches offer classes designed to help the separated. Most pastors are also willing to give personal counseling. If you have not been attending church regularly, start this week. Find a group of Christians with whom you can identify and with whom you can come to share and who will give you the encouragement and support you need. You must not come to the church with the idea of receiving only, but you must also come with the idea of giving of your ability to others. You must ask, " What do I have to offer anyone else? I can't handle my own problems," The fact is, you will probably encounter others at the church who have problems similar to yours, and you may be able to share with them something you are discovering in your relationship with God. Attending church is never a one way street. We are told in Hebrews 10 that we are to exhort, comfort, and encourage each other, and that is likely to take place in any Christian church that is authentic.

[03/31/19]   RECEIVING OUR HEALING BY FAITH PLEASES GOD

( See Matthew 4:23; 8:16; 9:35;12:15;15:30; Mark 6:56; Luke 4:40; 9:11; John 8:29; Hebrew 11:6)

Note: Receiving our healing by faith pleases God, but being healed with drugs, medicines, ointments, or surgery does not. Doctors diagnose according to the condition of the flesh when they check the temperature, the pulse, the breathing, the blood pressure, and so on; but do they ever check the spiritual condition of the patient? Paul said, those who are in the flesh cannot please God "(Romans 8:6), and without faith it is impossible to please Him" ( Hebrews 11:6), so doctors can never please God as long as they diagnose and treat according to the flesh. Those who profess to believe in Christ, and prescribe the same treatments as unbelievers, show that their confidence is in the drugs, and not in God. Divine healing relies totally upon the supernatural power of God to manifest a healing, and this trust in Him is what pleases God. Jesus never used drugs or medicines, or sent people to the physicians for treatment, but every healing was done totally by faith in the Father, and that is why He could say, " I do always those things that pleases Him" ( John 8:29). If we wish to please God, then we need to receive our healing by faith, without drugs or medicines, because "WITHOUT FAITH IT IS IMPOSSIBLE TO PLEASE HIM" ( Hebrews 11:6).
