Tonight, take a moment to read this calming prayer by Brian McLaren, titled, 'For Your Quarantine Safety':

“Spirit of Wisdom, Truth, and Peace, guide us through this difficult time, and help us to resist the temptation to dream nostalgically of the old normal we have lost.

Instead, help us lean forward toward a new normal, a wiser and better way of life that is more in harmony with your love for all people and for all creation.

Help us better understand and value our interconnectedness on this beautiful, fragile planet. Empower all who serve the common good, encourage all who suffer, and expose all who mislead, whether through ignorance, greed, fear, or malice.

Give birth to a new generation of moral leaders around the world, moral leaders who are guided by a just vision for the future rather than limited habits of the past … in our families and faith communities, in our cities and states and nations, and around this interconnected world, for the good of all.”

Remember this as we enter another week of social distancing etc.

Wise words from Corrie ten Boom for us to ponder ...

Thought for Thursday ... In these difficult times when anxiety, stress and worry threaten to swamp, we turn to God in prayer ... prayer for ourselves and prayer for our communities - near and far. We pray for healing for those who are fighting COVID19, for those who have lost loved ones, for health care workers, Government Leaders and those workers in the front line who are essential to our ongoing life.

A thought for Tuesday as we continue through this difficult period in our life together and as part of the global community. A lot is happening in this present time that is faith, life and society changing. We turn to God and 'give our prayer knees a good workout' ...

The way we do things is changing rapidly as we face this Coronavirus. Life is going in ways we never dreamed would happen. It is like a science fiction movie unrolling before us except we are the protagonists. At this time, we turn toward our Creator God and seek God's promises and God's compassionate heart knowing that God, Our Creator, Redeemer and Sustainer, is in our midst. To God we take our fears, our concerns, our worries and our hopes and leave them in God's hands. As the Psalmist has written: In all your ways acknowledge God, and God will direct your paths.

Dear Friends, due to the Coronavirus, services have been suspended until further notice. We pray for God's healing upon our global community at this time of crisis. Keep in contact with one another and share the Light that shines in the darkness and cannot be put out.

Yesterday for his sermon, Jason Brown, spoke about Philippians 4:6 'Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.' Our Monday Meditation reminds us of casting all our cares on God through prayer for God cares for us.

Mid week meditation:

Early in the New Year as we return to work and various activities, let's ponder ...

Our country is ablaze. Homes are lost; people have died; are being evacuated; Stock animals, pets and Aussie animals are being lost in the fires. Let us be in prayer for our Rural Fire Service men and women as they battle these ongoing fires. May they have renewed strength and courage as they serve us in this way. Be with this families who worry and safeguard their own properties. We pray for evacuations occurring with the Navy at this time ... that all goes well. As the fires reach critical point over these next days, we pray for calm and tolerance. We pray for our Leaders that they may listen. Above all, we pray for rain. For rain to come and heal our land.

A Happy New Year to everyone and may 2020 be filled with joy, hope, peace and love. May this verse from a poem by Minnie Louise Haskins and quoted by King George VI during this New Year Radio Broadcast in 1939 be as meaningful for you as it is for me...

We invite you to celebrate Christmas with us over the next week. Sunday 22nd December Service commences 8.30am followed by Morning Tea. Christmas Day service commences 9am. We welcome you to share these service of joy and celebration with us.
