Divine Reflections, Muringoor

A 83-Year-old man, who doesn't have a part of one of the lungs, with a hip problems, praying in a completely empty Saint Peter's square, helped carry the weight of a whole humanity 🙏😢✝️❤️💛

Even being insulted by many, visibly down, gives us such a beautiful example of love and hope, trusting in Jesus, and crying out to God for us.

Papa, you were not alone, the square was empty, but at the same time so full, because our heart and our prayers were facing there.

Taught that even in the distance, the hearts can embrace, and in the closeness of faith, we were never so united.

I will never forget this day: March 27, 2020.

In a country desoled by the virus with thousands of dead, in the midst of so much pain, a scene that brings hope and light, in front of the miraculous crucifix that already saved Rome from the plague many years ago.

Long live our dearest and blessed #PopeFrancis ❤️

I'm sure God so merciful, will hear the cry of His people for the end of the pandemic 🙏

LENT 2020 CRL I Prayer Meeting 25-03-2020

25th Mar 2020

Archdiocese of Brisbane

Pope Francis has invited all Christians around the globe to unite today, Wednesday 25th March at noon to pray the Our Father together.

As we are all united in the pandemic, may we all be united in prayer, Pope Francis.

Could also be a lovely opportunity to connect with family and friends and pray together over the phone or FaceTime.

Priest calls for spiritual adoption of victims dying alone from coronavirus

NO ONE DIES ALONE!
=================

Earlier this evening I was reading a news report on the SkyNews website which, quoting a doctor in a hospital in Italy, had the headline: “Everyone Dies Alone.” It was a very sobering and tragically sad report, describing how, because they have to be isolated, those suffering and slowly dying from Covid19 meet their end without the comfort and consolation of their relatives and loved ones. The medical staff do what they can, but they are overwhelmed by the task that lies before them. When I read that headline, immediately I was stirred to begin this little project.

Inspired by a scene in the Diary of St. Faustina, where she was spiritually transported by the Lord in order to pray the Chaplet of Divine Mercy at the bedside of a dying man she did not know, I would like to suggest that we would each commit to praying the Divine Mercy Chaplet each day for the days ahead to spiritually place ourselves beside one of the poor unfortunate men and women who are dying alone in hospitals all over the world because of this virus, some of whom are perhaps not well prepared spiritually for their earthly end. If families were to pray it then several dying persons would be spiritually adopted with the one prayer of the Chaplet.

Praying the Chaplet for the dying, we will petition Jesus to enfold them in his Merciful Love in their final hours and grant them a strong experience of his consoling presence before they take their leave of this life. This would be a great act of mercy and love for those who are victims of this virus and who are approaching their end.

Please consider taking part in this project. There is no need to sign up to anything. It is a simple movement which, please God, will bear enormous fruit for the souls for whom we pray. I would appreciate it if you were to pass this on to others you know who might be willing to take up this spiritual work of mercy. In the final weeks of Lent it would be a good spiritual practice to incorporate into our prayer routine.

Yours in the Hearts of Jesus and Mary,

Fr. Philip

CRL - Lent - 09 March 2020

DAY 8

CHARIS International

Dear friends of the Catholic Charismatic Renewal from all over the world,

You all know that we are experiencing an unprecedented crisis in our world today with the coronavirus epidemic. The situation is so serious that in some countries, such as Korea or Italy, religious gatherings, including masses, can no longer take place.
Many of you are certainly already carrying all this in your prayers, but we would like to widen the circle of prayer to all the members of the Renewal throughout the world. Let us all together raise our prayer to heaven!
Jesus healed the sick by the power of the Holy Spirit. We propose that we turn to this same Holy Spirit to ask for the end of the epidemic, the healing of the sick and the salvation of the souls of those who die from it.
For this, we propose that you pray every day until the end of the epidemic, the sequence of Pentecost in which the Church prays for the healing of the sick, followed by three Hail Marys.
Let us ask with faith that the Holy Spirit may descend upon our wounded world and manifest the Father's tenderness for those who suffer. Let us ask Mary to spread her maternal mantle of protection over all men.
Thank you to all those who will join us in this campaign of intercession.
In union of prayer

Jean-Luc Moens
Moderator of CHARIS

Sequence to the Holy Spirit

Come, Holy Spirit,
send forth the heavenly
radiance of your light.

Come, father of the poor,
come, giver of gifts,
come, light of the heart.

Greatest comforter,
sweet guest of the soul,
sweet consolation.

In labor, rest,
in heat, temperance,
in tears, solace.

O most blessed light,
fill the inmost heart
of your faithful.

Without your grace,
there is nothing in us,
nothing that is not harmful.

Cleanse that which is unclean,
water that which is dry,
heal that which is wounded.

Bend that which is inflexible,
fire that which is chilled,
correct what goes astray.

Give to your faithful,
those who trust in you,
the sevenfold gifts.

Grant the reward of virtue,
grant the deliverance of salvation,
grant eternal joy.
Amen.

Our Story

COMMUNITY OF THE RISEN LORD –BRISBANE (CRL-Brisbane)

The Community of the Risen Lord in Brisbane had humble beginnings with one family following the message from the CRL website every Friday at their home in June 2012. However as time went by, God sent various people from different walks of life to become part of the Brisbane community.

As the group grew it became evident that we would need to move to a bigger venue and at the and in God’s perfect time HE provided a wonderful venue in Christ the King Church Churchill Street, Graceville 4075 where we meet every Friday.

Weekly Prayer meeting in English - Christ the King Chruch, 01 Churchill street, Graceville : Every Friday @ 7.15pm

Following our second retreat in 2014 the need for a youth and young adults meeting was keenly felt and as we prayed and waited upon the Lord he opened the doors and today a group young adults meet twice a month to interact with each other and build their faith.

Bi-monthly Youth and Young adults meeting - St James Church hall ,165 Old Cleveland Road, Coorparoo 4151: Every 1st and 3rd Sunday @ 11.00am

We felt God call us to serve the Sri Lankan community in a special way and in 2015 the monthly Sinhala meeting was started to cater for the Spiritual needs of the Sinhala speaking people of Brisbane

Monthly Prayer meeting in Sinhala - Our Lady of Graces church,100-108 Mayfield road, Carina : Every 2nd Saturday @ 3.00pm

God continues to lead the Brisbane community one step at a time, into his perfect plan, and we on our part feel humbled and privileged to be led by our Good Shepherd on the mission for which he has commissioned us here in Brisbane.

Please refer to our website www.crlmain.org for more information.
