Toowong Uniting Church is a Christian church in Brisbane. Our longing is to free people to love God in relevant worship, to love one another through authentic relationships and to love the world by serving people both near and far with humility and joy.
Toowong Uniting Church is a Christian church that services the inner Western Suburbs of Brisbane in Queensland, Australia. Toowong is an energetic, culturally-diverse, socially-mobile suburb. Fifty percent of the inhabitants are between the ages of 18-30. Many are students or visiting academics at the nearby universities: University of Queensland or Queensland University of Technology. Some of Toowong’s population are elderly residents who have lived in the suburb all their lives. This rich and diverse mix is reflected in our congregation. Everyone is welcome! Located in Sherwood Road, Toowong, the Toowong Uniting Church is a few hundred metres from Toowong Village Shopping Centre and the cafes of Sherwood Road and High Street, within easy walking distance of the Brisbane-Ipswich train line and City Council bus routes. Here's a list of some of the ways you could connect with us during the week: - Sundays 9am - a contemporary, family friendly time of teaching and worship, with a children's and youth program during the service - Sundays 6pm - a night time service for all ages - Monday 8am - we gather together to pray - Tuesday at 7pm (fortnightly) - we meet as a "Pastorate" (see the website for more info) - Throughout the week there is a Friday morning playgroup, Monday morning English Conversation Classes, a monthly Wednesday morning meeting for the "young at heart,", and a variety of social events! We'd love to meet you, so feel free to contact us at the office for more information or to come along to one or more of these gatherings and say g'day.

There’s a note from Matt, along with information about this Sunday’s service so you can worship with us at home. You’ll also find some updates from the Care & Connect Team, details about our “Pray All Day” event, and more!
Thank you for helping us make this video of the Lord's Prayer so we can pray together!

Since going online, we’re aware that people are joining with us in worship from all around Brisbane, Australia and the world. We’d love to see all your faces, so that’s why we’re making a “Passing the Peace” video!
Upload your videos here by Wednesday, 29 April:
All you have to do is record yourself saying “Peace be with you from (your location)”. If you live in Brisbane, you can use your suburb as your location. If you are from further afield, use your city or country. Please share this with your friends or family who are tuning in from different places. You might also like to record your video using your native language.
We hope to show the finished product during worship on Sunday 3 May.

trinity.qld.edu.au No doubt this is about the 112th article you’ve read on how Christians ought to respond to COVID-19. What else can be said at this point? I don’t have any original profundities to share, but did want to give Trinity’s wider community a peek into how online learning and fellowship has begun, an...

Check out this great article from Simon Gomersall, Lecturer in Historical and Contemporary Mission at Trinity College Queensland about the missional opportunities the current COVID-19 situation provides.
trinity.qld.edu.au I recently had a fascinating conversation with my son, Alister, in his senior year at Brisbane Boys’ College. Like most of his peers, he’s been feeling deeply discouraged by the impact the Corona Virus has already had, and will continue to have, on his final year. Everything has, or is, being ca...
In response to the COVID-19 health crisis, let's join Christians across Australia by praying every night at 7pm. Let's pray for health workers, cleaners, supermarket staff, and all those working front-line roles. Let's pray for all those suffering in any way; for those with health concerns, anxiety, or dealing with economical hardship.
These prayer images and the call to pray every night at 7pm come from Alpha Australia
